I liked my 5501 version of this pistol so much I bought this one too. Now I have two great shooters with slightly different personalities and four clips to pre-load for uninterrupted shooting. Two more clips might be necessary, because I get over 80-90 shots with both of these guns routinely. Both guns are made in Japan. This 5502 features blowback, relatively quiet operation, slide lock after the last shot, red dot indicator when cocked, de-cocking lever, easy to use safety, nice rail for optics, smooth as butter clip for loading and removal, nice trigger, very accurate if you take your time, and great looks. This gun has all the features you could want, and at this price point and quality of construction I don't see how any complaints are possible. Yes, it might look like plastic up close, but the slide is metal, and at four feet it really doesn't look plasticky at all. It has good weight, and with a red/green dot mounted, the weight is perfect for my hand. Strongly recommend this gun or the 5501 if an under-barrel laser is your choice for aiming.

asked andrewI'd say it will hold up well with care. Pellgun oil on the co2, don't throw the gun around, wipe down prints once in a while, keep it in a case, sure, it will do just fine.

I ordered two of these, one for a friend. I added accessories to both of them which included a Red-Dot sight and a laser for the lower rail. I also purchased extra magazines. Really nice guns for the price. They are actually built and assembled in Japan.
Pros
Very accurate for a BB pistol and they shoot in the high 400's. We actually went through about 10 magazines per Co2. That is a lot of quality shots for a blow-back BB pistol. Again the accuracy was pretty amazing. We were shooting 16 yards away and consistently hit empty shotgun-shell casings.
Cons
The plastic packaging is not very attractive. Charge $5 more and put these in a quality box!!
