Good gun that doesn't hurt the wallet...
August 24, 2012
I bought this gun from a sporting goods store and it came with a crooked barrel, however it was still very accurate and powerful. The fiber optic sight are a nice addition since the scope was too hard to put on. The stock doesn't look good to me, a black synthetic stock would have been nice. The cheek rest and butstock could be softer. But all in all I like the overall feel of the gun and it has a nice heft to it.
Pros:
Fiber optic sights Heavy Accurate Powerful not too hard to cock Great value
Cons:
Stock looks cheeseball

Great air rifle after break in
July 11, 2012
I purchased this air rifle to deal with pests and rodents on the property. I was very impressed with the power from the first shot. The rifle I purchased had an older set of instructions and they did not mention a break in period. So I was very concerned when I first started shooting. The accuracy was horrible! I called Crosman and discussed the problem with them. They informed me that the barrel was Chinese made and there us no quality control during manufacturing. There are a lot of defects in the barrel. I was told to run at least 250 rounds through it and then I should see improvements as lead from the pellets fills the imperfections. Well, I ran close to 500 rounds through it and I will tell you the accuracy seems to improve the more you shoot it. at 30 yards from a stable position I can maintain a 5 shot group (with the occasional flyer) consistently the size of a nickel. I have had success with dispatching a ground squirrel at near 50 yards (sounds impossible I know). Overall I am very pleased with this rifle after the barrel has been seasoned. One thing I'd replace is the scope, it is low quality and will not hold zero, although it will hold for a short time I find I have to re-zero it every few weeks. The trigger is another concern, I modified it to remove the first stage and this eliminated the long pull and reduced the heaviness of it. I plan to get a better trigger for it at some point.
Pros:
Price Power Accuracy (after break in) Customer service from Crosman Receiver fit and finish is good The stock is nice, mine had one visible filled flaw but otherwise is well made
Cons:
Cheap Scope doesn't hold zero Long break in period Cannot use PBA pellets The trigger has a long heavy pull, and adjusting it doesn't help

AWESOME AND AMAZING GUN!!!!!!!
March 16, 2012
I absolutely love this gun!!! This gun is just amazing. At first I was gonna get something more expensive, but something about this gun said "buy me". It was also cheaper than a lot of other models. I got mine right after Christmas. Now you expect a descent gun, but this gun surpassed my expectations! It has tremendous power for the price. You can take out a rabbits, chipmunks, and squirrels easily. This gun is very accurate, you just have to know where to hold it. You might think this is crazy, but there was a raccoon getting into my barn and trying to get to the chicken coupe. Well I decided to go out to the barn one night with my Quest 1000x. This gun in one shot killed the raccoon. I am just amazed at the power of this rifle. This rifle is not a toy, so be smart with it and respect the gun and others!! The scope is okay, but I decided to just go with the fiber optic sights because it makes hunting a better challenge, and makes me a better shooter as well. The weight isn't to bad, but someone who is skinny wouldn't want to haul this thing around for hours. But in my honest opinion, BUY THIS GUN!!! You will save a lot of money and get plenty of power!!
Pros:
Powerful Accurate Nice Stock Well Made Hunting Machine
Cons:
Scope is hard to sight in

AWESOME GUN!!!!!!
March 14, 2012
I bought this gun for small game like rabbit and squirrel. But the power of this gun just absolutely amazed me. For the price you expect something with a little punch, but this has one heck of a punch! It takes rabbits and squirrels out NO PROBLEM!! Now this might sound crazy, but this gun can take out a raccoon. Trust me this gun can take a raccoon out!!! I was very impressed by the power this gun has. The scope is alright, I hunt without the scope, I use the fiber optic sights, I just feel using the fiber optics is more challenging and makes me a better shooter in the long run. I plan on trying to get some groundhogs this summer with the gun. I'll let you know how it goes. But if I was you, I would buy this gun, you will be happy you did!!!
Pros:
Very Accurate Powerful Well Made
Cons:
Scope

Amazing Rifle, Highly Recommended
July 29, 2011
I just received this gun today, all I can say is WOW! The first couple times you cock the gun it is extremely hard, however around the second or third cock it beomes a simple, easy task. The first couple shots you take out of the gun are quite loud and sounds almost like a real firearm. But around the 5th or 6th shot it begins to quiet down. The iron sights are spot on and adjustable. However I prefer to use this gun the the 4x32 scope that the gun comes with. The scope is easy to mount and comes with the correct tool (Allen wrench) to screw the scope on. Zeroing in the scope takes some time, took me about 50 shots because when you first get the gun it can be a little unpredictable but after 50 or so shots it gets broken in and is amazingly accurate. At 25ft I can get a 1/2in grouping right on the bulls eye of my target. Overall I highly recommend this gun, it's great for everyone 12 and up.

Nice Gun...Tough Trigger
October 2, 2009
Bought this gun for my 11 year old son. Let him shoot my RWS 48, but got tired of sharing all the time. Wanted to get him a descent gun, but not spend the big bucks until I was sure it wasn't a passing phase. Ordered it about a year ago. Great gun with nice power. Lightweight, which is good for him. Nice beginer gun for plinking. Major complaints are the trigger pull and the scope. The trigger is a suprisingly tough pull, which makes it difficult to stay on target, especially for smaller weaker hands. I just ordered a new trigger from Charlie Da Tuna cause I have heard great things about it corrects this issue. The scope seems very unpredictable. He's all over the place with it and we have adjusted it several times. Finally gave up and took it off and he's having much better luck. All in all it's an ok starter gun to test the waters on a kid, but be prepared to spend an extra $35 for a trigger.

Wow!
June 27, 2009
I must say I'm very impressed with this rifle. I've read some complaints on the finish ,however mine was flawless. When i first got the gun i just took a few shots and thought it was average ...I'd had already started looking for some more expensive. Once i changed the scope and took a little time sighting it in...WOW! Has a slight kick but i found myself taking birds and squirrels at 30yds with one shot. Very accurate and nice power. Highly recommend for pest control. Best bang for the buck!

rabbit slayer
January 3, 2009
I bought this gun from a gun shop. I should have bought it from here because it was 190 at the gunshop. I have already dropped 3 rabbits and countless squirells with this beast. It is dead on accurate and packs a punch that will knock down any small game with one shot. Highly recommend this gun to anyone looking for a backyard slayer.

Fantastic Air Rifle for the Money
December 29, 2008
This gun is well worth the money spent. It is extremely accurate and durable. I do have to complaints. Call me picky, but there is a scratch being worn into the stock of the gun right by where the breach is opened due to the side of the barrell rubbing the inside. Also it seems that the barrel is shimmed to far to the left allowing light to shine through the crack between the barrell and the frame which may be causing the afforementioned problem. Also, the scope kinda sucks. It is extremely difficult to dial in, (sometimes elevation changes windage and vice versa and sometimes the adjustments make the pellet go the opposite direction intended (I sighted it in my basement)) but once dialed in it stays there and I am now getting consistent dime sized groupings at 60 yds! All in all though with all the "problems" mentioned, this gun performs like a $300 or $400 gun. It is solidly constructed, looks very nice, and shoots fantastically accurate. Buy this gun, you will not be dissapointed!

Well worth the money
March 27, 2008
Very happy with this purchase. Own alot of guns for hunting, finally broke down and bought this gun for some practice in the backyard. It's the air rifle I was never allowed to have as a youngster. Shoots extremly well. Was on paper right out of the box at 30 yds. Have a 1 1/2" group with only 50 shots through it. I'm sure with tinkering with the trigger and experamenting with other pellets, I will have 1/2' groups at 30 yds. in no time. Power is not a problem. Goes through a 3/4' piece of pine shelving. Killing game will not be an issue. Only negative, very hard to cock out of the box. Assume it will free up a bit after time. WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

A good gun for money spent
September 4, 2007
awesome gun only shot the gun about 5 times without the scope pretty accurate out of the box scope was easy to mount and fine tune. grouped about 4 pointed crosman pointed pellets 1/2 inch from each other at about 25 yards away at this range it also can go through 4 sheets of drywall and keep going. seems like a higher quality pellet could make a difference in FPS. have only owned for 3 days. feel confident that it would be capable of taking down small game. Will find out soon

Rabbits!
June 30, 2007
This air rifle makes a mess of any pesky varmints up to and including ferrel dogs/cats. Crosman sells it with a decent scope and it is indeed very powerful. I have used the most heavy .177 pellets I can find and am now shooting groups of 1/2 inch at 100 ft.

This gun is more for young teens graduating from the old pumper. The gun is very powerfull and accurate. I even shot a rockchuck at about 20 yds right through his skull and it did kill him. It can also shoot 1in groups at 30yds. Also the cheek rest makes for very comfortable shooting. But you also might want to buy a new scope it has so much paralax and the scope itself is a cheep brand. But the gun is very accurate and powerfull. Shoot safe .

This gun is fabulous. Got it a little over a week ago and am very happy with its punch. Though I have yet to shoot any game yet, I am pretty confident it would lay something down with ease. This thing means business. Highly Recommended.
