The Air Venturi .50 cal Air Bolt is a brand new and exciting way to hunt with an airgun. It's a perfect blend of archery and traditional rifle hunting as these Air Bolts really pack a punch and can be accurately shot at distances up to 50 yards!

Using the Dragon Claw .50 cal we were able to achieve speeds just over 500 fps. Which means these 430 grain carbon fiber bolts can achieve 230 foot pounds! That's more than most heavy duty crossbows, but yet all from the ease of your airgun that can still fire slugs making for a double use airgun.

Each arrow comes with a 100 grain field tip inserted on the bolt with standard threads that can be swapped out with other standard broadheads. Hunting just got a lot more exciting.

Note that some state agencies consider the Air Bolt a muzzle load thus you may be able to hunt during muzzle loader season. Some state agencies, like Michigan, will not allow you to hunt with Air Bolts so make sure to check with your local state agencies to confirm what game and when you can use your Air Venturi Air Bolts to hunt with.

I bought the strongest target on the market and tuning it in be prepared to buy 2-3 boxes of arrows bc it will sink into the target at 40 yards and the .50 end comes off the arrow when pulling it out ..

Pros
Be nice once you get it set up to shoot

Cons
The arrow will go through the target

You can take down any sized game with a nasty broadhead attached! But I've found 75 yards to be the max distance while retaining accuracy. Careful, splitting bolts with these tack drivers can get expensive. I WISH AIR VENTURI WOULD MAKE AIR BOLTS WITH A CARBON FIBER SHAFT LIKE CROSSBOWS! It would increased the lethality while making them much more durable. If you own a Dragon, you need some of these!

Pros
Gives you options on one weapon. The arrow platform is devastating. These actually are more lethal than any 336 grain led pellet. These go through cars, wood 4x4, bears, dragons and much more.

Cons
#1 Expensive. #2 Nock is a gonner half the time you shoot them. Especially when it passes through things, nock usually gets damaged or lost. Buy extra nocks!

The Air Bolt is really awesome. With a loud crack from my Wingshot, I am able to hurl an arrow a hundred feet and bury it so deeply in a crossbow target that you have to cut it out to extract it. Once the hit zone is located, the delivery is consistent and deadly(appearing). A .50 cal. slug smacking a splash target may be impressive, but that arrow penetration truly punctuates the loud snap of the Wingshot. And, ironically, that is the crux of my confusion about the Air Bolt. A bow or crossbow essentially accomplishes the same deadly result SILENTLY. How cool is that?! The Air Bolt is impressive to watch but announces its effect loudly - kinda like the newest thing in de-stealth technology. Its fun to shoot, but what's really the point (some pun intended)?

Pros
Lots of Fun

Cons
A noisy arrow
