The Crow Magnum pellet is designed for those shooters who wanted a heavier hollow point with a gigantic forward expansion cup. A key objective of the new design was to provide exceptional stability, and thus long range accuracy for the higher power adult airguns on the market. A yawning mouth and greater forward weight was included resulting in one of the world's most accurate field pellets. In independent testing, a .177 caliber Crow Magnum pellet recovered from a feral pigeon had nearly doubled in size to .32 caliber when shot at 25 yards! Easily one of the most unique pellets designed. The Crow Magnum was bestowed a Product Award of Merit by American Firearms Industry magazine

Crow-Magnum Hollow Points
March 23, 2012
![]()
An all around decent pellet for shooting targets and small critters. Hollow points does a decent job at initial shockwave.
Pros:Initial shock is pretty good. Velocity is decent for a hollow point pellet Does a pretty good job at knocking down critters Accurate at close rangesCons:Not as accurate at distances over 100ft. as I expected. Wobble is noticeable over 100ft . |

Pellets worked great in Gamo shadow and whisper (very accurate). However I tried them in a Youth Gamo Recon and they are tight fitting and a youth can not use them. Also maybe a little heavy for this smaller gun

Best expansion I have seen in .177
August 14, 2010

Okay , these monsters EXPAND. I fired one into a 5 gallon bucket of water and was amazed. It was easily .22 in diameter when I retrieved it maybe even .25 . Now if you shoot pellets in the 7-8 grain weight range do not be at all surprised when these shoot as much as 4" lower at 20 yards. So be prepared to zero your rifle all over again if you want to shoot these. Also DO NOT even attempt shooting these in a rifle under 1000 FPS , 1200 FPS would be ideal. It only makes sense "MAGNUM" pellets belong in a "MAGNUM" air rifle , right?

VERY ACCURATE

The name is a little misleading, unless your crows are dumber than mine and let you get within 20 yards of them. I have no doubt that you could fit a crow out at 60 yards because little sucker are very accurate. It seems to me the same awesome expansion that it is designed for makes it fail on the heavy feathered birds. I suggest trying the Kodiak Match, they are the most accurate, hard hitting pellet that I have found.

Working Well with Gamo Shadow
January 28, 2008
![]()
This is my first pellet rifle and amo. The rifle is a Gamo Shadow with 4X32 scope. I'm using this rifle with the Beeman Crow-Magnum to control the local squirrel population in my backyard. Tho I don't have 1rst hand experience to compare ammo's, my goals are being well achieved with this gun/ammo combo. I have found the ammo to be deadly, and accurate.

Pellet review
November 7, 2007
![]()
I was surprised at the accuracy of this pellet after reading all the great reviews. They don't work so great thru my RWS 34. I get very inconsistent results in accuracy, The price is not so good either, but boy do they expand and transfer energy. I'll stick with the RWS super HP.

The Crow Magnum pellets are very good pellets! I was brought up using pointed pellets as well as flat headed ones but, these hollow points kick ass! I really highly recommend them.

I bought a Gamo varmit hunter and tried to shoot the PBA pellets they say are so great. What a joke! Couldn't hit anything! Went to the Crow Magnums and the critters don't have a chance! Night and day difference.

I am using these in a scoped Gamo Shadow. I get very predictable results with this ammo. Pellet seems to go where I've placed it. Hard to complain, and works great with my rifle. Woe to the varmint that raids my bird feeding complex!
