Big Bad MAMA

By John from Lawrenceville,Georgia on May 18, 2012
I needed a gun strong enough for squirrels, because they had clear cut all around me and drove all of them onto our 1 1/2 acres and they where eating my tomatoes up---well this does the job---most of the time with 1 shot--break down 1 time put in a pellet and ready to fire--I am 65 years old and I can break it down easy--you want be sorry with this gun Pros:
Easy to break down and put in a pellet--scope works fine for meCons:
would be nice if it had iron sights for back upI would recommend this item to a friend.
Huge upgrade from our old air rifle!

By Annaliesa from Grove City, OH on April 9, 2012
My husband and I both loved this rifle. It shoots with amazing accuracy, thanks to the great quality and good scope. I always have trouble with smaller sized scopes because of my vision, but this one is larger and works great. You can see clear as day. It works great with the platinum ammo that comes with it. Makes any other type of ammo seem like a joke.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Gamo Big Cat 1250 Much, Much More Than Expected!

By Steve from Julian, NC on April 4, 2012
This is definitely a must-have for the prepper! You can't find a better small game rifle for the money that costs so little to use! I have my hunting rifles, shotguns and handguns - but this air gun is the best deal for the money. I spent 15 minutes and seven rounds of .177 cal pellets to sight in the scope than comes with it at 40 yards, to DEAD CENTER! Had my yard been wider, I'd have gone for more. It does have recoil and it's a bit loud, but that's how a spring powered break barrel comes. I'll have to keep an eye on the sight, but that's not a biggie - it's part of the fun! Kudos to AirgunDepot for the speed and ease of this purchase and kudos to Gamo for an excellent product!Pros:
Easy to sight in.Well made.
Excellent rifle for the money.
Cheap to use.
Cons:
Didn't get it sooner.I would recommend this item to a friend.
very enjoyable

By Marlin from York Pa on February 12, 2012
After reading reviews on many air rifles I was concerned that some said "cracks like a 22". I bought this for target shooting in the back yard and sound would be an issue. There is no way this is even close to any conventional firearm. I am pleased with the accuracy, sound and price of this rifle. Pros:
Quite accurareCons:
Single shotI would recommend this item to a friend.

I think the gun is a good value for the money. Had no trouble sighting it in and everything works as it should.. I only gave it 4 stars because of the trigger. It really limits the degree of accuracy because of it's stiffness. I read the reviews and knew this when I bought it however.Pros:
well madegood value
Cons:
triggerI would recommend this item to a friend.
Amazing gun

By Nicholas from Laguna niguel California on November 15, 2011
It's an extremely powerful gun to use if hunting or just wanting to shoot cans. But over all it is an amazing gun. Also when using raptor pellets it becomes extremely loud And very deadly
Pros:
How much power it has and how accurate it isCons:
Build a condenser to the front of it so that it can become a little quieterI would recommend this item to a friend.

This gun is amazing enough said. the only thing i had a problem with is the loudness of the first 40-50 shots because the oil is all nice and good, but the sound eventually gets lower but is still very loud.big cat air rifle

Answer:
First of all make sure it's not loaded for obvious safety reasons. Second turn the rifle upside down till the trigger is facing you. You then loosen the two screws that allow access to the trigger. Finally there's a small phillups screw behind the trigger, turn it clockwise to de-crease the length and counter-clockwise to increase the length of the triggwer action. I hope you find this info helpful, thanx.By Gary from Rocky Mount , N.C. on February 24, 2012

There are pellet guns that are semi automatic with 8-10 rounds an I believe there are a coupl that are even automatic. However, those guns are in the range of $1200-$1600. So for the most part, yes, they are single shot.

No it doesn't come calibrated, at least mine did not. calibrating the scope was a breeze, specially if you're familiar with airguns. The rifle itself is amazing it has plenty of fire power and extremely accurate. I love everything about the Gammo Big Cat air rifle! My whole experience to this day has been amazing and the customer service and shipping at Air Gun depot was pleasent. All of gamo air rifles are made in spain. The scope is made in china but is very decent. I don't recommend buying a new scope, it does the job to about 70 yards.By dylan from Shreveport, Louisiana on May 13, 2012

I have killed doves as far as 50 meters, (54 yards) with with a single shoot, using 7.8 grains pellets.Your effective distance with this airgun depends more of your skill to aim, I used no compensation, the drop of the shot is not a problem.
You may be tempted to install a more powerful scope to aim distances longer than 30 yards...

We attempted to have our 11 year olds use this rifle, and it was difficult for them to hold it and complete the reload. We have a lower FPS rifle that is a little easier for them to operate, that they usually use instead. But, it is a great gun and it's been the favorite overall.By David from East Bangor, Pennsylvania on January 15, 2012

Answer:
The need for a firearm license is to be determined by your local city/state. Most areas do not require a license for this type of gun/rifle. You should not need one in your area Pennsylvania as we have no shipping restrictions there.
