GAMO PT-80 Co2 Tactical Air Pistol - Does not jam!

The PT-80 Tactical is a great new version of the proven Gamo PT-80 air pistol. The PT-80 Tactical incorporates the “shoot from the hip” advantage only the accurate Gamo Flashlight system can offer. With this great looking pistol you can fire 8 pellets (Not BB’s) as fast as you can pull the trigger. The barrel breaks in the back to expose a cylinder to load pellets. For extreme accuracy, the PT-80 can shoot single action. The PT-80 with Laser is shipped with a blue plastic hard case with foam lining. Extras: Compensator. Optics: Raised rail 30 mm Red Dot. Grip: Tactical Flash light with pressure pad.

This air pistol will perform quickly and accurately, even in low light or no light!

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Excellent little pistol, scares away the squirrels too.
April 7, 2013
I decided to give this pistol a review because I have read too many bad reviews on the web. I purchased my PT-80 Tactical about five years ago from Cabelas. I have shot thousands of pellets through it. I am a target shooter and set up a little range in my basement to have some fun when I can't get to the full size range. This pistol is very accurate. You could shoot a dime with all 8 shots of the clip from 50 feet away. The flashlight is more annoying than anything and was removed the first day of shooting. The red dot scope however, is one of the finest that I have used. The battery just seems to last forever. This pistol is top quality and is something you can hand down a generation or two. It is well put together, sturdy, and packs a punch. I love to use it to scare the squirrels out of the bird feeder and from a good distance, it is harmless to them. As with anything, there are some negatives, the trigger pull is a bit on the long side and hard to pull. The Co2 cartridges do not last very long, about four or five clips. You might as well change it out. That is a small chore in itself, especially if you have big hands. These complaints are really meaningless though considering the gun overall. This is not a toy made in China like many of the others. It is a well built pistol for experienced shooters.
Pros:
Good weight Loud enough to know you have a weapon in your hand Accuracy Quality Ease of use Red dot scope Mid price range Overall look and feel
Cons:
Trigger pull, flahlight, CO2 cartridge installation.

Good not Great
December 2, 2008
Just got it today.Great looking gun.Nice feel,.The Flashlight is a joke.I even bought the Laser Beam thats a joke too, $35 wasted. I mounted the Red Dot Scope and sighted it on about 25 feet.Took 3 clips to get in.Yes trigger was awefull at first but acutally seemed to loosen up after a few clips.I shot real tight groups free hand,a dime could cover them at 25 foot..Fun to shoot.

OK gun, not great
February 21, 2008
I changed out the flashlight immediately for the laser sight which works really well. (Really now, a flashlight on a pellet gun?). The gun itself is fun to shoot. The trigger is a bit sloppy and I've only shot it single action for accuracy's sake, Speaking of which---it's execrable. I shot fifty different makes of pellets through it in 5 shot groups and never got a grouping within an inch and a half (@10 meters). However, I never had any feed failures magazine-wise and clicking off 8 shots in a row at a string of cans at 3 meters ought to be blast. Overall, a fun gun, but don't expect much birding success.

Cheaply made, does not function well
July 27, 2007
I purchased the Gamo PT-80 Tactical mostly because of the Gamo name and the features of the kit. The main reason why you purchase any type of firearm is to shoot it....duh! The Gamo Tacticaly looks good, has lots of nice features, but performs miserably. Right out of the box, the pellet magazine does not rotate consistently in double or single action. The trigger pull is not adjustable and extremely long and hard to pull....this does not allow for any type of real accuracy. The CO2 loading mechanism is archaic at best. You would think that with the technology we have that Gamo might have come up with a cammed locking mechanism to load and seal the CO2. By the time you crank down on the CO2 with the tiny little screw handle (for those of you who have big fingers, this will be a problem), you will most likely lose 10-20% of the CO2 before you can get it to seal. IMHO, the Gamo PT-80 is not for adult shooters, but nothing more than a kid's toy.

great gun

This gun is alot better then I thought it would be, the red dot sight works amazingly wel.l The only thing i wish it had was the option to take off the compensator (not a silencer) without there being a barrel under it.

Best Pellet Gun I Own
May 26, 2007
The silencer works well, the red dot sight came pre-adjusted, the flashlight works amazingly well, and all required batteries were included with extras packed. I was grateful for the single & double action options because the trigger pull is very long. It is a fast-shooting gun. Don't put your targets on wood- the ricochet is mean.
