Suggested Use: Plinking / Fun
The 1911 is the most popular firearm model ever made. This version in Crosman's stable of 1911 clones is the most realistic, with metal construction and realistic blowback that'll help you practice without feeling like you're using a BB gun

not the pistol shown in the advertisement
August 22, 2013
This pistol is the worst airgun design I have ever owned. It is nothing like a real 1911. It is, a reworked call to duty air soft pistol that crosman could not sell in 6mm. cal. So they changed the inner barrel to 4.5 mm. and marketed it as a BB pistol. Double action trigger with a very hard pull , thin trigger blade that hurts the trigger finger after three mags, highly inaccurate 2.5 in. barrel combined with trigger pull and this pistol struggles to make a 5 in. group at 7 yards. Every one who has seen this pistol laughs and complains at the unsightly trigger and the fake safeties
Cons:The whole pistol is untrue and this will probably not get posted until enough people have been taken in by the sales picture that is nothing like the gun itself

1st look At the crosman 1911 GI blowback

I received mine a few days ago. It has black grips which I like better. The metal construction provides a weight just slightly less than my Remington 1911 R1. It is double action and the trigger pull is a little heavy but has a crisp break, really not bad. Mag holds 20 bbs and is easy to load after a few times. The blowback action gives some recoil feedback but the hammer doesn't actually cock. The left side safety is non functional and is moulded into the frame as in the off position. The grip safety is also non functional but moves and feels just like a real 1911. The functioning safety is on the right side, press and slide forward to fire and back for safe. I do believe that it shoots its claimed 450 fps and I got 120 shots with the first CO2 cylinder. This pistol has the look and feel of the real deal. However it cannot be field stripped like the real 1911. It is fun to shoot and seems to be very accurate. Original 1911 grips won't fit this one but the black grips that came on mine look good. The left grip pops off to change the power let one there's a tool stored in the grip to make it easy.
