Sweet scope for the money

By Ben from Charlotte, NC on January 25, 2012
Scope is pretty nice. Opened it up, and realized it wouldn`t fit my base mount off of my previous scope on my Gamo Varmint Hunter HP (and yes its the insane-ly fast one) but just took the old rings off the factory scope and replaced it. Worked like a charm. Took it out to the backyard, and after about 10 shots had it close to dialed in at 25 yards. Put 5 RWS Superdomes in about a half inch hole from where I was shooting. Just took some time to figure it out, Mil dots are new to me. Put up a coke can at 60 yds and used the mil dots to knock it down. Pretty sweet once you get used to it. So far no complaints about shooting it with a big heavy magnum spring gun, but I`ve only put 50 or so rounds through it so hope all goes well. The added accessories and gadgets are pretty cool. Took the old flashlight/laser combo off the previous varmint hunter factory scope and was able to mount it on this scope too. The scope caps get a little in the way, but still works fine.
Great scope for the money
Hope this helps!
Pros:
-Affordability-Mil dots
-1" tube
-Accessories
-Solid shooting

CP 4-16X40AO

By gabe from AL Gulf coast on December 25, 2011
I recently purchased a Ruger Mag air rifle from AGD (refurb'd, which is the only way to go as all there refurbs look new) which came with a 4X32 scope. The scope was ok, but not up to the performance potential of this air rifle. My daughter bought this scope for me at Wally World for $75. This scope changed everything that was performance oriented pertinent to this air rifle. Beautiful piece of engineering for such a low price. Focus adjustment works great, AO adjustment is a revelation in air rifle shooting. Tough as nails. It mounts easily on a picatinny rail and stays put even with such a powerful springer. You may find the AO and Focus adjustments a little stubborn to turn at first, but be patient, they loosen up a bit and become user friendly with use. At $59 bucks, if you need a scope, don't pass this up. I recently purchased a Hammerli X2 refurb'd rifle from AGD and I hope they still have this deal after the holidays as I intend to scope all 3 of my air rifles with this scope. STICK WITH SUCCESS!Pros:
Quality and price. Weaver rings.Cons:
Nadathing.I would recommend this item to a friend.
