my first pellet rifle
April 7, 2013
I have fired 22 rim fire for years. I have five .22s' and none are as accurate as this gun. I have found that pellet guns are fussy as to what ammo they like. As one reviewer on youtube indicated "Crosman premier hollow points seem to shoot the most consistent with this gun." I've only shot about 200 pellets so far but I have not had problems with the scope that others have complained about. I might consider getting a scope with variable magnification. For right now though, it's fine. I got this for $129.00, on sale, which made the gun even better. I'm sure that there are better pellet guns out there, but for the money (even for more money), I am loving it.
Pros:
Light Easy to cock Accurate Price
Cons:
None so far

Gun is a Monster
March 24, 2013
I ordered one of these about five days ago. First let me say that the shipping option I chose was 3-5 days. The gun shipped in ONE day and got here the next! I can already say that Airgun Depot is fantastic with customer service. I'll be coming back a lot more. Anyway, about the gun, it got here in perfect condition. Overall looked really nice. I took it out and put some Crosman Destroyers in it and it shot pretty nice. I can already say that the scope needed to be replaced. I already knew that though, as I have about four Gamo's in total and replaced all the scopes. I bought a 3-9x40 and it shot BEAUTIFULLY. It's accurate out to at least 65 yards, and that's the distance I took a squirrel from. It is fairly loud, but who cares right? Anybody reading this: Buy this gun AND a scope for it. You won't be disappointed. (For the record, the scope was only $35.00 so it wasn't bad.) Thanks Airgun Depot!!
Pros:
Accuracy Appearance Dependability Range Smooth Break-Barrel
Cons:
Noise Scope

this gun is amazing, very accurate and not as loud as others, but for the money it is a great gun,i live in the city and my neighbors havent complained yet, i was also hunting rabbits and drop a rabbit from about 45-60 yards away, any kind of pellets work, i use the beemen hollow point .177 pellets its great. the scope isnt so great but its not the worst
Pros:
power quietness light weight
Cons:
scope

Gamo Rocket
March 8, 2012
Good gun, lousy scope. Trying to sight in the original scope was a nightmare. After replacing it with a tasco, it was sighted in minutes and shooting tight groups at 40 yards. When fired its about as loud as a .22. The stock is sturdy and the butt pad makes holding the gun tight to your shoulder easy. I would recomen loosening the trigger a bit as it puls kinda tight.
Pros:
The power and accuracy( once the scope is replaced )
Cons:
The scope. It is terrible.

Most air guns will not get that range including this one.

By Rolf from Wolding, Alabama on August 6, 2012
Anyone got a good recommendation on a scope for this gun? The cheaper the better!

By shawn from oil city pennsylvania on April 10, 2012
what would be the largest game to take with the gamo rocket 1250 rifle. i think the crosman hollowpoints shoot the most accurate out of it.
By Staff on April 16, 2012

Answer:
Hello,
You could probably take out a raccoon with this gun if you hit it in the head. Accuracy is the biggest factor in taking out larger game with an airgun.
