For me, just a red fire that glows
May 13, 2013
These glow very bright if you let them sit in direct sunlight(or other bright light), but at the high fps I'm shooting them at, I can never see them streaking through the air. I think spectators would be able to see it fairly easily, especially from a lower fps gun. As the shooter, I'm on the wrong side of the pellet while it's in flight. All in all, worth the extra couple bucks to try out a tin if you plan on buying similar priced red fires anyway.
Pros:
tip does glow brightly it's still a nasty hunting pellet
Cons:
I couldn't see it from the shooter's perspective.

Great fun for dusk shooting
December 9, 2012
These are kind of like shooting tracers from a pellet rifle. They don't do much except hit the target during daylight but shooting them at dusk or on overcast days provides quite a show. My adult daughter shot the whole tin up on me just to watch the light show.
Pros:
Novelty item. Good for entertainment at dusk if you want to follow your rounds into the target. They are certainly not tracer rounds but they are about as close as one can get for pellet rifles/pistols.
Cons:
Little value for varmint suppression.

Glow pellet is a nice twist on these pellets. They really glow. It helps when loading in lowlight and they pack a punch. I like these pellets, they get the job done.
Pros:
Love the way they glow. All around a really good pellet.
Cons:
Don't have in .22 cal and .25 cal

they need improvement
December 8, 2010
As far as shape, these are flawless in appearance. I have no problem with the size, What you should know is this.... They do in fact glow in the dark. They do glow bright, so bright in fact I was able to see them glowing inside durring the day after charging the tip with a flashlight. All this is good but here's the catch... they only stay glowing about 10 minutes or so. Then they rapidly fade. Also I found from the shooting position you cannot see the glow unless it ricochets off a surface. The reason is design. All the glowing is just in the tip... a tip you cannot see unless you are off at enough of an agle from the shooter that you can see the tip. Also if hunting at night you have to charge the pellet a few seconds under a bright light, stick it in a gun then fire. That bright light shows off your position and spooks your target and it's gone before you can get a shot. Awsomew theory but not too long on practicality. I bought these as a fun pellet because in my time in the military the one part I really enjoyed was the live night fire ranges with all the tracers going off. I liked the idea for air rifles. Good engineering effort but they need to put the entire pellet in a glow in the dark jacket if possible and make the glow last a bit longer.
