The Whisper Deluxe is a sharp-looking, sharp-shooting air rifle that incorporates ND52, a noise-reduction technology that makes it one of the quietest air rifles you can buy (52% quieter!). This spring-piston breakbarrel flings .177 cal PBA Raptor pellets at 1,200 fps (50 rounds included). Lead pellets will deliver about 1,000 fps. The 3-9x40mm scope has standard reticle and a 1-piece scope mount. Features include auto-cocking safety, manual trigger safety, two-stage adjustable trigger, fiber optic front/rear sights and ambidextrous stock with twin raised cheekpieces. This is an upgraded stock from the standard Whisper. Special all-weather stock has checkered inserts in the grip & forearm! We measured the cocking effort and it was 35 lbs. Gamo lists it at 30 lbs., so it's likely that the cocking effort will diminish as the gun breaks in.
The owner's manual states that the scope is mounted and bore-sighted. It is not.Includes special stock with checkered inserts, unmounted 3-9x40 scope with standard reticle, 1-piece mount, fiber optic sights and noise dampener.

Sparrow & Starling control
April 8, 2011
![]()
Purchased this air rifle to control the English House Sparrow & European Starlings that try to nest in our Purple Martin Houses. It is an excellent air rifle, it is quiet to use in my neighborhood & can be barely heard a house or two over, quieter than a staple gun.
Accuracy is great with the included 3-9x40 scope at 20-35yrds for what I shoot, can get head shots of Sparrows @ over 20yrds.
The ammo I prefer to shoot with is the PBA Raptors, I have had excellent results with this in my gun.
Overall an outstanding air rifle, I would recommend to a friend.

Read the reviews and decided on this model. I am quite happy. It IS loud with the Raptor pellets, but quiets down a lot with the lead ones. Scope mounting was a breeze, make sure the pin goes into the base and your good to go. Going to buy another for my son, that's the best reason as far as I'm concerned.

This is the first gun i hve got that shoots over 1000 fps and it is amazing. If you didn't realize it says that the scope is a
3-9x40 which means the magnification is adjustable from 3x to 9x, and by the way its great. The gun is supprisingly accurate with open sights and can hit a medium box at 60 yd.
Cons: have a little trouble putting on the scope with the recoil screw (i have a one piece mount, probabally wouldnt be a problem with a two piece), and the noise reducer still scares game away.
Overall this is a great gun and would reccomend it to anyone that wants a high quality gun.

I was amazed when I first shot this gun. It was very quiet and its accuracy was superb! The scope was OK and the stock trigger isn't very good either so I recommend buying the GRT-II trigger. It looks great on the gun and makes shooting a blast. I highly recommend buying the rifle. I have killed 3 squirrels at 75 yards with this rifle, all to the head. Enough said

I love my new gun! Very excellent condition. It also came on time. This gun is very strong. It sent a raptor .177 cal pellet through a thick can, some thin metal, and then through a glass root beer bottle. It shoots all pellets well. Which is lucky, most guns will only work with a few specific pellets. but for short distances, hollow heads for me, medium distances, i use a pinted premeir bullet, then for long distance and/or max penetration, the gold rapto pellets do the best. I look forward to shopping her often! Im very pleased.

First off, I recieved my gun one day sooner than I thought, second, when it came It was pact very well ,no damage. third ,I tried several types of pellets. but the RWS Meisterkugeln 8.2 grams exceeds far more than I would believe. when I sited in my scope with using RWS pellet and my target bullseye was the size of a nickle, that evey shot I made was dead on the bullseye. Also so far I have taken out 25 pack rats and still counting. At 150' I shot a rat right where my cross hairs were,in the side of his head. I highly recomend the Gamo Whisper DELUXE.

Answer:
It is supposed to be quieter than you average springer of this powerplant, because of the shroud thing at the end of the barrel.By kevin from illinois on November 21, 2011
