This bad boy will fire 12 BB's as fast as you can pull the double action trigger! It will also fire single shot Pellets through it's rifled steel barrel for accuracy shots. This is one of the most popular pistols we carry and now with the long awaited laser sight with Pressure Switch. The easy to use top loading design has been very popular with our customers. The Gamo P-23 can reach muzzle velocities of up to 400 feet per second. This pistol is designed for use with Bb's lead pellets.

I just got a used P-23 on amazon. It still has all the power of a new one and has no problems other than a rear sight that likes to wander around the gun when firing, which makes accuracy totally impossible for a distance shot. It is an excellent gun for short range when you are getting up close and personal with a target small game and you release a barage of steel in seconds effectively killing a large rat, or finishing off a mortally wounded larger critter shot with my gamo whisper at medium range. I have a more powerful pistol that fires at 480 fps, a daisy, but I like the style and feel of the P-23 The single shot pellet feature is an excellent plus with a raptor in it for completing the mortal shot on game to make sure it's dead before you pick it up. I experienced no jaming on pellets or bb's and like the fact that it is a rifled steel barrel instead of a smooth bore usually found in a bb gun. This goes a long way with getting the shot to fly straight and true. Overall it's a nice gun, I just wish for a bit more power. That's the only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5.
not such a great gun

I bought this gun 4 years ago and it was a great gun for the first 2 years but i started having problems. The gun seems to have 1 or 2 misfires on every 12 rounds. recently i tyook it out to go shoot some targets and the seal that keeps the co2 from leaking is completely worn out ( i havent put that much use into the gun) so now it leaks when the co2 is in. my daisy 693 has outlasted this gun by 3 years and was always more powerful.

When I first got my P23 I wished I would have got the laser sight too. I was impressed with the power this pistol had, like that of a rifle. The Crows didn't seem to mind it much either, they never heard it coming before they were hit. For Pest control, it's great, takes our most critters smaller than a coon, and birds like crows and Blue Jays can drop up to 20 yards. All in all I am impressed with the size and power. I had a O ring problems off and on with the CO2 cylinders, they mis-align from time to time when you tighten the CO2 to tight and it leaks a cylinder out in a matter of hours. Thats the only problem I have had, but over all, I love my P23.
