I would recommend this item to a friend.
Looks way different then in the photos gave it 5 stsrs dispite the lityle issue
April 5, 2014
I opened up the box and I was surprised at how different it looked then from the photos. I have a wood Hatsan AT44w-10 .22 and every time I shoot it I have to wax the wood and treat the bluing. Things rust so quickly in Florida and that is just sitting on shooting stands for display. I have a 125TH with break barrel and piston and it never shown any sign of rusting. The Galatian in synthetic has a unique almost rubber like stock and I love all the weaver mounts on the fore stock. The gun looks like a shotgun and just has a nice feel and balance.I bought the kit and what a buy!!!
Pros:The kit contained a plastic case, a sling, 3 mags, an air splitter and an extra 255cc air cylinder. It also came with a box of extras like the air fitting, a cylinder degasser to bleed off air to change cylinders as well as an assortment of seals and allen tools to adjust the trigger. The front and rear Truglo sights came adjusted and since both cylinders were full it was ready to shot after a quick barrel clean and a lube. The open sights were popping groups out to 30 yards with no scope. My correct pellets are arriving today as they were back ordered. The article that Steve Scalli wrote said his gun was pellet fussy, if that is true then I am really going to be happy. I have been sticking in pellets from 19g to 31g. He said the best pellet is 25.4 JSB and AA. I have a temporary plastic $16.95 Optima scope 3x9x20 that came with my Hatsan 125TH and on my 50 yard range (we live on an acreage) and we have 25 to 100 yard range lanes set up. With that plastic scope the gun is shooting consistent 1/2 groups. My husband has Christmas cookie cans screwed to Oak trees all around the place at different yardages so we can sit on our front porch and take a few shoots when the mood strikes. I hit a small pill bottle at the 80 yard tree on the first try. So this gun is accurate just like the AT44W-10 only I have to hold over a half a dot with it to make that shot. So with 2 air cylinders and 7 mags as I bought 4 extras, I can carry 91 loaded .25 pellets and enough air to shot them. A few hours in the woods snake hunting. Love the rising cheek comb to see my sights as I have a 56mm scope on the way. The best thing about this gun is the bigger cylinders and the 13 round mags. It shot almost 4 mags before the air drops off and the long side handle is so buttery smooth. Once you get the hang of the little spring loaded ball in the mag loader then get used to the safety being in front if the trigger you can really sling the lead. Oh, another nice thing is a little red warning stickers out the back of the gun telling you your safety is off. Considering I paid a total of $752 for all the stuff I mentioned, what a bargain. I highly recommend air strippers, they do tighten up the groups on both my Hatsan PCPS.
Cons:I would say the biggest con was the parts of the gun that were painted were dull and not glossy like my other two Hatsans. It does not bother me because I wanted a rifle that I didn't have to pamper all the time. Something I could just use and wipe down the bluing and put on its displsy rack. The paint can be easily rubbed out with a little compound and then coated with wax. Careful when adjusting your trigger, Make sure you have your mag removed. I actually fired the key with the tigger tool!
