This is the gun you want! (.25 cal)

I guess you get what you pay for with a $500 gun. This thing is simply amazing! I've never shot a more accurate pellet gun in my life. The .25 will end any varmint eating your crops. Bought 2 extra mags which lets me know when I need to fill the high pressure air (hpa). The weaver kaspa 3-12x44mm topped it off good. The pressure gauge took a dump on me right away, but I got a paintball gauge which was the same size and available locally. Overall a great gun!
Pros:Accurate, light, smooth trigger, 8 pellets in a magazine, well made!Cons:Pressure gauge is junk |

Powerful and accurate. This is my first PCP rifle and now I will never go back to springers or multi-pump pneumatics. I may even consider buying this in a .177 or .22 for plinking.
Pros:Powerful. Accurate. Very quiet.Cons:bolt is a tad hard to pull back. not many shots per fill (24 at stock power level) |

Quiet Power!
January 12, 2013
![]()
I ordered this air rifle with the expectation it "may" be as quiet as the Air Arms S410E fac I used to own. Was I ever wrong. This rifle not only beats the AA S410 in the "quiet" department, it completely blows it away in the power department as well!! Although the AA was in .22 and this rifle is in .25, the difference in power is obvious. Right out of the gate, I'm getting 807 FPS with 31 grain Beeman pellets. That's almost 45 ft lbs on energy for small game (possibly even the coyote I'm stalking).
If you purchase this airgun, please make sure of your backstop as it has more power than you may expect. Now for a warmer day so I can sight it in better and take some accuracy readings. Thanks for the advice Airgun Depot!
Pros:Power, build, quality, and price.Cons:Nothing yet. |

I have raved about this rifle since I first shot it at the SHOT Show this past winter. The quiet power and screaming accuracy tickled every part of my gun-loving soul, and I couldn't wait to sit down with one on my own time where I could really put it through the paces.
Pros:I love the wood and high quality.Cons:Nothing |

U gotta get one!

This air rifle is AWESOME! You could ask a few red squirrels who made the mistake of trying to run for cover while we were plinking . . They had wiped out a nest of chickadees, so they paid the price! 46 yds to the base of the tree; 52 feet up. Range unknown - took 5 shots to dial in, but then 3 out of 4 shots were hits, including one which was peeking out of a hollow! Those would have been challenging with a rimfire. Lack of noise kept them hanging around until i got dialed in.
Haven't shot serious groups with it - just a few for sighting in fired while sitting in a lawn chair. At 50 yards less than half inch - I expect more from a bench and wind flags!
Pros:Accurate, multi fuelCons:A bit heavy. |

Benjamin Marauder .25
July 14, 2012
![]()
I have been holding off on buying a PCP air rifle for some time now. When I saw the Benjamin marauder was in .25 cal. I went for it. I have been shooting all sorts of air rifles for 40 plus years now and have never seen anything so accurate to date. Quality and finish is top notch for an under $500 airgun. And to think they are made in the USA and still cost in the $500 range, let alone made in NY state. I got the Benjamin air pump with it and let me tell you don't let it fall below 2000 PSI or the refilling is a workout, time to buy an air tank and use the pump as a backup. I have tried all sorts of pellets and all sorts of grain weights in the Marauder with mixed results. Mine likes heavier pellets with the gun set to factory settings. I fooled with the air settings only to return to factory settings as that is were the gun really shines. It is the most accurate/repeatable from 2800 PSI to 2000 PSI. The most accurate pellets are a toss up between the 27.8 grain Benjamin dome and the 31.02 grain H&N Baracuda round nose pellets. I have tried H&N 20.06 grain field target trophy pellets but they are to lite for the settings on my rifle. Once the PSI is down to 2800 100+ yard shots on a still night can be kept in the 1.5" range with ease. 20 yard is true one hole and at 65 yards I can hold better than 3/4" groups providing the air is still. I see were folks try to modify the Marauder in all sorts of ways, why is beyond me as Benjamin got this one rite on from the trigger to the barrel being choked on the .25. If I could change anything it would be to have a larger air tube for more shots and be just a tad lighter, other than that it is spot on. If you plan on using a pellet trap buy one made for a .22lr as this thing will make short work of a standard metal trap. I use a old archery bag target as a backstop because it catches the pellets well and holds up for a long time.
Pros:Quiet, accurate, quality and looksCons:heavy |

Tack driver. Shoots Benjamin domes .500" c-c 30 meters. Crony tesed at 795 fps with 39 foot pounds of energy! My ballistics testing showed this rifle can take out small game at 100 yards that most box store bought .177 springers COULD NOT at only 10 yards! Now that's power.
Get some.

Benjamin Marauder .25 cal

I bought this beast at AirGun Depot about 6 months ago and I am VERY pleased! This is nothing like the airguns we had when we were kids. The fit and finish, weight and feel is remaniscent of a 30.06 hunting rifle and it is pinpoint accurate. And talk about power! You know those tin bucket candles for outdoor use to keep mosquitos away from your picnic? ... 2 quarts of solid wax in a metal bucket? This thing put a 31 grain round nose pellet THROUGH the thing at 30 yards! NO DROP! I'm sure this thing has a tumble range, but I haven't hit it yet. Everything I shoot, it hits dead on. I've been shooting for over 35 years and I've never seen anything like this. And it is QUIET. The firing mechanism makes more noise than the report when you fire it. In short, I am amazed.

Answer:
It can be pumped up with the hand pump, but it does take a long time pumping. A lot of customer say they only use the scuba tank because it is to hard for them. But once you have it pumped you will have several shots before needing to repump it.By Tom from Zacatecas, MX on February 21, 2012

Answer:
This rifle does not come with a pump though you can get one for it. Most people report they prefer the scuba refill as it is easier on the arms.By Peter from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 1, 2012
