Hatsan Vortex gas piston technology is developed and manufactured by Hatsan to be specifically used in most Hatsan break barrel and under lever airguns. Vortex gas pistons utilize regular air instead of any other type of gas. Gas piston power provides a smoother and quieter shooting experience, so you can forget about the grinding noise a spring powered gun can make. Cocking a vortex gas piston is also much smoother than a spring piston. This air rifle is quiet and will feel good in your hands while you shoot. The Hatsan 125 Sniper Vortex features the comfortable elevation adjustable comb which allows shooters to easily raise or lower the cheeckpiece. Along with the smooth vortex piston, Hatsan added their exclusive triopad butt and shock absorber systems. These systems work together to absorb recoil and reduce vibration from the moment you pull the trigger to the pellet exiting the barrel. Go ahead and hand your air rifle on to another shooter to try. You won't feel nervous handing your air rifle to a less experienced shooter with the drop safety interlock device Hatsan has emobodied in this model. The safety will prevent the air rifle from accidently firing if it is bumped or dropped, regardless if anyone forgot to put the safety on.

Who needs a .22 lr?
January 18, 2016
Talk about a beast...for a .177 cal..this baby is as powerful as any 22 lr out there. It is a bit loud depending on the pellet used. On the hollow point domed...it goes off like a very loud 22 using a magnum load. First time I fireed it, I was ducking and looking around for the 5 police cars I was certain were about to invade my little 2 1/2 acre shooting range. I'd say about 1300 to 1400 fps. On a heavier pellet, the they slow down to under the speed of sound and what you get is a reasonable "pop" that is not as loud as when a pellet hits a target. Accuracy..out of the box it was ok on the iron sights..I was getting 1" groups at 25 yrds...using a bench to steady the rifle. Upon switching to a scope. I was able to put 5 pellets in a .5" circle. At 60 yrds with a little adjustment to the scope, I was hitting groups of 1 to 1 1/2" with 5 rounds each with iron sights. I may be a slightly better shooter than the average after spending 6 yrs on active duty with USMC with combat experince. But, the average shooter should have little to no problems sighting this Hatsan in.
Pros:Accurate and very powerful out of the box with iron sights. Modifiable in several configurations...that is you can add several accessories for a few dollars. Over all an excellent pellet gun for the begginner with assistance from someone who can teach basic gun safety.
Cons:Scope shake is a problem. After about 3-4 pellets, it is wise to check to be certain the scope is secured. It seems that Hatsan has a tendency to make rifles with serious power. A good solution is getting some lock-tite or buy some socket head cap screws with a pellet or patch already installed. Check for fastener distributors in your area to get them off the shelf in many cases. Often times they will sample 4 or 5 out to local customers.

not so good
June 14, 2014
now first off let me say I am a Hatsan guy ...I own six 4 break barrel that are all VORTEX system and 3 PCP'S BT65Elite ,AT44PA,AT44QE LB..like I said I am a Hatsan guy... this 125 sniper .177 is loud ,not accurate at all I have put three different scopes and three different sets of rims on it
Pros:sorry to say other than it looks and the vortex system I can't find much good to say about this one and it really hurts .......my 125 sniper in 22 caliber is one heck of a tack driver out to 50 yards then she drops off but what a rifle
Cons:I can't get this to group for anything even at 10 feet I will have a 6 inch group I have tried seven different pellets with no luck .....I sure hope the one that I got its just a lemon .I love my Hatsan's and stand behind them 100% this one broke my heart
