Best pellet gun i have ever seen
May 29, 2012
Before I start the review, i should say that i was using a Leapers 3-9x40AO mil dot scope, with Leapers 2-peice rings. After a break-in period (just to be safe, I used 150 rounds), this gun was shooting EXTREMELY tight groups, meaning ~.75-1 inches at 10 yards (there was a bit of human error- i think it is capable of shooting a .5 or better inch group) with the artillery hold and PBA Raptor pellets. The trigger is made of polymer and it is adjustable, but I found that not only is it perfectly fine for precision shooting, the trigger pull is perfect out of the factory. Unless you are a total wimp, the recoil should be absolutely no problem. However, this gun is very loud.
Pros:
accuracy trigger velocity consistency stock accurate even at supersonic speed
Cons:
noise- not too bad, but makes the neighbor's dogs pissed off at me

Gamo Big Cat .177 Cal
February 19, 2012
The Gamo Big Cat is a great gun for the money. At 20 yards it shoots about 2-3 inch groups. The only problem I had with it was that the crosshairs of the scope didn't move far enough in order to get dialed into the pellet, I replaced it with the Bsa 3-9x 32 scope. The only other problem was that the plastic housing on the rear of the receiver brakes because the gun is to powerful for the scope mounts that it comes with and when they slide back on the dovetail mount it cracks the housing. Over all it's a great gun and I've managed to shoot a crow with it and the pellet went strait through him.
Pros:
Seems like it will last a while, great power, all weather stock, and looks cool. good for people who don't want to spend very much money on a durable pellet gun that isn't made in china.
Cons:
It has a plastic trigger, plastic trigger guard, defective scope, and a plastic rear dovetail housing.

I just spent the last hour shooting bottle cap and making marbles explode at 25 yards with this gun!!!! I shot a racoon at about 30 yrds last night, with a complete skull pass through. GET ONE!!!
Pros:
ACCURATE, DURABLE, POWERFUL.
Cons:
I can't get it away from my son long enough to play!!!

Good feal
January 7, 2012
My friend has this rifle and i really like it but it just feals like a toy to me. i like air guns that have a little bit more weight than this rifle has. other than that it has the same knock down power as my Ruger. Even though usually the scope that comes on a rifle is not good, this one is actually not that bad. my friend wanted me to get it but i already had made my chose. love Gamo though
Pros:
good quality gun very light comes with ok scope
Cons:
Very light gun

Gamo Big Cat: Great Starter Rifle
November 29, 2011
I got this gun for Christmas years ago when I was in fifth grade. It was the coolest thing I ever got for Christmas, I'm fourteen years of age now. Although my Big Cat has been hibernating for a while, it is still a great rifle. The gun has enough power to take down rats, crows, and larger animals if you know the vital areas of them. The gun is also a great plinker. The cocking effort is relatively easy to other higher end rifles. The thing I love about the Big Cat is its value. Its rugged, its accurate, and its powerful, and its only 140$ (and I got mine for 120!). The scope it comes with is alright, its a 4x fixed zoom that is good to replace early on. All in all, this is one of the best rifles on this website for the money. At only 140$ you cant get much better than this. Although its a basic rifle with no outlandish features, it serves its purpose and wont let you down. I absolutely recommend this gun.
Pros:
Comes with a scope Powerful Nice textured synthetic stock Good power Durable Lightweight
Cons:
A little loud for my liking Scope doesn't look proportional

Gamo Big Cat

Great airgun, especially for the price ! PBA ammo goes completely thru steel soup cans at 50-plus yards. Have taken many squirrels, 1 woodchuck and 1 porcupine in only a few months. Porcupine was an in-and-out headshot at 35 yards w/ PBA ammo. Rifle is quite accurate, the supplied scope has an annoying tendency to lose zero.

i found this to be a fantastic gun. it was great for target shooting ,i shot a beer can from 30 yards and it went all the way through and hit a tree ten feet behind it. and its good for pest control too i shot a squirrel from 20 yards out of a tree. and with this gun for hunting i would go with the gamo red fire pellets really good penetration.
