Pros and Cons
October 10, 2012
The aftermath CZ 75D Co2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol was my first foray into the world of airsoft. I purchased it last week because my preferred carry firearms are CZ 75-based models, and I wanted to practice with the same ergonomics. The pistol is surprisingly similar to the real thing. It is a nice shooting pistol. I am also training my 12 yr old grand daughter to shoot with it, and she is having an absolute BALL with the thing (think Top Shot). The sights are nice and very visible. I seem to have had an issue with the pistol from the beginning, however. The hop-up adjuster doesn't seem to make much change. I've tried it in various positions and it almost seems that its screw-hole in the hop-up chamber is stripped. The screw has no real "bottom" and feels stripped. I'm going to keep trying to adjust, but the gun really needs hop-up adjustment. Even at 5 yards or so, we have to aim 2" below a tin can to get the BB to not fly over the top. Next, the spring-loaded flippy thing on the bottom of the magazine used for tightening the C02 cartridge is already crumbling to pieces, and I've never dropped the magazine on the ground or anything. Another gripe is that it seems impossible to find anyone online (at least in the US) that has extra magazines listed for this pistol available.
Pros:Solid feel and very realistic. Good velocity, decent noise level and really fun to shoot.
Cons:Some parts aren't really durable such as the hop-up screw hole and the CO2 tightening screw flippy thing. Another con is the Inability to find extra magazines.
