Hammerli Nova Underlever Air Rifle .177 cal, 1000 fps

I bought this rifle to upgrade from a refurbished Ruger Blackhawk. I added high profile scope mounts and the basic 4x32 Ruger scope that came with the refurbished rifle. I sighted it in at 20 yards and was very impressed with the tight groupings this rifle produced with crosman premiers 10.5gr pellets. It does have a breaking in period, but after 100 rounds or so, and a good lubrication, there are few fliers and most if not all can be attributed to operator skill (trigger pull) This rifle is excellent for hunting small game as well, killed 3 squirrels at ranges of 20-35 yards. Hits very hard, and can handle heavier pellets for better energy transfer into your intended target. Plus, you can't beat the price anywhere!

This rifle looks and shoots great. Can't get an underlever at this price anywhere. The wood stock is what makes this rifle stand out. Very handsome and I get a lot of comments on how good it looks. I perfer to shoot JSB or Crosman premier pellets with it.

BEAUTYFUL RIFLE TO LOOK AT AND SHOOT. HEAVY,POWERFUL AND ACCURRATE. THE TRIGER PULL IS HEAVY (LAWYERS) BUT CAN BE COMPENSATED FOR WITH PRACTICE. IT IS THE LIMITING FACTOR FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF THE GUN. VALUE WISE ..ONE OF THE BEST .ONLY COMPLAINT BESIDES TRIGGER IS THE SAFETY CANNOT BE PUT BACK ON AFTER BEING TAKEN OFF. BUY THIS GUN!!!

I was impressed with the appearence, and solidness of the rifle,it seems to be a quality piece.I purchased a fixed barrel to improve my accuracy and grouping which was LOST do to the trigger. The trigger effort required to get the shot off and it's' snap 'release once you overcame the resistence was enough to spoil the shot. I called UMAREX ( they have some very nice, helpful people over there ) and they said it was non-adjustable and they didn't have any remedy for the problem. I returned it for an exchange to a Gamo CFX, which I'm still waiting for. My problem may have been unique, as indicated by the other reviews, but if it's not ,I didn't want to take the time for another return. Good luck , if you get a good one it's a beautiful rifle.

this is a gun where u will take care of it because of the beauty of it. this gun has no recoil what so ever and can hit a can up to 60 yards not on a windy day. easy to load and definit worth every penny. it has power to send those doves off the powerline and those squirrls in your yard to start runing .best air rifle to buy. :-)

Spectacular. It took several shots to get used to calibrating the site. Otherwise, 1.5-2 inch spread @ 40 yards right out of the box. Definitely an adult gun. No recoil, but plenty of power ripping through aluminum cans at 50 yards. You will love this gun!

Very accurate gun,A little stiff to cock but getting better after relubing.Good balanced weight.Only thing that needs MAJOR improvement is trigger but i knew this before purchasing.It did help to polish a bit but do not change the angle on trigger or over buff it!You dont want it going off accidentally.
