Pretty good

I had mine for two years and it was very good. Great power and accuracy. Good for killing birds. After that it just did not shoot. When I cocked it, it took very little effort, and then it barely shot. It was good while it lasted, but if I would probably not get the refurb.
Pros:Accuracy PowerCons:broke after two years |

I got mine a couple of months ago and was amazed at how well it shoots. The range and power are great, not to mention it's very simple to use.
Pros:Range power, spot on target shooting.Cons:I live in a place that I can't use it as often as I like to. |

I am on here because I am buying my 2nd quest. My step daughter knocked mine down a flight of stairs, it was a sad day. With it I eliminated over 60+ ground squirrels, 10+ regular ones, 3 groundhogs, and 4 raccoons. It had a heavy trigger pull but I tighten the heck out of the scope rings, and now I don't have a problem.
Pros:Accurate, dependable, and affordable. |

Just a great Air Gun
September 24, 2012
![]()
I just moved into a new neighborhood with a nice back yard where there is plenty of room for plinking around or shooting small game. After the initial set up, it shoots very well. The scope took about 20 rounds to site in. I was shocked when I went to change out the target and saw that the rounds had went clean through an old piece of 1inch lumber. I can now tell you it will go through 2 inches of wood from 30 - 40 yards. Open sights are spot on as well. It did shoot too far to the left out of the box. The initial cock is pretty stiff, I smacked it with a rubber hammer and ever since it takes a tap with the hand. I'm sure with time it will wear in.
Pros:Ease of use Good for plinking Looks great Very good power |

If your looking for a rifle to shoot garden pests, something that will last you years, and you don't mind a heavy trigger, you got the gun. Forget about using the scope, go with the open sights. The trigger makes it difficult to scope. Power wise about 12 to 14 foot pounds grave digger for bunnies at about 20 to 25 yards better if closer. Mine has gone through the grand kid test they shoot it forever no maintainance just ploughing it down. Good wood and metal.
Pros:Dependable .Cons:Heavy trigger pull. |

Inexpensive but heavy option

I bought this air rifle for my wife to shoot squirrels that continue to dig up her flowers. She has had the gun for 2 weeks and her first reaction "is it is too heavy for a female shooter". I Have not decided whether to look for lighter option.
Pros:Performs wellCons:Too heavy for female or younger children. |

June 1, 2011
![]()
this gun is awesome the accuracy is so good that I actually shot the string right off of one of my targets from 80 ft away 2 times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The strength of the gun is just as amazing as the accuracy when I shot plywood from about 95 ft away it blew right through it leaving a clean entrance hole and the exit hole was practically wood chips
there is one minor bad thing and that is the weight but after a while you should get used to it
I recommend this gun for hunting small game and pest control as well as target shooting etc.

the crosman quest 1000x storm is an amazing pellet gun. its my first rifle and i cant stop shooting it! its heavier than alot of other guns but i think that helps with keeping it steady. my friend has a lighter pellet rifle and i think its harder to keep that one steady. plus, mine is much more powerful even wen he is shooting with heavier pellets. this gun is pretty accurate and has a very real feel to it. ull really enjoy this gun if u nuy it. great for shooting squirrels and birds nd also target shooting. my dad hit the bullseye on his first try from about 70 feet out!!!

I purchased my Win 1000 about 7 years ago. It was a powerful gun then and still retains a good bit of power now. I have shot more than 10,000 times on this rifle. The scope that comes with it is a 35.00 dollar scope and that is what you get. Ive since put a Ncstar scope on it, ive plugged several rats, squirells and stray dogs. It seems seven years later it may take two shots to knock a tree rat down. It does good on stray dogs, one shot in the rump and they keep on going. I think the recoil is greater than that of my 1960 sears .22. I will buy another one when this one wears out.

I have had this gun for 1 years and even after shooting well over 500 rounds it is not overly dependable - sometimes it groups shots well and others I get a spread of several inches at 20 yds. I noticed early on that the rear site was terribly mounted at the factory (so much so the whole assembly wobbled) so be sure to check everything. The claims to the gun's power seem to be true.
One other thing: squirrels are often pests but why would anyone want their kid shooting robins?

If you have never used a very powerful pellet rifle, like this, then-it's so fast that when you shoot a water bottle, it doesn't even move. The wood is very high quality, and the gun is solid feeling. It was surprisingly accurate, and my only complaint is that it is almost to heavy.

this is a great gun i got mine at k-mart for $30 with a broken stock. i sent it back to crosman and they fixed it for free and even sent me some free pellets and targets.
okay if your buying this just be aware it will take about 200 shots to break it in.also the scope it comes with is a piece of crap. to solve this problem i went to my local walmart and bought a powerline 3-9x32 scope for about 28 dollars. it was very easy for me to sight in and even though i am a very expeirenced shooter i am only just turning 12. now that it is sighted in i am consistently hitting 1x1(inches) blocks of wood at 20 yards. i have found it to get the best results with crosman premier pellets. (if you are new to pellet guns you may want to buy heavy pellets because they will go slower but will be more accurate and go farther.)
HOPE THIS HELPS and be paitent, shoot it 250 times before giving up

I have had this gun for over a year now and have easily put over 20,000 rounds through it if not more, it still shoots great. once you get the scope that it comes with sighted in it is dead on for me anyway. I can hit a nickle from 70 yards consistantly and it still leavs a dent. I can hit a clay pigeon on the ground from 120 yards 7 times out of ten. I like the mill dot type scope once you shoot a couple of times from far away you can put the mill dot right where you want it to hit. and the windage mill dots are accurate out to 70 yards with 20 mile per hour winds. I have killed probably 20 squirrels with it and only 1 got away, and only three took over 1 shot. even if u shoot them in the chest it goes almost all the may through, i even hit one in the gut on accident and it died within ten seconds. I have shot multiple crows out of the same tree from 70 yards only taking 1 shot each. and its not even fair to use this gun on rabbits if you hit them anywhere in the body they die. I once hit a rabbit running from 70 yards while running and it died instantly sry this was soooo long

nice price for a decent gun
November 10, 2008
![]()
this is the first break barrel i've owned or fired, I think its an awesome starter gun, but even after shooting 400 shots it still doesn't group under an inch at 20 yards, i did notice i had to crank the open sights almost all the way to the left to get it shooting mostly straight, and while it is plastic(front and rear fiber optics)i don't think i'd be careless enough to let it get torn or ripped off.
it comes with a decent scope, i had to slather thread locker on all the screws( again this is my first break barrel, and first pellet gun since high school) after about 250 shots ( using crosman field point) i can hit anything within 15 yards, but any farther and it loses accuracy, and it was a pain getting it even close to where i wanted to hit.
but, its remanufactured so its cheap, it is really powerful, and until you decide you want a gun that will get 1 hole with multiple shots, i'd say the (remanufactured) crosman quest 1000x strom is an excellent buy, just be patient letting it break in,and then sighting it in.
oh, yeah, this was my first purchase through airgundepot.com and was very happy with the outcome. it only took 8 days to get it to alaska via ups ground, it was packed nicely, no damage at all and they seem to have the best prices around, i'm going to stick with this company for future purchases

Accurate with right ammo
October 14, 2008
![]()
This rifle has perfect accuracy with the right ammo (6 types used) The only drawback is the sonic boom, even when using pellets over 10 grains. The scope zeroing is a bit tedious, but the results will be pleasing. It feels like a well balanced and hefty gun. Small game animals and birds are an easy capture. I'd buy another when the time comes for a replacement.

As a South African, we donot have chipmunks, and the squirrels are a protected species.I have found that the Crosman quest compares very well to my .22 rimfire using sub-sonic hollow points, and both these weapons can be used to hunt any small game, but the range is limited to below 80 meters. A noise reducer (silencer) would help, as this air rifle is quiet loud.
By Peanutter from North Central Texas on January 8, 2012
Answer:
yes. I just got mine yesterday and love it! Great groups, nice scope, and groups keep getting tighter. I own several center and rimfire rifles and hunt deer, dove, pheasant, and squirel. I ordered this for backyard shooting fun- For 79.90 it's the best deal on the internet hands down. I cannot justify parting with 120 plus for an air gun because I'd have to get another .22 or .17 hmr if I was going to spend any more money. If you're wanting to shoot squirel's and Chipmunks, here's a good tool for it. I love to grill or pan fry the squirrel hind legs (not enough meat on the front to fool with) with some butter, pepper, and garlic .By Lloyd from Holly Ridge, NC on April 27, 2012

Great pellet rifle. When we received the gun my son and I went outside and sighted in the scope at 75ft. The target we were using was one inch thick wood. The pointed pellets we were using easily went through and through and were hitting trees another 150 yards behind the target. First time out my son shot and killed his first squirrel with one shot. Since then he has killed a squirrel with one shot every time he has hit it. The scope that came with it was very nice as well. The scope came almost perfectly sighted, only had one click right and one up to make it perfect. My son loves it and all his buddies are jealous.By CARLES from HAZEN ARKANSAS on February 28, 2012
