CO2 guns make range time a fun time. No pumping, no hard cocking effort -- just pull the trigger and watch the BBs hit the target! You'll get about 60 usable shots from each 12-gram CO2 cartridge. That's about 3.5 magazines before you'll need to put in a fresh CO2 tank. Get this inexpensive pistol, and let the fun begin!

Hatsan 250XT Tac Boss Features
  • Semiauto
  • Fixed green fiber optic front sight, fixed notch rear sight
  • Uses a 12-gram CO2 cartridge
  • 17 round magazine
  • Up to 60 useful shots per CO2 cartridge

Steel BBs can ricochet. The shooter and everyone in the shooting area should wear safety glasses when a gun is being handled (even if it's unloaded). Remember to remove all pets from the area, as rebounding ammo can hit them, too. Never shoot steel BBs at hard objects (including metal targets) or water, as that increases the chance of ricochet.

The magazine for this air gun, kept releasing all the CO2, each time I tired to replace a cartridge. I lost four, complete cartridges. And then try an contact customer support! Finally received an EM, from Hatsan, requesting all kinds of background. All I wanted was guidance about how to purchase a new magazine. Finally was told that those were available from multiple sources on line. Although Hatsan provided an 800 number, and I called it; no call back. On top of it all, this air gun is only about a year old, if that, and the magazine malfunctions. Not good. TB

Pros
Nice weight, pretty accurate

Cons
Does not like copper clad BB's, mis fires with those. Need to use match grade, silver ammo.

The Pistol performs as advertised, no surprises

Pros
Handles nicely, good weight, about what I would expect from a gun in this price range. All it seems to do is piss off the squirrels that are wearing out my bird feeders. It was effective in dispatching Pigeons that were making a mess of my boathouse and boat.

Cons
You must be careful when loading the mag, because ih your finger is not held tightly on the slider you will have bb's all over the place.

If you own a Ruger Mk series 22LR, and want to do some cheap, and plentiful (when was the last time you found loads of 22LR on the shelves?), i recommend this gun. It feels and shoots like the Ruger, It even reasonably field strips like the Ruger (with some variation due to it being 1) a CO2 gun and 2) a pellet gun.

Pros
Grip feel is same as Ruger Magazine loads same as Ruger Field strips like the Ruger - mostly

Cons
Field strips like the Ruger - have always had a problem with putting the lever and hammer spring back in; oh, i can do it, but....

The gun and pretty hefty and well made. I like the feel and function of the gun. It shoots well for the price and being a BB gun. It won't win accuracy trophies but for shooting cans with the nephews it is a great gun. I like how you can field trip it and gives it a cool factor.

Pros
Great price. Great accuracy for a BB gun. Good quality.

Cons
Magazines are expensive.

This gun is great if you have a Ruger Mark II It resembles the firearm version to a tee it even reaks down the same if you want to be daring and take it down,You'll have the same fun as the original. I like this gun and I found it a gun show last year. I like this gun so much,I bought another one from Air Gun Depot just recently. You can't go wrong with this one"The blowback allows one to practice at a fraction of the now hard to find .22 lr ammo and still keep ones profiency without going to a range and most of the .22 ammo that you can find now is mostly foreign made and low velocity that sometimes the gun won't cycle correctly so this gun is a God send. A good idea is to stock up on clips when you can find them.I would buy another again,That's how much I like this one.

Pros
A clone of the Mark II, Real simulated practice to keep ones shooting eye fresh.

Cons
Extra cips cost as much a firearm version,I don't like the allen key co2 charger can be lost it is a common 1/4" key by the way. That's all

Aggravating, but would buy again.

Pros
All metal except grips and very accurate. Smooth but long trigger pull. Nice pull, not hard. Comfortable to hold. Nice balance. Good looking. Nice finish. Safety easy to use. Comes with 2 allen wrenches.

Cons
BB follower has to be held in place while loading. No notch to hold it while you load. I made a plastic holder to keep it in place while loading. Allen wrench supplied is not as good to use as other co2 piercing systems. Shoots a little high at 23 feet.

Is this a "fire as fast as you can pull the trigger" pistol, or must you cock or manipulate it in some way before each shot? How is the accuracy?

asked Ray

Yes, you pull the trigger and the gun fires. You pull again, it fires again. So It's "semi-automatic". But the trigger is double-action only, i.e. it will be a long pull, but smooth.
