Bought this in the .22 cal. version. The scope bundled with it isn't great, but that should come as no real surprise. I replaced it with a better one right away. I was a little nervous about this purchase because I've never owned a Gamo made rifle before and decided to give them a try, and I don't regret it !! This gun has been shooting great for me practically out of the box! Lots of positives - it's fun to shoot, light weight even with scope compared to my other rifles, easy to cock, and seems to like just about every pellet I've introduced it to. The break in period was extremely short for me compared to my other rifles, and has enough power for my purposes. Everyone who sees it wants to shoot it! Others may have different experiences with this product, but so far mine have been all good. Love this GAMO!!

Pros
Looks good, light weight, shot well almost from the start

Cons
Scope not great

Hi I just tried my rifle out without the scope mounted. I found it to be fairly accurate. Honestly I have not fired it enough. My goal is to thin out the Grackels Sparrows Blackbirds etc. since they are chasing all the other birds away. My kill range is 12 feet max. I am afraid of overkill in my neighborhood. Do they make a pellet or is there a way I can slow this thing down . Thank you Mariio

asked Mario Floriani

Hi Shoot lead pellets. That's how you can get the slower speeds out of the rifle. Good hunting.

Is the rifle worth the money, how is the scope any good, Should I buy a expensive Hawker scope now Help

Is the listed 5.22 lbs weight accurate? Gamo's page says 8 lbs. Is that with the scope?

asked Ian from USA

Hard to say. I'd guess it would normally weigh ~5.2 with a normal stock and no scope, but this stock looks heavier than the normal. My guess is ~6lbs plus ~14oz for the scope, so I'm betting both numbers are wrong and it's between 6.5 to 7 complete. Hopefully someone will chime in with an exact #. Cocking effort and velocity would be nice too, most guns the velocity and cocking effort are lower than claimed.
