Weighing just 5 lbs., the Gamo Little Cat is sized for younger or smaller shooters. But don't be fooled into thinking it's not a serious air rifle. It's been sized down from the adult Gamo air rifles so kids can learn the proper way to hold, handle and shoot. The Smooth Action Trigger (SAT) is another plus you won't find in other youth guns. Most of the competition will have extremely heavy triggers that force youngsters to pull the trigger so hard that they actually move the muzzle off target, causing poor accuracy.

Gamo has seen the benefits of a good trigger for kids and this will help them get more enjoyment and develop proper habits for a lifetime of shooting. You don't have to be a youngster or a new shooter to enjoy this air rifle. Adults who just want a gun with open sights that they can use for leisurely shooting will also enjoy the Little Cat. The easy cocking effort really takes a load off.

Nice quality, light weight, and accurate
April 25, 2014
The Gamo Little Cat is one of the few pellet guns that is still offered in wood and steel at a reasonable price. In time, they will be hard to find since people will hold onto them. It is a small-sized break-barrel pellet rifle. It requires only moderate cocking force to operate and it provides exceptional practical accuracy. Smaller-sized shooters will find it a pleasure to shoot. I have fired 6-7 brands of lead pellets and 2 brands of alloy pellet in my rifle. All the lead pellets have given reasonable plinking and small game hunting accuracy. Some provide great accuracy at normal distances. My rifle prefers JSB Exacts in the 7.3 grain (domed) variety. It also offers good power/velocity. My rifle can easily shoot through pop cans, and the thicker metal soup cans. It also can penetrate small trim boards. The trigger is adequate for the price and for practical shooting purposes. The overall length is shorter than most wood/steel barrel-cocking pellet rifles. Excellent quality for the price. My grandson enjoys shooting it. I have mounted a small scope on this air rifle and it has shot some decent groups at 10-15 meters. Yes there are more better/more powerful/full-sized air rifles which weigh 7.5 to 8.5 pounds . However they can't touch the size and weight of this model at the price.
Pros:
Good value and power for the price range. Nice quality wood and metal air rifle. Great for shooting and watching cans hit the deck. Light weight and accurate. Easy to cock. Low noise level. A great quality air rifle that can be passed down in the family. It accepts a small scope, however the open sights offer the best shooting experience. Gamo has excelled with this small model.
Cons:
None.
