Born in Iowa in 1907, Marion Mitchell Morrison would grow up to be an icon of American cinema. Starting out in small roles and working as a prop boy, it wasn't until 1930, when he was cast as the lead in The Big Trail that he would come to be known by his stage name, John Wayne. Becoming one of the biggest names in Hollywood, John typified the role of the old west gunslinger and was seldom seen on screen with out a Peacemaker on his hip. In celebration of The Duke's legacy, Air Venturi in partnership with John Wayne Enterprises has introduced the John Wayne "Duke" Signature Edition Colt Peacemaker. Straight off the silver screen and into your hands, the John Wayne "Duke" Signature Series Peacemaker is a must have for any fan. This quality replica pistols comes in a blued finish and features a commemorative medallion inlaid in the grips as well as John Wayne's signature on the back strap. This pistol shoots .177 cal pellets and is powered by standard co2 canisters. Whether you're reliving childhood memories, teaching the next generation of shooters, or just looking for a nice display piece, the John Wayne Signature Series Peacemaker is a must have for any wild west aficionado!

This is darn close to the real thing in weight and looks. I was about to buy the BB version but was glad I waited for the pellet version I've enjoyed shooting it with my grandsons in the backyard now they want their own. so I think i'll be getting two more for Christmas. This is well worth the money, and would suggest you buy the holster and belt to go with it.

Pros
Great gun

I am a member of the Single Action Shooting Society (S.A.S.S) and compete with rimfire and centerfire firearms in Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS). I purchased a pair of the blued John Wayne Colt Peacemaker Pellet Revolvers to get a little trigger-time in the backyard or basement during the off season. The form, fit and function of these pistols is an authentic reproduction of the Colt SAA. They are even etched with the original Colt Patent date of September 18, 1871. The bluing is deep and they are absolutely a gorgeous pistols to hold in your hand. Excellent weight and balance with a nice crisp trigger. I am shooting steel targets outside at about 5 yards, and they are accurate and butter smooth to operate. I am glad that I waited for the pellet version to be released, as the lead pellets collapse upon impact with the targets, and fall straight down. I purchased extra cartridges (although overpriced, IMO) and they fit nicely into a 357 Magnum ammo box for storage and for use as a pellet loading tray. I am using an MTM Case-Gard J-50 Slip-Top Ammo Box with the round holes. The John Wayne photos and graphics on the box adds a nice touch to the Western flair and overall presentation of the pistol as well. However, there is an error printed on the box and in the owner's manual which specifies that the barrel is Smooth Bore, when in fact, the pellet version has a Rifled Bore. The John Wayne Colt Peacemaker Pellet Revolvers are inexpensive to feed as well. I get between 80 and 90 shots out of a Crosman 12 gram CO2 cartridge, so you're not going to bust your wallet enjoying these fine pistols whether target shooting or just plinking. Umarex hit a Grand Slam, out of the park, with the release of these pistols!

Pros
Authentically reproduced Excellent quality, through and through Accurate Smooth operation Economical to shoot Just a lot of fun to shoot and practice with!

Cons
Since I ordered a pair, was hoping to get a set of consecutive serial numbers, but that didn’t happen. Specification errors printed on the box and owner's manual.
