This Walther P99 S blank firing gun is a pistol just like the real firearm, except that it can not fire live rounds, it fires blank cartridges. The P99 S blank firing pistol is a double- or single-action semi-automatic pistol that functions in every way as the P99 firearm. The P99S fires 9 mm PAK blank cartridges. The magazine accepts 15-rounds and the slide cycles and casings eject just like the P99 pistol. The barrel is permanently plugged and the hot gases from a fired cartridge escape out of a vent in the top of the pistol. The P99 S by Walther is great pistol to use in practice for holstering and firing or as a dog training gun or collector gun. It can also be used in theatrics and is a great way for new shooters to get accustomed to gun handling and the sound of firing ammunition.

P99 Blank firing gun
June 13, 2009
This gun is very far off from the original. Starting with the rear of the slide. On a real P99, there is a firing pin indicator, on this there is not. the double action trigger pull is horrendously heavy. A lot of the parts aren't affixed to the gun very well. The rear dust cover and rear sight just slide on and off with no tools, which may be good for some people but I find it a bit lazy on the manufacturer's part. 2 months after getting the gun, the firing mechanism completely broke, and the decocker just simply fell out of the gun. there is extreme tension on the magazine spring after about 10 rounds and it's very difficult to get more in. The paint on the slide lock wore off almost completely after about a week of use. Other than that, the gun fuctioned fairly well when it worked, rarely jammed or misfired. I would not recommend getting this gun unless you don't care about anything I have previously mentioned.
