Crosman has a refurbished sticker on these but they
are actually brand new guns that have never been used. The packaging was damaged
and the guns were sent back to Crosman. Crosman inspects each one and repackages
them in a new box. These come with a 30 Day factory warranty. This is a great
deal on a open box M4 that have never been fired.
Looks and feels like an M4 firearm. Shoots either BBs or pellets, so you can use whatever ammo you've got on hand. Since it's a multi-pump, you can pump it up to 10 times to get higher velocities or less if you'd like to do some easy all-day shooting. Get extra clips (same ones used by the Crosman 760 Pumpmaster) and load up so you don't have to interrupt your range time with a lot of reloading.
When you shoot steel BBs, do not shoot at hard objects or water. The BBs will ricochet! No matter what ammo you're using, remember to wear safety glasses. Everyone in the vicinity of the range should wear safety glasses, even if they're not shooting.

Performs well, but..

I definitely have some complaints. I would have like to have seen more functionality for the magazine and have seen a full RIS/Weaver style rail system. It's kind of cheap feeling, which is ok considering the price. If you're going to make the first m4 BB gun, do it better. I noticed that Crosman remedied the problems I have with this rifle with the m16 break barrel that's coming out. I hope to see improvements.
Pros:Accurate Easy to pump FunCons:Cheap feel Mag does nothing Non-functioning parts No full RIS |

This is an excellent rifle. It is accurate and very light. I like the adjustable stock and the removable sights. It is good for target practice or taking done small rodents. I like the power of this rifle. It feels like you're shooting a real gun. I like how you can store your extra magazines in the magazine on the rifle.
Pros:Lightweight Very accurate Holds lots of BB's Has 5 shot magazine for pelletsCons:Nothing |

Nice looking plinker

This gun is a lot of fun. My son loves this thing. We set up metal zombie targets and used this rifle for hours with no problems. We added a cheap Walther red dot sight which makes the gun look even better. Very cheap target shooting. We have only used this as a pellet gun so far but it has been a worthy purchase. Air gun depot has a very quick turnaround and I will be buying other items from this site in the future.
Pros:Looks and performs great.Cons:Nothing to complain about for the money. |

Well Made Rifle
December 16, 2012
![]()
A very well made air rifle. Yes, it is plastic. However, the plastic parts are durable and machined well with no sharp edges or burrs to be seen, felt, or present. The rifle is light weight but has extra weights in the handle to allow for great balance and very fast target aquisition. The factory sites are adequate to 40 feet or so. Beyond 40 feet accuracy in multi shot groups drops off as one would expect with a platform of this type. The factory sights are rough, and do require practice and adjustment and will vary between ammo type including different styles or manufacturer BB's. Find a round you want to use and dial it in for your intended use. RWS Super Point is very accurate with a 5 shot group at 40 yards that you can cover with a dime from a bench rest position. Pellets are definitely better ammo for this rifle if you are looking for accuracy at a distance. Crossman Copperhead BB's performed best with best 5 shot group at 25 ft. after 25 ft all BB's began to wander.
I like the look and feel of this rifle. I believe that if it is treated with the respect due all firearms, it will provide years of service and reliability. The photos shown here do not do it justice. Refer to U Tube for some really excellent tests and evaluations.
Pros:Lets face it, the look is what catches you. Once you hold one the feel will get you. Shoot it and take you time to dial it in for the ammo you are using and you will have a winner.Cons:None that I have found as yet. It will be interesting to see if this develops into a .22 cal. or into a semi Auto version in the future |

this gun is excellent for your little ones who want a gun like dads.

Wow was my 10 year old ecstatic to see he had a gun like dads. He could hold it and balance by him self. It's great because I can shoot it with him. Yes, it's a poly carbonate gun but very well made. Shoots very straight, with two pumps or ten.
Pros:Price. Able to opt out using rails. Light enough for little guys, but a very durable feel. Great barrel for a lower line gun. |

Absolutely love this rifle. Great long distance accuracy and tons of power. Really fun gun for target shooting as well as small varmint plinking. Would highly recommend for price, looks, quality, and accuracy. You would never know it was a "refurbished" air gun.
Pros:Deliberate shooting actionCons:Nothing yet |

Great Value

Lots of fun to be had with this refurb. As someone said, it feels like shooting a musket. You have to pump it, pull the slide back, move the pellet holder in, and push the slide in. There is something comforting about having to be deliberate in preparing the shot. I like it. Very accurate with both pellets and BB's.
Pros:Price, looks, and easy to handle.Cons:Does feel a little "plasticky." |

Fun but delicate
September 30, 2012

I purchased this gun and have enjoyed the crap out of it. After about 4 to 5 months the stock broke. The air gun is still fully functional but is a little less accurate. I would recommend buying a scope or a red dot because the sights are some what awkward but still a very nice weapon. It will easily tear through beer cans soda bottles and yes, rats.
Pros:The gun is very powerful at 650 fps. It is pretty accurate even when pumped to 10. I also like how it shoots pellets and BB's. Over all great product for great price.Cons:Do NOT put the stock between your legs when pumping it, the stock will break. Also be gentle when removing the pellet clip it will also break. If used gently it will serve you hours of target, beer can and rat massacre fun. |

Refurb Crosman M4-177
September 28, 2012
![]()
Just got mine in the mail. It came without the sights attached, which is ok because I put a scope on instead. I sighted in the scope (Bushnell 4XBanner) using BB's and a two inch circle target set about 13-14 yards away. After adjusting the scope, I was able to hit the target on ten of ten shots. I am hoping that it will be more accurate with pellets. It pumps very well and wasn't as "plasticy" looking as I thought it would be.
Pros:Good price and fairly accurate. |

Great Deal
August 29, 2012

I have put 500 pellets through it in a couple days since I got it with no problems. With 5 pumps, at 20-25 yards, it goes through a plastic shampoo bottle and buries the pellet in plywood. For the price it's great fun. Be kind to it and it should last a long time.
Pros:Everything but the sights are little hard to get dialed.Cons:It's a little big for my granddaughter but she'll grow into it. The sights are a little awkward, it needs lots of clips. |

The M4- .177 is an alright gun. It's a good size and easy to pump. I like the fact that it shoots both pellets and BB's. The adjustable stock is perfect for big guys, like me. The picatinny rail allows for a diverse range of attachments. Although, the whole gun is plastic, and the sights are a bit awkward, but if you aren't abusing it too much (like using it for a backyard plinking) and if you have a red dot or put forth the time to get used to the sights, it's a done deal.
Pros:Good sized Adjustable stock Easy pump Picatinny RailCons:Almost all plastic Awkward sights Strange to reload |

Answer:
i cant say for sure cause i dont own it Yet but from past knowledge and common sense it should last a few years considering that you dont keep the seal under pressure(pumping it up and leaving the air in it) so its ready to fire. but ill try and leave another message further down the line i get mine in 3 days
