I did a review on some of these pellets and after looking at the tin, and where they were made, I would like to change my review. The newer style pellets that are made in Spain and not China are significantly better. In fact they have become my go to pellets. Daisy’s web site gives them a weight of 15.27 but my scale puts them at 15.4. Daisy now is onboard with Gamo and BSA and for the sake of these pellets...it has been a God Send! My former review was anything but flattering. If you notice the dates of the reviews you will notice they get better in recent years. That’s because of their joint effort of 3 company’s and Spanish manufacturing. These pellets now are awesome in everything from my Liberty’s,Gauntlet, Crown, and evening my LCS SK-19 and hold a 1/2” group at 50 yards at speeds from 725 up to 920 FPS . For the money you really can’t get a better expanding hollow point pellet. They are clean, consistent in size and weight. Ladies and gentlemen...I have no complaints...awesome!
Pros
The price and the amount you get
Cons
The perception of the newer style Daisy Hollow Points that are made in Spain and not China
Not pictured and they weigh 15.0 grains
Pros
Cheap and velocity and twist rate sensitive
Cons
Very very dirty frequently deformed have to be washed and dried plus lubed before use
I have bought the Hollow Points in a tin of 500ct. The tin isn’t the screw type and creates a vacuum when trying to open them making very hard to access. They’re covered with lead dust and have to be washed, dried and lubricated before shooting. Like most pellets, they are velocity and barrel particular. Out of my Gauntlet at 825 FPS they shot well and out of the Nova Liberty’s at 1055. FPS, I have taken rabbits out well past 100 yards cleanly and accurately with. However in the 22SG and Benjamin 392 they cannot hold better than a 6” group at 25 yards and both guns are under 600 FPS. They are soft and at higher velocity do mushroom to 2X their original size, which is why I will take the time to clean and sort and lube them. If your guns are expensive and you don’t want them full of lead trash like dust and particles, you will have to do some work before shooting them. That is why they should never go up in price and will always be considered cheap pellets. Fit, form and finish. They are a very dirty pellet. But in the right gun after work they do all right. Shot out of a higher velocity gun to reach their full potential. Lower velocity guns and maybe cheaper guns, performance will not be there and will be good for getting your barrel seasoned, gun breach, magazine and fingers covered with lead.
Pros
Cheaper than most for now.
Cons
Very dirty, lots of dust and lead fragments. The non threaded tin sucks literally, vacuum issues bad when trying to open tin.
I looked this pellet up on you tube it had a bunch of bad pr such as crushed and uniform but I ordered them to see what they looked like and to see how they shot in my qb78 along with some other pellets opened the can dumped them out one bad shoots fine
Pros
one bad pellet in can of 500 this time
Cons
no
I have shot several thousand of these pellets and found them to be exceptionally accurate when fired from various pumps and C02 rifles and pistols.
Pros
These are easy on the wallet, accurate, hard hitting (raise _ell with pests) out to 45yds.
Cons
On certain rifles I have to guide the pellet in with my thumbnail when closing the bolt.
The Daisy pellets work great especially for the low price. Make a good pellet to break in your barrel and just plink with.
Pros
Price, for the price the quality is pretty good. Shoot them for plinking or could be used for hunting.
Cons
Not quite as accurate as other pellets I have tried in my Hatsan .22 but not at all bad for the cost.
This is some of the most accurate ammo for any .22 under 700 fps. It is not ideal in high powered guns. Try it in your plinker.
I bought them because they were cheap but found that they have a lot of deformities and even the straight ones are fliers! 8" group at 50' with these and 1" group at 50' with Crosman Premier. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY (unless accuracy and performance are not a concern of yours)
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Everything
