I almost really got hurt with this rifle. We all know to check stock screws, however I did not expect the main stock screw in front of the trigger to come loose in around 10 shots, it did and the entire action came flying out right at my face, this rifle takes two men and an boy to cock it so it had a lot of force behind that situation and I narrowly escaped injury. I am very mechanical and a careful inspection of the stock screw and the receiver screw boss connected to the action revealed that only (3) threads of the screw actually seated in the screw boss. I contacted RWS/Diana or tried to and the person I finally got to talk to did not comprehend and they sent me a screw for an entirely different model rifle. So I called them again and was told, sorry this is t he only solution we have. Currently this rifle sits in the closet, I put loc-tite on the screw and wrapped ten wraps of parachute cord around the action and stock, just in case. I rarely shoot it.

Pros
It does have a fantastic trigger and is very, very accurate. No room below so, if you can somehow track me down , I have no wish to violate any rules, I will give you the rifle along with the below warning, I simply do not trust it at all. Yep I did find a longer screw, however even with loc-tite it would work loose quite quickly, hence the parachute cord just in case.

Cons
This rifle is extremely hold sensitive. Shoot at the bench OK fine! Go hunting and you do not have a bench and every shooting position is different, maybe up in a tree, or a squirrel hopping along the forest floor, each shooting opportunity requires from sitting to resting the rifle on you arm against a tree and the point of impact will drastically change. So sure it is very accurate at the bench, mostly worthless for hunting. Best solution, sight it in with shooting sticks and use them always, make sure you place the rifle exactly the same spot each time.

Picked gun up today. Have had several airguns over the years including other dianas and weirhach guns. Must say im not disapointed with this diana 31 in 22 cal. Surprisingly accurate and quiet shoot. Some plastic parts including sights and trigger but they are both very, very good. Feels solid and smooth to shoot.Feels well built even though its obvious its built down to a price. Im very happy with mine. Thanks.

Pros
Quality well built german gun. Smooth to shoot. Powerful. Fairly quiet.

Cons
Some plastic parts but they do the job very well.

Why no iron sights? Especially on a break barrel and at the price. Can they be added?
