The Refurbished S&W M&P (military & police) R8 looks & feels like the firearm it copies. If you use airguns to maintain proficiency with handguns, you'll want to get this gun! If you enjoy shooting revolver air guns, you've probably noticed that there aren't that many of them. If you're looking for your first revolver, this would be an ideal one to get. The price is well below what you'd pay for most other models, and is inexpensive to shoot because it uses steel BBs instead of lead pellets. Buy remanufactured and save money!

This was the second refurbished gun I have bought, arrived well packed as they are from Airgun Depot, but whoever does the refurbishing had left the co2 in it and it was still operating, secondly it was not operating properly, on double action the cylinder would not revolve to line up for the next shot sometimes. if I cocked the hammer no problems. It shoots good and has a good feel to it and the grand kids still enjoy pulling back the hammer and let fly. I will let the fault develop before taking in to get fixed as the cost of postage to send it back and get repaired under warranty ain't worth it and even if it costs me another NZ $50.00 to get fixed it will still make a cheap air pistol here in NZ.
Pros:Weight, feel, accuracy (when sighted in).Cons:Only what I already stated which is neither a design fault or a fault of AIrgun depot as they do not refurbish/repairs air guns. |

Good feeling gun, however there is a lot of plastic. Gun is pretty accurate at close range and peppers them off as fast as you can pull the trigger with no rejects. My refurb came in good shape with no visible scratches and everything on the gun works as it should. I really like the look of this revolver and have enjoyed it very much since purchase. Airgun Depot service A+!!!
Pros:- Good durable construction - co2 fits tight - accurate - feels good fits a big hand - good action - pica tinny rail for mounting - tactical lookCons:-Cheap sights - Lots of plastic - would like a little more fps : ( |

If you want to train on something to simulate any of a range of S&W revolvers this is a great choice. The action functions just like a standard revolver ie pull the trigger for double action (pretty good trigger action) or pull back the hammer and then pull the trigger for single action. (A little stiff for single action but still not bad and way better than a double action only trigger) My only real quibble with the gun is the rear sight which is the old V style plate which is not the best for my 60 year old eyes but if you point it right it is very accurate and gets at least 80 accurate rounds from one co2 cartridge which seems pretty good to me for a revolver.
The description does not mention that it takes a removable magazine which is a pretty good design in my opinion. It comes out of the cylinder as a plate and loads back in very much like the speed loader for my old S&W 357. I really wish I had known so I could order an extra 'magazine' or two for this gun. The co2 loading system is excellent. (Hidden inside a hinged cover on the grip with a proper button release) The only thing holding me back from giving a full 5 star rating is the rear sight which I must admit is a bit unfair because it is consistent with what the gun is supposed to represent.
Pros:Accurate. Very realistic action. 80+ rounds on a co2 cartridge. Well made solid construction. Action true to the model gun it represents.Cons:rear V style sight. |
