Just started using it. It's a HOSS! Just shot a pesky alligator in the front yard that was a threat to the kids with a .45cal 405gr Air Venturi, went straight through it's head - immediate lights out! This rifle has already paid for itself. I'm sure this thing will have many uses. I will be making it a little quieter though, as is its a little loud for bystanders, most would think its a center fire or carbine for sure. I added a Maddog stock with a 4in rail plus both sling studs and butt stand - which gives it a great feel and improves accuracy, a must for the serious.

Pros
Power! This thing has amazing stopping power. I would feel confident to use it to take down large pests! It cocks and loads very easy. AirForce seems to have great followup service and customer support,

Cons
I think the little pony tank is kinda useless and its regulated to 2800 give or take, it does not hold much air and have to top it off with big tank to often. The only real purpose for it would be treking on a long hunt, it wil give you a few more high powered shots.

Gun shoots for will although I have no idea what it'll do it with a full charge in the tank as the air Venturi 90 CC tank they send you does not allow you to fill the tank up fully it has a 25 to 2700 PSI output cap which means you'll never get 3000 PSI in the tank of your gun

Pros
Crazy accurate for airgun love the way it shoots

Cons
The gun the scope awesome the Venturi 90 cubic inch air tank that comes with it do not waste your money it will never fill your tank up to 3000 psi as the regulator on the tank limits its output to 2500 to 2700 PSI

This Air Force, Big Texan air rifle is one of the finest shooting weapons I have ever fired. - and, as a former Marine Scout Sniper, I have fired some extremely potent rifles. While it does not have the range of a "normal" precision rifle, at 50 or 100 yards, this baby is a literal tack driver. I literally put 5 balls through the same hole at 50 yards; and a less than 1" group at 100 yards. I cannot wait for hunting season. Some notes: I swapped out the included 4x20-50 scope for the 6x-24-50 scope i already owned. and I used the excellent Wheeler Scope Mounting Kit to set up the scope along with a laser bore-sighter.. I highly recommend this process for anyone wanting a precision shooting system.

Pros
Excellent power and accuracy..

Cons
The rifle DOES require a high pressure pump of some sort. And added expense unless you already have one. I also recommend the scuba tank setup, otherwise, you'll be shooting no more than 20 shots at a time.

This rifle is well made and hits like a ton of bricks. It has been completey dependable and will be a valued addition to my hunting arsinal next deer season if KY approves the air rifle season for 2017. The only issue I have had, and this is a picky point, is the tank cover tore while hanging in my rack.

Pros
Accurate and dependable.

Cons
Tank cover appears to have dry rotted and torn.

I just got my Texan 45 cal and its much stronger then i could imagine. it did not take but a min to sight in at 30 yards .I am putting the 143 round balls in the same hole every time. i have not had a chance to use it at 50 yards yet but tomorrow i will test that and 75 yards as well. at this time i just cant get over how strong this thing is ..i used some 200 g swc and they are off the chain . they kick a little more then the round balls but it will do any hog or deer in without any questions.. if your looking to buy a pcp airgun for hogs and deer then buy this rifle .. like i said its off the chain .

Cons
every one was saying the 143 round balls is for planking.. This rifle puts them round balls out there like you would not believe..Buy this rifle its the Best out there

So we bought this a week or so ago, and finally took it to the range. I brought a couple of potential skeptics along with me, who were definitely converted by the time we left. This is the rifle we have been dreaming of. I am so glad I waited. I was just about to pony up for a custom big bore, but in the last hour was turned by the amazing 3000 PSI pressure to power ratio. I as most have a bloddy fortune tied up in the tanks and fill accessories to charge my existing 3000 PSI lead slingers. So when I saw that a rifle existed that could give this kind of power with 3000 PSI I knew this was the one for me. I just knew if I bought a 4500 PSI rifle I would wind up spending more than the cost of the rifle on the 4500 PSI accesories. At the range this thing was a dream to shoot. The thing is though that with power comes responsibility, and noise! To tell you the truth I find the authoritative bang rather fun. No one at the range doubted this could take an Elk :-)

Pros
Great technical breakthrough for Power vs Pressure. Accurate. Show stopping looks for the tecnologicaly inclined shooter. The four star rating was all about the skeleton manual and lack of detailed information, or online tutorials, not about the rifle itself. This thing rocks! I hope I can come back and upgrade that once some detailed information is released on tuning, and a recommended wieght for the factory setting.

Cons
When you get the rifle you only get the most bare bones of a manual. And only the vaguest clue of how to tune the rifle to bullet weight. And not even a hint for what weight of slug it comes from the factory roughly matched to. Most everything worth knowing about the thing must be gleaned from hours of reading web post. So far I have only been able to acquire one box of slugs for it. But nothing in the more accurate lighter weight class that it appears is the paper puncher of choice when shooting at targets. I am guessing that it must be tuned with a Chrono. If there is any other way to even come close, it gives not a clue. Well it does not even give a clue with a chrono :-) Also I understand the thinking behind not putting any numbers on the tuning wheel, so folks will not get improper preconceived notions of what to set it at. But they seem to have forgotten that once you spend hours and hours of time, and considerable money working out different settings for different slugs. How are you to get back to that setting? I guess the first thing I will have to do is engrave my own numbers, so I can get back to the settings for each weight pellet. I did not see that one coming. Now I know this all sounds a bit negative. But cons aside I really love this thing. And would still definitely buy it with all I know now. We can only hope for some future manufacturer videos for the technical points I guess. I am really looking forward to learning how to match the rifle to the pellets for minimal air waste and accuracy.

Awaiting my newly purchased Texan, with scope & tank combo. I am in the process of getting a compressor and need assistance on all fittings/adapters needed to be fully functional. What fittings/adapters do I need to fill the carbon fiber Air Venturi tank from the compressor hose and what fitting do I need to fill Rifle from the Air venturi tank and compressor? For filling a scuba tank, what fitting/adapters do I need from the compressor hose to fill the scuba tank? What adapter do I need to fill the Air Venturi carbon fiber tank from the scuba tank? Also what fitting do I need to fill Rifle from the Scuba tank? the fitting/adapter sizes would be helpful as well, Thanks in advance, Mark
