Description:
Now you can own one air rifle but shoot both .177 and .22 caliber pellets! The Mendoza RM-2003 is an innovative, multi-caliber design that provides almost unlimited flexibility to match the type of shooting you want to do. Comes complete with two, interchangeable barrels that can be switched back and forth in just ten seconds without tools. The RM-2003 is a full-size, adult air rifle that provides outstanding velocity and accuracy. The RM-2003 is proudly manufactured in Mexico by Productos Mendoza, which has been a family-owned air rifle manufacturer for over 90 years.

The RM-2003 incorporates features like walnut stained hardwood stock, non-slip rubber butt pad, micrometer click-adjustable rear sights with fiber optic dot inserts, blade post front sight with fiber optic insert and sight hood, visible cocked indicator and easy-to-reach manual safety. Plus you'll get smashing velocities of up to 1,000 fps in .177 and 850 fps in .22 caliber.

If you're looking for the enhanced accuracy that a scope brings to air powered shooting the Mendoza RM-2003 receiver comes from the factory with a machined dovetail that accepts most 11mm air rifle scope mounts. The exclusive Mendoza Dual Safety Trigger sets a new standard in shooting safety and refined trigger pull. This fantastic, non-adjustable, dual stage trigger breaks cleanly at 2.5 lbs. so you can concentrate on the important aspects of accuracy and not on a difficult, heavy trigger pull.

I ordered this air rifle, as a Hammerli X2 from AGD. Bought it as a re-furb and was delighted to get basically a brand new gun for a ridiculously low price. I am a Mendoza fan. Wood and metal except for one part. If you are having accuracy problems, then it's not the rifle. Its the pellet you are using or something else like loose screws or messed up sights. I have an el cheapo 4x32 in mine and it is SUPER ACCURATE! With the .177 barrel, you can get nickel size groups at 30 yards using RWS 8.3gr dome pellets. Want a heavier pellet, try the AA Field pellet at 10.334grs. The only pellet in .22 caliber I have tried is the Crossman HP at 14.3 grs and it is dead on. I intend to try more.

Pros
Looks, wood, metal and the trigger. It's a very good looking rifle cause of the fact that it is sculptered. It doesn't have a Chinese stock!! It is not hold sensitive as a lot of springers are. Its powerful in both calibers and will take anything down within it's caliber capability. I only have one other rifle that is more accurate than this one, yes, it's another Mendoza. An RM-200, but the 2003 rifle has a lot more power. Of the air rifles I have, this is the only one that will group nicely with the light alloy pellets. It won.t quite send them into compressability...that's good. It's pretty quite for a large powerful springer. You will not be disappointed with this air rifle.....it's a winner!

Cons
For the price, I guess I am going to have to get another one. Darn.

Once I fitted this rifle with a bug buster scope, it took about 7 shots to zero. I, and a couple friends, were shooting little blue wirenuts at 20 yards, all night long. Used RWS hollow point .22 cal. This gun is a blast.

i havent got ther accuracy i was looking for out of the 22 cal. i havent had the chance to try different weight pellets but im not satisfied with the accuracy at all. i couldnt zero the gun in with the factory sights the gun was so out of zero,so i purchased a nice scope and it had the zeroing range to correct it but the gun didnt show the consistancy it should have, and i was only zeroing it at 15 yards. this type of gun should be able to shoot fleas off of flies at 15 yards.
