Take small game, plink or shoot targets with the Storm XT. This rifle sends .177 pellets screaming out the barrel at 1,000 fps! With only 28 lbs. cocking effort, this lightweight, powerful rifle is ideal for hours of serious shooting.

The hardwood stock on this spring-piston breakbarrel rifle has a Monte Carlo buttstock. Details on this rifle make it obvious that Crosman put a lot of thought into the design of this handsome all-round airgun. The micro adjustable fiber optic rear sight and fiber optic front sight ensure ease in acquiring your targets, even at dusk and dawn. To get the most accuracy from this rifle, mount the included scope on the 11mm dovetails. Don't worry about your mounts sliding off the dovetails; Crosman included a scope stop to support them whenever this powerhouse fires!

The two-stage trigger is adjustable only for take-up (length of the first stage).

Great Power - Accurate - Reliable
November 28, 2013
I made the mistake of thinking 2 sheets of plywood would be enough, but before I realized it, after placing several shots through the same hole at 20 yards , I'd blasted through both sheets and put a hole in the steel siding of my shop. I replaced the original scope with a significantly better one and learned that spring loaded air rifles should be held loosely which greatly increases accuracy. I keep the English Starling population under control by shooting them off of the suit feeders I put out to feed the native birds. Over the past 3 years with my trusty Crosman Storm XT, Bushnell Banner scope, and standard Crosman .177 cal. pointed pellets, I've dispatched with well over a thousand of them at 20 yards with about a 90% success rate. I think this is an excellent air rifle, especially when considering the modest price.
Pros:
Accurate, and after firing well over 2500 rounds through it. it's still working fine. Seems to be maintaining power, and has required minimal maintenance. Easy to load provided your not a kid or my petite wife. It's relatively quiet after the first 100 rounds.
Cons:
The original scope wouldn't stay dialed in and Crossman sent me another without any questions. The second did better, but I replaced it anyway. It's a little tough to cock and load if you're "strength challenged." My wife tried to load it one day when I was out of town and tore her rotator cuff requiring physical therapy! The trigger pull isn't great and only minimally adjustable. I would prefer more on the next generation.

Great for small game/rodents/pests
July 22, 2012
I am greatly enjoying this pellet gun! I had to replace my Daisy pump, for the seals blew after just a few months of very light shooting, and this gun is more powerful and obviously of superior quality. This is our 2nd Crosman pellet gun; I will never go back to Daisy. I was so impressed by the quality and accuracy of my son's Raven (model CY6M77X) that I had to get the Storm XT (dad's need stronger guns that a 9 year old, right?). The gun is advertised to shoot at 1,000 fps but if you put the alloy pellets in it you can get up to 1,200 fps; which causes your shot to break the sound barrier and it sounds like a .22 cal. I like it because you can shoot rodents within city limits legally with it. Can't do that with an actual firearm.
Pros:
- very powerful - durable
Cons:
- it is heavy at 7lbs (a composite body like the Raven would help) - plastic rear sight breaks easily (should be made of metal or study composite)

A decent, well priced choice
March 27, 2012
I love the power this rifle has, definitely keeps a good speed of over 1000fps when using standard pellets, but had a bit of an issue with the scope. Definitely better than nothing by FAR, but no mildot system, and kinda low power. P.S. - had an an issue with the spring breaking on me a few months after purchase.. Honestly I would bet this is an isolated incident, but the spring was entirely destroyed, and I know i did not abuse my weapon. I know i cant shatter a steel compression spring that easily.
Pros:
Long range (150yd+ effectively) Powerful Extremely accurate Durable wooden frame Reliable firing (when all components are maintained) Steel rifled barrel & compression chamber.
Cons:
Heavy Low powered scope

Q&A
By Jeremy from Cape Town on February 25, 2012
I understand that the trigger is adjustable, but I don't know how to do that. How does one go about adjusting the trigger?
By kevin from Bangor Maine on March 27, 2012

Answer:
Looking at the bottom of the grip & trigger of your rifle, you should see two screws attatching into the wooden frame, one is large, and drives through a pre-made opening in the trigger guard, the other is smaller, and can be found on the trigger assembly itself. Adjusting this screw will allow you to menuever your trigger sensitivity&position to your leisure.
----Many youtube videos will offer a more thorough example.

WARNING
Be ABSOLUTELY SURE that your rifle is unloaded and decompressed before attempting to change anything on your trigger assembly.

can you put accesories on it like laser or other sights
By Staff on February 23, 2012

Answer:
We offer many laser and other optic kits that mount onto the scope, so yes you can put other accessories on your rifle.
By Elliot from cedarburg, wisconsin on May 3, 2012

Answer:
Yes i put a lot on mine like i have a flashlight and laser pointer

By dwight from westmemphis on April 30, 2012
how do you load it

By Staff on May 3, 2012

Answer:
First off you break the barrel, this reveals the chamber and also cocks the rifle at the same time. once the chamber is revealed you put your pellet in (shoots one shot per cock and load) restore the barrel and you ready to shoot.
