Even though FPS rates may look the same from brand to brand, that may not always be the case. Hatsan tests this rating using lead pellets, but most competitors use lighter aluminum alloy pellets. What this means for you is that your Hatsan Hatsan Model Model 95 .25 Caliber Air Rifle w/ 3-9x32mm Scope will deliver more knockdown power than an alloy-tested airgun with the same FPS rating.Hatsan airguns offer specialty features that come standard within the product line to provide shooters with a better shooting experience.

Hatsan Unique Features:

Quattro Trigger: (GOLD) Advanced gold plated two-stage match trigger only available from Hatsan
Shock Absorber System (SAS): Reduces vibration and increases the life of the gun, optics, and accessories
TruGlo® Fiber Optics: Microadjustable rear sight and front sight to lend more accuracy to every shot

Had High Expectations ....
June 14, 2015
Based on the reviews I read on the Model 95, I had high expectations for this gun. I can honestly say this gun far exceded what I had hoped for. First, the build quality is fantastic. In comparison to a previously owned Gamo Whisper Silent ($150 @ Walmart) .... there simply isn't any. The Hatsan is built like a German tank. The walnut stock is incredible (when my wife first saw this gun she said "wow ... you should hang that on a wall somewhere"). Using the fixed sites, after a few minor adjustments, I was hitting everything I aimed at from 135 ft. (without a bench support). This gun is flat out accurate .... and powerful. I was mainly using Crosman 7.9 Hollow Points .... also shot a half dozen of the Crosman Destroyer EX 7 grain. I know the gun is rated @ 1000 FPS using a 7 Gr. lead pellet, but on 2 of the 6 Destroyers I shot, they went supersonic ! So when Hatsan says 1000 FPS with a lead pellet, they aren't kidding. Cocking it isn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be. The gun does have some weight to it, but to me (I'm 63 years old) it felt very managable and quite enjoyable to shoot. I really hated puting it down, buy I had work to attend to. I would also like to commend Airgun Depot. Along with the 95, I purchased some other items that resulted in free shipping. Everything was packaged with care and delivery time was very reasonable. Airgun Depot just gained another customer .... I see no reason to shop anywhere else.
Pros:
Exceptional build quality utilizing German steel, a beautiful Turkish Walnut stock, Tru-Glo open sites and a very nice Quatro (adjustable) trigger. To look at the gun, it just screams QUALITY ! As stated, the gun is VERY accurate and powerful. It is NOT made in China. Overall, the gun is a gem and a killer deal for under $200. If you can find another air rifle that is better than the 95 for under $200, please let me know.
Cons:
If I decide to utilize a scope on this rifle, I will upgrade to a better scope and rings. As with any package deal, the scope is usually not much to brag about. However, the scope in this package does seem to be a cut above others I've seen. I wouldn't be a bit surprised I could sell it on ebay and use that money towards a better scope .... so maybe this isn't a "con" afterall?

Great Gun!
December 8, 2014
This was my first air gun and it was a great first gun. the gun was accurate and the velocity were very close as claimed. The walnut stock and the german steel just screams quality. The trigger is so smooth and predictable, but the scope is ok. If you can afford a better scope then get it , otherwise it will work. Great for small game.
Pros:
trigger, accurate, quality, close claimed fps
Cons:
the scope but it is not as bad as some as the other bundle scopes company gives you, this scope is actually usable.

Good value
November 5, 2014
Wood stock is gorgeous. Powerful and accurate. Likes Crosman premier ultra mag 10.5 g pellets the best. Have taken out about 50 ground squirrels so far. Easy to cock and not to heavy. Somewhat hold sensitive for best accuracy. Strong recoil makes it hard to keep scope sighted in. Be sure to loctite all screws. Scope is rifles weakest link.
Pros:
Nice looking gun. Accurate and powerful. Easy to cock. This is my go to pest control rifle.
Cons:
Scope and mount.

Love the rifle-they can keep scope.
October 25, 2014
I recently purchased this rifle after watching videos and reading written reviews. My past experience was with spring piston airguns was limited to a 1990's era Chinese made model that shot inconsistently. I have owned a Bejamin Nitro (1st Gen) for about a year and it is a smooth sweet .22 with a Charlie de Tuna trigger and a Hammers 3x9x32 AO scope. Both good and needed aftermarket products by the way. My first impression was that the mod. 95 springer is built solid. The metal is tight and the stock is nice-real wood. Fit and finish is good. All the screws were tight and all was good. The tru-glo sights are a nice bonus and I have also sighted them in with good results. After a good cleaning and scope mounting, it was time to shoot. The scope mounted easily and after about 200 rounds it has held zero. But the scope glass in my humble opinion is poor. The image is never as clear as it should be even when the eye piece is adjusted. It's just OK at 3-5 power, anything higher and it won't focus clearly. So I've ordered another Hammer scope. At first , the mod. 95 seemed recoil sharp compared to the nitro, but the more I shot the lighter the recoil got. It was noisier at first but it has also quieted down. The Quatro trigger is a good adjustable trigger with a good short first stage but I'd like a lighter 2nd stage. The trigger is more than adequate and far -far better than what came on the Benjamin. As for accuracy, I give a slight edge to the Hatsan 95. Both the Nitro and the Hatsan 95 shoot well with the Crossman Premier 14.3 gr. HP. The Hatsan 95 springer shot consistently tighter groups (nickel size 5-shot at 15 yds and quarter size at 25 yds. and had fewer flyers.) despite the sharper, albeit minimal recoil, crappy scope and a heavier trigger. The better accuracy may be a result of the heavy weight. I was amazed that it began to shoot such good groups even after about 50 rounds. Maybe I just got a good specimen, but I like this rifle. I will adapt to the different recoil of the spring piston and with a good adjustable glass this rifle will be so sweet. I've yet to chrono it side by side with the Nitro, but the wood penetration results were comparable. If your on the fence about this rifle, get down from there and buy one, you might be as pleased as I am. I see a gas piston .22 Hatsan in my future collection.
Pros:
-Nice quality stock with good checkering and finish. -Accuracy. consistent, Accuracy. -Good factory trigger. -Rifle is strong and tight. -Good quality, adjustable , fiber optic sights. -Price point.
Cons:
-Poor quality scope. -Rifle is heavy. A sling will help for field carry.

Best buy for quality , workmanship, accuracy
June 25, 2014
Very nice rifle with an attractive, walnut stock (full fiddleback toe to foreend tip) . Metal work is equal to many centerfire bolt actions. Heavy weight makes for steady holding. ACCURATE!!! Tried several brands .177 pellets before settling on the most accurate. Consistently make head shots on squirrels at 40+ yards, first shot hits. ( I sort pellets by weight before sighting in with the most common weight) Have recommended it to friends. POWERFUL--you need a good backstop if target shooting. Power comes from STRONG spring--cocking it a couple dozen times will give you a good workout---not for children or the weak armed. My only recommendation to improving the rifle would be to make the wrist/pistol grip a bit slimmer for an easier grip . Great gun--GIT u ONE

gun with lots of potential but poor customer service for warranty work
May 12, 2014
After dieseling this gun with my first shot, the breech seal had a tear in it. FYI, if you have this gun it is important to clean it prior to first shooting it. It must have had lots of oil from manufacturing. The torn breach seal was no big deal. I contacted Hatsan USA for warranty on this cheap part. Hatsan promised a replacement seal would be sent. It is going on two months now. No part has been received. E-mails to the warranty department can take more than two weeks to get a response. I have followed up with several e-mails, but have been promised three times now they would ship the part, but no luck yet. I am very disappointed in customer service. This gun has huge potential, but poor customer service brings my rating down.
Pros:
Things I like about the gun are its beautiful stock, it appears well manufactured, and has a nice sturdy feel.
Cons:
I am very disappointed in customer service. This gun has huge potential, but poor customer service brings my rating down.

wonderful quality rifle
May 4, 2014
This rifle is very well made and has great power, over 1000FPS with lead pellets, very accurate, solid, great walnut stock, feels like a rim fire rifle in your hands, this thing is built to last a life time, its trigger system is awesum , the scope is ok, but does not do this piece justice, you will want to upgrade, this is a rifle you'll be damn proud to have in your collection, and for less than $160.00, its the best gun on the market, hands down, you need this.
Pros:
This Gun Is A Machine, Built to Last, AAA+ Quality
Cons:

Great gun!
May 4, 2014
The gun is outstanding as long as the scope mounts and scope are changed. Be sure to lock tight the screws too. The adjustable trigger was adjusted to the lightest setting so do yourself a favor and buy an $.18 cent screw that is a little longer from the hardware store. It's a 3mm 50 pitch thread cannot remember the length. The gun shoots small groups and kills everything I've aimed at. The wood finish was a little dull when I got it but with some old English Polish it looks amazing. Highly recommend the gun with the few small mods.
Pros:
Quality built and powerful
Cons:
Crap scope and mounts, needs longer trigger adjustment screw, and finish was dull on wood stock.

April 14, 2014
I have bought so many air rifles trying to find just the right one. In the reviews this rifle has so many complaints I've always passed it by. The gun is not hold sensitive not at all it is not pellet fussy not at all. This gun is not huge nor is it small.I believe it is the proper size for an average man. this gun is not so light that its hard to aim and not so heavy that its a chore to pack around. It makes enough power to shoot threw a phone book and yet its extremely easy to cock. and it doesn't make any more noise than my least powerful gun and best of all it only cost a hundred and fifty bucks. you guys keep complaining I'm going off to make more bulls-eyes.
Pros:
everything

I was impressed at the quality of the hardwood stock; very nice detailing and finish for a gun in this price range. This is a serious weapon, definitely not a toy, or something I might give to a child. It's as heavy as a regular rifle, and takes a lot of muscle power to cock the spring. I was shooting one-inch groups at 20 yards within about 15 minutes of taking it out of the box. Again, I think this is pretty impressive for a gun in this price range.

Great Gun for the Money!
October 28, 2013
First Impression: Has the look and feel of a quality rifle. Nice walnut stock that could be customized to be a real beauty if desired. Gun is heavier than ideal at 8.2 lbs, looking to shave some weight off the stock, slim down pistol grip and change the clunky recoil pad with a nice butt plate. Looks like a great project, may eventually convert to gas ram. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to spend the time turning the Model 95 into a stunner. If you invest another $150, this is a $600 air rifle.
Pros:
Crazy Good Quality for $148 !!! Great Stock Nice Fit and Finish All the Power you Need Accurate
Cons:
Clunky Recoil Pad - Toss Worthless Scope - Toss Heavy - Get Gun Sling Clunky Front Sight - Replace with simple sight or quality muzzle break

Impressive!
September 7, 2013
Extremely pleased with the overall quality, feel, appearance, and functionality of this airgun. There is no point in my reiterating the features touted by the manufacturer, but instead lets get right to the heart of any gun, it's accuracy. Right away this gun shot quarter size groups at 25 yards so I started shooting 45 yards and was pleasantly surprised when it grouped 1 to 2 inches.. The power of this gun really showed off when I held dead on the target at 45 yards after zeroing at 25 yards. I then shot targets at 65 yards and still had 2 to 3 in. groups. I only held one and a half mills over at 65 yards. I have several airguns but nothing with the power of this one. It's accuracy is as good as my RWS 34 and it is more powerful. The gun was a little stiff when I first started shooting it but it soon began to limber up and cock smoothly.
Pros:
Scope slippage stop mounts built into dovetail mount on gun. Has a great trigger compared to other guns in this price range which isn't saying a lot after shooting several Crosman products.
Cons:
The 2nd stage trigger adjustment pull force could use improving since it was maxed out and was still too hard to pull to suit me. Initially I tried out the scope that came with the gun and it was pretty good for about 200 shots before it lost zero. I replaced it with a RWS 4x12x50 with AO and mil dots. and this improved the overall .shootability of the gun.

Good gun for money!!
August 4, 2013
I looked for a pellet gun for many months before I decided to get the Hatsan 95. I decided to upgrade from my Crosman Phantom 1000x (which is also a great gun) because I had it for many years and it was starting to lose power. The Hatsan 95 shots a .22 pellet at 800fps. That is amazing. I like to hunt and this will definitely get the job done. I also liked the walnut stock. It is gorgeous. I didn't see this in many guns unless they were over $300. The metal on the gun is German steel. Once again this is something you don't see in an airgun unless you pay $300. The trigger is also a main reason I bought this gun. I wanted a good trigger. Lastly, this gun has a shock absorbent system. This helps control the kick from the airgun. I did notice a few problems. The steel and wood doesn't seem to be glued all the way at the rear of the gun. It wobbles a bit. Also the scope rings included are useless. It took me 10 minuets to get them on the rail. After all of that, they mount sideways. Just buy another set of scope rings. All in all, this gun is worth the money. I would buy it.
Pros:
Trigger The trigger gives you a lot of control to customize it. It also breaks clean. Walnut stock This is a beautiful gun. You don't see walnut on guns unless you pay a lot of money. German steel This makes the gun feel well built. Power Accuracy The gun delivers hairsplitting accuracy.
Cons:
Shock absorbent system It doesn't seen to do too muck to keep the recoil down. Include scope It is worth about $20. Wish a better scope was included.

Feels expensive!
June 9, 2013
The first thought that crossed my mind was that someone made a mistake! This can't be a $150 air rifle! It is absolutely beautiful to look at and feels like a high quality rifle. It fires nice, and is VERY powerful! I have only fired a handful of pellets so far, so I can't rate the accuracy yet.
Pros:
Nice stock trigger, beautiful wood stock
Cons:
may be too heavy for smaller users

1st gun of this type
June 2, 2013
This is my first break action air gun. Takes a lot longer to load than my old Crossman pump, but it shoots a pellet way harder. It also looks/feels more real than the Crossman with the real wood. Certainly not a toy.
Pros:
Shoots cheap 22 pellets. Shoots fast for an air gun. Fairly quiet. Nice fit and finish.
Cons:
Heavy. You can't do a one pump shot to sting the trespassing animal - this thing will kill or maim for sure. Hard to break the action (maybe this isn't a con). Takes quite a bit of time to load between shots.

Hatsan 95 .25
April 19, 2013
I really love this gun. It reminds me of a WEATHERBY or a HIGH END REMINGTON BIG GAME RIFLE. Scary powerful ....
Pros:
Just beautiful craftsmanship and materials. It's incredibly accurate/powerful and probably should cost twice as much for this kind of quality. Smooth shooter. The SAS system must do something because it is really easy to shoot accurately, and the quatro trigger is perfect on my gun. It needed no adjustment whatsoever. Very dangerous .25 cal., not for kids.
Cons:
not one thing I would change

Awful expierence with this
April 8, 2013
When I got it, the truglo front barrel sight was glued sideways, and the rear sight was permanently crooked. I had to remove them hoping it would be worth voiding the warranty - I was wrong. The trigger guard constantly needs tightening. The scope, after breaking the rifle in unscoped lasted 10 shots before essentially exploding and launching the eyepiece into my eye. The stock screws were not matching, screwed so darn tight that one side was way off from the barrel. If you tried to loosen the screw the stock would crack. The recoil dampening system they speak of is garbage. The thing still kicks like a mule. Personally, I see hatsan arms as a careless builder. If you can look down the sights of a rifle and think that a front sight twisted sideways and a crooked rear sight is acceptable for $150, there's something seriously wrong with your company.
Pros:
Mildly accurate.
Cons:
Horrible construction Sights were useless Trigger guard is loose Stock screws are way too tight and mismatched Kick Scope is a serious hazard on this rifle

Outstanding quality
April 6, 2013
This is a shooter's gun, with a very nice stock, a fine trigger, and a design that's very well thought out. Out of the box, it's remarkably accurate. The scope is of decent quality too. For those who accuse it of being blurry and out of focus, a few minutes spent adjusting the objective (front) lens for the correct parallax will make all the difference regarding focus, and groupings. Replacing the scope rings would be a good move. There is a steel plate scope stop held by 2 screws. No more loose screws in the forestock either. There's a hefty bolt - with a locking screw - that runs through the stock. I find no faults with this rifle, and the quality far exceeds the price. Another happy owner, especially since I took advantage of the 'daily deal.'
Pros:
It doesn't seem to be pellet fussy, and it does like 14.3 gr. domed.

Very impressive air gun!
March 27, 2013
The Hatsan Model 95 is very reliable and accurate with open sights. Great knock down power and very consistent groupings. A very high quality air rifle at a reasonable cost. It%u2019s actually a very smooth shooter. This air rifle is so smooth, it%u2019s almost like shooting a pcp air rifle. Excellent for pest control or small game with the right ammo. Using Predator Polymags, this air rifle punched through a dime size hole into a half inch board from 25 yards out. Incredible power and a great hunting rifle. This is my 5th Hatsan air rifle and I love the reliability, quality, and accuracy of every one of them.
Pros:
High quality craftsmanship Consistently accurate Great knockdown power Beautiful wooden stock

Nothing but the best in .25 cal!!
January 18, 2013
The best all around air rifle you can buy. Build quality is EXCELLENT. Shoots smooth as silk. Using JSB Exact King Diablos chronied at 604-597 FPS, right out of the box. It can be cocked easily. I also have a Hatsan Torpedo 150 which is a beast to cock and you are worn out after 25 shots and it is only rated 100 fps faster. You can shoot the Hatsan 95 all day long and have a totally fun time. It makes for a fun plinker as well as a hunter/varmint remover. I lined up 4 empty vegetable cans side by side. Using Benjamin 25 cal pellets 27.8 grain at 45 feet, the pellets went through 3 cans entered the 4th, cracked the exit side and bounced to the bottom. I also have a nitro piston powered Venom and it does not shoot as smooth as the Hatsan 95, and it's only a 22 and it was the same price as the 95. The scope is not a bottom of the line product, but is quite good for a "combo offer."
Pros:
Smoooooth right out of the box. Easy to cock. Fantastic build quality for the price. Nice safety features. It is QUIET.
Cons:
The need to buy more pellets, a lot more pellets. It is that easy to cock and shoot.

Hatsan 95
October 7, 2012
Hard to break open and cock, I hope it gets easier. I fire about 200 pellets a day with my Crosman .22 break barrel. After firing 100 from the Hatson I got a bad blister between my thumb and index finger that is taking over a week to heal. I had to crack open the barrel by pushing against the bench with a rug but still dented the stock. The trigger pull is excellent as well as accuracy. I do not ever use the scope on any break barrel.
Pros:
Trigger and iron (plastic) sights. Stock is beautiful.
Cons:
Hard to break and cock, if I knew that before hand I wouldn't have bought it. It probably has a higher velocity than the Crosman but I don't need it.

first of all , if your buying based on looks, the picture is deceiving. the stock of this gun is dark brown , not the color in the photo. it is a walnut stock and walnut is dark wood. if you want a more accurate description of the stock look at the pic of the hatsan 135. this gun is built solid. its pretty darn heavy and shouldn't be bought for children it takes a lot of effort to break the barrel. it's a powerful piece of weaponry so it has a good bit of recoil for an airgun. if your looking for a low cost airgun for hunting look no further. it shot right through an inch and a half phone book with a 14.3 grain crossman premier hollow point so i'm sure it would destroy a bird ,squirrel or rabbits skull the scope that comes with it is garbage. a gun this nice deserves a better scope. i'd suggest the leapers 5th generation 3x12x40 with AO and mil dots. for only about $70.
Pros:
great price , even better when you catch it on sale. i got mine for $136 including shipping from airgunsdaily.com solid build powerful looks great nice trigger pull good iron sights if you don't use a scope
Cons:
the scope its heavy

HATSAN MOD 95

Great quality for the price, far better than the Chinese guns. Trigger and SAS system and the walnut stock are all well done. The scope is a little puny and so are the mounts however, it will go to good use on a Crosman pumper. Will make an LDC and custome muxzzle brake for it next. Thanks for the excellent pricing and service.
Pros:
Features such as adjustable trigger and very little plastic anywhere.
Cons:
A little too loud for neighbor friendly shooting, needs an LDC to make it quiet.
