My First (Real) Airgun
November 15, 2014
I purchased this rifle five months ago and absolutely love shooting it. My wife was complaining about rabbits in her gardens - what a great opportunity! I read everything I could find on this site and a few others and felt that I didn't want to spend a fortune for a first rifle. I thought I wanted a .22 rather than a .177 in case I did actually want to use the gun for hunting. I've yet to shoot at anything other than cans and targets, but the .22 pellets deliver quite a punch. Before buying a rifle, I signed up for the emails here and checked on the sale items. When I narrowed it down to a few rifles, I sent an email asking questions and then I called for more help. The guys here were really helpful telling me which guns were known to have problems and which were reliable. I'm sold on Airgun Depot, I've had nothing but positive experiences. When deciding on .22 over .177, I was basing it on reducing the rabbit population. The pellets are a little more expensive (barely), but I've found they are so much easier to handle than the tiny .177 pellets, especially when it's chilly out and my hands are cold. I've never seen anyone mention that in any reviews. When I bought the gun, I purchased a whole bunch of different pellets, but I've been practicing using the Crosman Ultra Magnums. I'm not sure I'm even through the break-in period, or if it even has one, but I've been able to consistently hit a 1"x1.5" Prevacid bottle at 50 feet standing up shooting free hand. I'm having a blast.
Pros:
Great starter gun .22 are easier to handle than .177 lots of power scope is more than adequate
Cons:
Trigger - primary pull is long, secondary is very sensitive

Great Rifle For The Money
September 17, 2014
Bought this rifle 6 weeks ago for 150.00 and so far very pleased with the performance . Accurate lighter weight than most break barrels. I had mine sighted in less than 15 rounds still holding zero. This rifles action is a tight fit in the fury/phantom stock so i would recommend taking a dremel tool and making more clearance for the barrel to move freely , it rubs on the stock taking the bluing with it , also if you don't care for the trigger there are upgrades available for under 34 dollars. All in all a great value for the money , nice usable scope way better than most , I'm glad i got mine before they sold out. I put some motor oil on the ram, now it is way smooth and doesn't rub anywhere.
Pros:
Lighter weight than most any break barrels out there, accurate , easy to sight in (at least mine was),nice scope well matched to this rifle, plastic stock no worries about scratches and all weather.
Cons:
Some may not like the stock or the trigger but those are small things can be fixed or changed.Out the box the stock has sharp edges on it take some 320 grit sandpaper and knock those down, mine is smooth now.

Great shooter for the price.
September 6, 2014
I have had this rifle for 6 months now and have fired several hundred pellets through it. The scope is holding center and the accuracy is right on. I shoot sitting at a table just hand holding the gun. It might do even better if I used a gun rest but I'd rather test my ability hand holding it. We all know it doesn't have the best trigger by any means but it works fine when adjusted correctly. I adjusted it to have long play before it fires. It stops travel and I know then that it is ready for a gentle squeeze to fire.. I found that best for me. Once the gun is out of warranty I will install a better trigger. Spend the extra $10 for the firing test before it leaves Airgun Depot. Perhaps that is why mine is performing so well. I'm not trying to hit a nickle at 50 yards. Let's be real. But in my 30 yard deep yard I can hit just about anything. I've shot bottle caps off of plastic bottles and very seldom miss targets bigger than that. I love this gun.
Pros:
Easy to cock. Quiet. Little recoil. Perfect weight. Very decent scope. Extremely accurate to 30 yards. Absolutely destroys cans and plastic bottles. I don't think I'd want to take a hit from this gun. Very powerful. After driving myself crazy comparing rifles I am totally sure I made the right decision for the price.
Cons:
OK the trigger but not that bad. Not crazy about the stock but bought the gun for it's performance and have gotten use to the stock.

Gun for the experienced.
August 10, 2014
I waited a while before posting to give this gun a fair chance. I put over 500 shots through it and it still wouldn't settle in. I thought maybe the scope was bad but tried it on a rifle I knew was good and it was fine. I decided to take it apart and that's when I found the hole in the end of the gas cylinder was not circular. It basically had a bur or just missed material when drilled out. I filled it down with a diamond dust file and now it can hold half dollar size groups. It could get better over time but seems pretty firm where it is. The quality is lacking and I usually don't expect too much from synthetic rifles but this one feels pretty cheap and not balanced at all. Still for a plinker its not bad now and I got it on sale so all in all not a bad purchase.
Pros:
Cheap, nitro piston
Cons:
Quality not close to what it should be

nice value
July 1, 2014
First new airgun in years. This .22 shoots hard and straight. Not too loud. cocking effort more difficult than I expected, but not too bad. Scope is good, although I cannot seem to get it zeroed exactly, shoots too far to the right and I've clicked the max on the turret. Oh, well, just adjust my aim and I'm still getting quarter sized groups. Takes down squirrels pretty well, second shot not always necessary.
Pros:
good ergonomics nice scope good fit and finish made in USA
Cons:
some difficulty getting it zeroed in. loud at first, but it has settled.

not what I expected
June 12, 2014
I was hoping this NP gun would be as quiet as some claims. After a couple months and a thousand pellets it is still loud. I also will never get another gun without open sites. The scope provided and open reflex I tried lose their true after a few doz shots. Waste of money. I don't care about punching holes in paper accurately when I have many pest to deal with in barn and garden. I guess I've been spoiled by a Ruger magnum .22 pellet rifle that is stronger and has good open sites. It is louder than NP but twice as good for same money.I bought this to have it ready by different door to grab when I spot sq. and rabbits. I will try to sell this NP-limited.
Pros:
Decent power. Scope is good if you can hold true.
Cons:
Louder than hoped for. Disappointed at overall package.

Good economical air rifle
June 9, 2014
My first nitro piston air rifle. I am impressed with with the power. After around 100 pellets the gun or I started shooting very accurate. Now I can place pellets in a nickel size area at 25 yards.
Pros:
Good price shoots straight
Cons:
None

Limited use because of scope.
May 23, 2014
Gun works well and seems to have plenty of power, only have shot it for two weeks and had to return the scope because the cross-hairs were rotating inside. Hope it doesn't take all summer to get it back and continue shooting targets and starlings.
Pros:
Easy single pump and fairly accurate to about thirty yards, have shoot to fifty yards with and still had pretty good penetration.
Cons:
Biggest problem has been the scope, hard to fine tune, adjustments don't always move until after several shots.

good gun
May 18, 2014
been shooting it the past 2 days and its pretty stiff to cock out of the box. fun to shoot and pretty accurate, I was hitting bottles at 30 yards.
Pros:
nice looking comes with a good scope + adjustable trigger. better then most guns in this price range.
Cons:
took awhile to break in and mine still takes some effort to cock which gets annoying. maybe I still need to break it in, who knows. also the trigger should be adjusted once you get it, stock has a long trigger distance.

Great gun, very powerful
April 4, 2014
I bought two of these, one for me and one for a guy I shoot with. Both weapons functioned perfectly and I cannot believe the power. I shot the head of a bowling pin at 50 yards with Crosman 14.3gr hollow point pellets and it penetrated between 1/8 and 1/4 of an inch. The scope was good, not the best, but good enough to make consistent shots at 50 yards. Cocking is a breeze, especially compared to my nps77. The trigger, which has always been Crosman's downfall, was adjusted just right out of the box but still has just a little creep before it breaks. That has improved with use as I have fired just over 200 rounds currently. I still need to play around with different pellets to get the best accuracy, but I am getting dime sized groups at 35 yards with the Crosman pellets. I am going to try JSB exact jumbo heavy's next, which according to current reviews is the most accurate out of this gun.
Pros:
Light weight, powerful, accurate, and quiet. Especially for the price, this is an excellent weapon. If I had one of these when I was a kid the squirrel population in Missouri would be greatly reduced.
Cons:
The only con I could find is when shooting from a bench the trigger feels too far forward. I have a disabled shooting hand and after 50 shots or so I feel the tension in my hand from reaching forward for the trigger. Again, this may just be because of my handicap. I am going to try a different stock, possibly a Trail or Titan stock, and see it that improves the reach.

Pretty awesome little gun.
March 14, 2014
I got this for my son because he wanted something a little bigger than his Benji NP .177, I got it on a special. When arrived I bore sighted it using a centerpoint laser, Cleaned the barrel, at 25 yards he was a 1/2" off. Shot 2 more times as I adjusted windage and elevation, sent the next 10 pellets through same hole. He was using a bean bag to prop on. I just ordered me one for myself, at this price, just get it, along with a few thousand pellets, it is that much fun! The .25 may stay put up for a while.
Pros:
Cheap Accurate Well Made Good enough scope for this gun.
Cons:

I like this gun
February 23, 2014
I was very impressed with this gun, I shot 25 pellets through it and then sighted in at 30 yards. With three different pellets, I put two of each in the bulls-eye from a rest. A little stiff at first but got use to it real fast. Very quiet also. Also shipping was on time and very well packaged
Pros:
It hits hard and is very accurate.
Cons:

Can't believe how quite this gun is. The only noise is the pellet striking the target. Extremely nice looking gun. Easy to shoot and great scope. Rare find for a combo at this price. I love it.
Pros:
Simple operation, low to no maintenance. Very nice out of the box. Amazingly quite!
Cons:
Have to sight in your own scope......but isn't that the fun part

Within fifty shots this rifle had settled down to shoot groups I could cover with a nickel. The scope that came with it is good. I really like the mount with it's built in stop. Fit and finish is good except on the cap at the butt end of the barrel. With the discount on this nitro gas gun you can't go wrong.
