I've owned mine for almost a year and it seems to have become more powerful after I fired it a hundred times. With plastic skirted bb ammo it will go through a nickel at close range. That's powerful

Pros
Many

Cons
Scope and mounting not sufficient for recoil. Get a better scope right away

This rifle would be an easy 5 star, but I purchased the "Whisper" to shoot in our back acreage. Surprised me how loud this rifle is. Tough to cock, looks and feel are terrific! Scope is better than some that accompany an air rifle. Quality is GREAT. Powerful air rifle.

Pros
Stock, scope, bull barrel

Cons
Too loud

I've been shooting this Bull Whisper Extreme most of a year now. It has been interesting and enjoyable. I refer to it as the Bull. It is spring powered, and the cocking effort is pretty stiff, 30 lbs or - . I LOVE the look and feel of the stock, after I cleaned it up a bit with a file. In the first week I really thought it was terrible because I couldn't get it to stay on target. Then the crosshairs started turning by increments with each shot. The scope looks awesome, and it probably is if you switch it to a lower power gun, but this gun has some serious shock. It doesn't kick hard, but I have a collection of four broken scopes. I have learned not to shoot heavy pellets with this gun. The shock from them is what breaks the scopes. I have settled down with GAMO Tomahawk 7.9gr. pointed hollowpoints. Cheap and accurate. The rings had to be replaced with medium NC Star rings and I removed the riser rail. Some reviewer on other sites complain that the "Whisper" is too loud. I say the noise dampening barrel works great, if you are shooting out in the open spaces. If you shoot by buildings the shock wave will clap off the walls. I filed off the molding lines in the plastic to give it a smoother feel. I think I voided the warranty, but I don't care. It's mine and I'm keeping it. It has a very balanced feel and is not too heavy. The S.A.T. trigger is nice. If you use lightweight lead or alloy pellets there will be a loud report from the sonic book of the pellet.

Pros
The stock is very nice looking and feeling. It is powerful and accurate. The cocking is very smooth. The "Bull Barrel" noise suppressor does a nice job of reducing noise. Made in Spain. Hecho en Espana.

Cons
The 'Extreme' shock will break a scope or two or 4. It might not be easy enough to cock if you weigh less than 150 lbs. But my 12 year old son has been working it for a year. You must buy a shockproof scope.

I have used many air rifles and this one is a nice unit. As advertised, it is powerful. With these high speed .177's, you can generate .22 cal energy with hunting pellets. I chronographed the CPHP at 1057 fps and the Gamo PBA Coppers at 1161 fps and they pop! I suspect the 1400 might be attainable maybe with PBA raptors but these are good hunting velocities. The build of this gun is good, the barrel shroud does dampen the noise as this gun is much quieter than my Browning Air Magnum. The shroud is a little cheap in my opinion but seem functional and will not miss the ugly fake silencer on the whispers. The SAT trigger is great for this save the chalie da tuna trigger purchase. Gamo seems to have listened but they lack one thing that Benjamin has and that is a sling. For these hunting power guns, you want slings for carry purposes. I also really liked the cocking motion on this gun, it is stout but very smooth for a springer. It may be premature for 5 stars but she sighted in pretty quick and the scope is very adequate and nice. Lock down your screws and shoot away. This is a keeper.

Pros
Light weight for this kind of power Reasonable cost Good power and action

Cons
shroud could be better made needs sling

At what range should I sight in? I tried using PBA copper pellet's, at 20 yds.and kept hitting 2 1/2 in. high. I then found out that the scope reticule was not moving. I've replaced the scope, and have not yet shot it,but don't know what range to expect consistent accuracy.

asked Edward Brown

How does the bull compare to the fusion pro? Down range noise is my main buying point. I'm currently shooting the gamo recon whisper .117. Small game is what I'm after.

asked Rescue Bob

What kind of groups can be expected at 50 yds with bench rest?

asked wvsportshooter

Depends on you man...I can shot 3/4" with this gun at that range but i know the pellet hold and trigger of this gun.

John Doe

So how quiet is this? Loud hand clap?

asked James

Assuming the numbers on fps are inflated and the fact it's a spring, yeah probably around there unless you use PBA

Jake from USA

Is the 3.74 lb. trigger pull before or after adjustment?

asked Ben

Before

Jake from USA

Will this take out a crow? How quiet is it? A loud handclap comparable? Thanks, Doug

If you go on YouTube and watch the high road with kieth warren he shoots several hogs with it it has plenty of power for whatever you want

This gun no doubt will drop a crow, rabbit, or squirrel. 1400 FPS will take down a lot of small game.
