The 760 Pumpmaster is what all the other multi-pump pneumatics want to be! A proven Crosman favorite for four decades, this dependable rifle offers an experience all its own. Over 10 million have been sold! Doubles as a BB repeater or a single shot pellet gun.
At less than 3 lbs., it's a great starter air rifle. The stock and forearm are made of a durable synthetic that takes lots of use and still looks good. An economical rifle, the Pumpmaster takes up to 10 pumps to send BBs 625 fps and pellets 600 fps. The checkering on the grip and the indentations on the pump handle make it that much easier to get a grip and stay on target.
Ideal for shooting very small rodents (at close range), plinking and target shooting. (Never shoot BBs at metal objects!) It's so light that you can shoot all day! Suitable for younger shooters (with adult supervision) and smaller adults.
Pellets are loaded into a 5-shot clip, while BBs have an 18-shot magazine, which is fed from the 200-shot reservoir. It comes with a fiber optic front sight, but you can get even more accuracy by mounting a scope or red dot on the 11mm dovetail.

I have had this gun for 10 years and it has shot the same as when I got it. I dont have a scope on it, and I think as long as you take care of the gun these sights should never break off. I realy like the multi pump. I can just give it one pump and shot the cats in my yard ( with one pump it shoots about as hard as you can through a BB). or I can pump it 10 times to shoot through a tin can. The lever action also maks it nice to be able to shoot pellets if you want. I have put around 5,000 rounds through the gun in 10 years, and never once have I had it jam. The one complant I would have is were you mount the scope has a cut out so you can see how many bb's are left in the top part for the lever action. So if you tighten the scope down too much you cant get the bbs up there. I did find if you tighten the mount for the scope in front of the bolt action as tight as possible and leave the back one just finger tight, it works ok but will move if you bump it slightly. But to me this gun is more of a plinker, so it does not need a scope. At 100 feet I can hit a soup can all day long.
Pros:10 stage variable volocity Very light very accurate at ten pumps (for a bb gun) very little recoil great for starters that as they get used to the gun can pump it harder |

This is my second rifle like this. I let my neighbor borrow, cough cough, my first one and this is my replacement. I like the new magazine for the pellets. It will kill if aimed properly, so always supervise children.
Pros:Price and accuracy.Cons:Nada |

BBs a no no...

Had great experience as a kid with this gun. Decided to pick one up as an adult to fix a ground squirrel issue and the experience has not been the same. As a kid, the gun gave 'one shot - one kill' ability to anyone who picked it up. Now, I was missing everything. Did some target shooting and found that the gun was throwing BBs down and to the left about an inch and a half at about 20 ft. Pellets grouped better, but I was still getting one every so often that would stray out of the grouping. Also, had the front sight spin around the barrel on me recently. Perhaps a scope would help!
The knock down power of the gun is also lacking. Hit a ground squirrel in the face with a pellet from 10 yards and it simply stunned the critter.
Pros:Light. Easy to pump. BBs / Pellet compatibility.Cons:Accuracy. Lack of knockdown power for pests. |

My friend has this and i shoot it sometimes.
i gave it a three because.
first the pump is not to great its kind of small witch makes it harder.
it is easy to load witch i like.
Possible to add a scope but the sites are fine on this gun.
Better for a younger person maybe a beginner that does not have much experience Size is better for a beginner.

This is a great deal on a reliable backyard plinker. I have observed a lot fewer cats in my yard. Even my eight year old grandson loves using it and at the price that I paid, I am not worried about him breaking it. I'll just get another.

Affordability is great. A practical air gun that could be used for everything from plinking to bagging small game in a survival situation. The 760 FPS is a bit low by most standards, wish there was a similar model (cost/simplicity) that shot around 1000fps

I love the rifle, it loads fast and is nice to handel. The only shortcoming is that there is no windage adjustment on the sights.

Answer:
Only give the rifle 4-6 pumps and it won't harm the squirrels.By ed finnell from port orange, fl on July 14, 2012

Answer:
Refurbished is when a company such as crosman takes the products that were returned as defective or didn't meet testing standards. They go through them thoroughly replacing parts as needed and make them fully functional and like new. They are then offered to the consumer at a fraction of the cost of a "new" item.As you can see from this example, it's offered at a little less than 50% of the cost of a new item.
I personally have never had an issue with refurbished stock.
