Pretty good deal but...........

I bought this set so that my Grandson and I could spend some Quality time plinking together . The 901s is a good plinker. The 1000 is really a lot more serious of a weapon. It is very heavy for what it is, and it is not easy to cock for me at 65 years old. The bottom line is that I will probably be giving the 1000 to my 32 year old son and getting a repeating PCP airgun for myself. Like I said, I am viewing this gun from a plinking standpoint. As a rat killer, I think the 1000 would do a pretty good job for a very reasonable price. The fit and finish on the 1000 is good for the price, but then what do you expect for this price. The scope is surprisingly good on the 1000s. My grandson prefers open sights on his 901, probably because the scope is garbage.
