refurbished crosman titan
October 9, 2016
loved the stock. was very accurate until it started to cock easily and dropped in pressure and finally died. Thankfully it did this a month before the warranty was over and Crossman replaced it. Unfortunately the new one is inconsistent at fifty feet. May need to be broken in but having too much fun with my disco and hatsan pcp rifles.

This gun is very accurate, very quiet, super fast and powerful. I have bought many of this particular model just to have in my collection. Just an all around great gun to have. My go to gun. love the thumb hole stock very comfortable, makes the gun feel lighter than it actually is. A must have air gun for everyone. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

I received my Air Rifle two days before the scheduled delivery date so that impressed me right from the start. I thought the first time I cocked the rifle that maybe I needed to do some bicep curls. Man this thing cocked hard. It got a little easier after that but still need to put it over my knee. I fired about 10 pellets through it and could not get it to zero. It keeps shooting left. Nice grouping but 2 inches left. Even after I had dialed the windage knob nearly out. I just got another scope mounted but have yet to try it. Maybe I'll do an update after I try it. All in all the gun looks brand new and would have believed it was had it not been for the sticker that said "refurbished". Sure shoots strong though. I really like it and believe it to be a considerable value in my opinion.
Looks Like New!!
A little hard to cock for an old geezer like me.

Be sure and ust the right pellets!
March 15, 2016
About two years ago I bought a Ruger Blackhawk, .177, and it came with a 4x32 scope. I read all the reviews before I bought it and was aware it would take some time and a lot of shots before it “settled down” and became accurate. Also, every review stated that the scope was “junk.” I put over 200 rounds through it and still couldn’t hit a target. No accuracy what so ever and I agreed, the scope was worthless. So I recently bought a Benjamin Titan NP, .177 and it came with a 4x32 scope. Same story as with the Ruger. After over 100 shots, no accuracy at all and if anything, it was getting worse. I couldn’t see through the scope very well and it didn’t come with instructions. I decided I had nothing to lose so I broke loose the retaining ring and adjusted the focal length, and locked the ring back down. Wow, I could now see through the scope! but still couldn't put two shots in the same place. After reading numerous reviews, I decided to try using different pellets. I had tried 3 different brands of pellets but thought trying another couldn’t hurt. The weight of the pellets I had been using was not marked on the container, so I made sure to get the heavier pellets and bought Premier Ultra Magnum, 10.5 gr. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! After about 10 shots I was able to get the scope sighted and was grouping shots within one inch. It took about another 15 shots to get the scope fine tuned and was hitting bulls eye’s consistently. I still can hardly believe what a difference the heavier pellets made. So, I got the Ruger out and tried it with the 10.5gr pellets. First, I adjusted the focal length on the scope and what a difference it makes when you can see the target clearly. It took about 25 shots to get the scope sighted and then another 25 to get it fine tuned. Now it shoots dead center every time. I am absolutely amazed at the complete difference the 10.5gr pellets and adjusting the scopes made.
Fantastic buy for the price. Very accurate with 10.5gr pellets.
Trigger pull - I watched a You-Tube video and reworked mine. Now it's fine. The finish on the stock was marred so I refinished it and it looks fine - It was a refurbished gun so I wasn't expecting it to be perfect.

A Great Buy!
May 31, 2015
This is one of the best Buy's I have come across in a long time. Gun shoots very well right out of the box. Mounted the scope and was hitting tin cans standing upright or laying down from 25 yards. Very impressed with fit and finish and incredibly impressed with the trigger, smooth and crisp. The trigger is also adjustable, but I doubt I will need too. Give it a try, you will like it.

Benjamin Titan Nitro - FIrst Look
May 11, 2015
I purchased this rifle as a possible solution for an increasing population of critters in our yard. It was my first experience with a rifle with this level of power. Although it is a refurbished model, I only found one small ding on the stock. Prior to ordering I went over the specifications and noted that it required 31 lbs of pressure to cock this model. It also needed a bit of force to break the barrel so it can be cocked. Since I am not a young man any more I was a bit concerned with these factors, but decided to take a chance anyhow. My fears quickly vanished. The first few times I used the rifle, depressing the barrel to cock it was a bit tough. Likewise, restoring the barrel to the closed position requires a little effort. However, the more I use it, the easier these actions become as the parts break in. I do not believe this will be a problem as long as I am careful closing the barrel; you can pinch flesh if you are not careful and I suspect that would be rather painful. This is my first experience with a rifle that has this much power and I was uncertain what to expect. The first time I fired it, I was shocked by the recoil. It was not significant, but it was definitely noticeable. The next awakening came with the pellet velocity. The specifications say it can produce up to 1200 FPS with a high-velocity pellet. I am still using regular pellets but the manual says velocity will increase after the recommended break-in period (around 100 shots) This must be true. The first shot passed throuigh the target materials (paper and cardboard) and was embedded in a 1/4 inch plywood sheet I was using as a backstop at a distance of about 30 yards. Subsequent shots no longer are stopped by the backstop; they pass clean through. I do not think power will be an issue (I can't wait to try some high-velocity pellets. All in all I am happy with my purchase and expect a long and useful life.
High power provides accuracy and range. This model shipped with a scope included.
This is a single shot rifle, and I would have much preferred a magazine. You must be careful after cocking the rifle when the barrel ts placed back in position; there is a potential to pinch flesh if you are not careful. The high power this rifle offers is offset by the fact that it can loosen mounting hardware and attachments (like the scope). It is a good idea to check for secure attachments prior to a shooting session. The rifle is a bit hefty and requires a good firing stance or a fixed support to maintain accuracy.

Excellent value
August 19, 2014
You'd have a tough time beating this deal. My first one is maybe two years old now and I upgraded it with a Trail barrel for added quiet. A little tuning and it hits 19ftlbs in .177. Some mods to the trigger and it's perfect. The scope is fine, but I'm sure some people will want to upgrade it. The 5 stars is my rating for the $, of course a $500+ gun will be better.
Price, looks, power, quiet. Crosman/Benj referbs are excellent, all the ones I've seen were like new except for a small "R" on the barrel to ID it as a referb.
The trigger as usual for Crosman, but fixable. Other misc problems are no different than any other gun in its class.

Should have bought new
October 19, 2013
Recently I purchased a refurbish Titan from AIRGUNSDAILY.COM The gun arrived and appeared in fine shape, until about 150 shots later. The cocking cycle began grinding heavily, 2 separate times the barrel became stuck and I had to restart the cocking cycle. So I sent it back to Crosman's warranty department, and in less than 2 weeks a BRAND NEW rifle arrived at home!!! I was disgusted with the first rifle, the new one I'm still breaking in but is a worlds difference between the two. Accuracy is on par with the price. And the cocking cycle is definitely smoother. I would recommend this rifle to anyone wanting a small game gun without spending a fortune. I also LOVE the gas piston! Compared to a Gamo Bone Collector (With full heavy barrel) the noise level is the same.
Weight (I prefer a heavier gun) Accuracy Thumbhole stock
Trigger is long, heavy, and horrible. Stock scope (Center point) is junk.

Best deal out there

The price is amazing for what you get, and you get a pretty cool gun. It's got power, it's quiet, fit and finish are good. It's basically like a base model Trail, same power but less frills and much cheaper. The trigger is of course the same as all the Crosman break barrel guns, but fixable in a variety of ways.
