The Ruger Mark I shoots .177 cal. alloy pellets at 600 fps. This break barrel
pistol also features a contoured grip, a spring piston and a rifled barrel. The
pistol is very easy to cock with the included cocking assist handle which can
be left on while shooting. This is a very nice pistol for the price. We spent
some time with it on our range and were pleasantly surprised with how the pistol
performed. The pistol feels very good in your hand and the weight is just about
right. You can plink for a long time without getting tired. You can also mount
a scope or red dot on this pistol as it has dovetail rails on it. We did notice
a lot of excess oil in the barrel so we recommend you clean the barrel before
shooting.
Please note: As with any airgun we recommend a cleaning kit to remove the excess oil from the barrel before shooting. A kit is available when you click the 'Add To Cart' button.

The ONLY airgun I wish I'd never purchased
August 17, 2012
![]()
I have over 20 air guns, all of which are relatively inexpensive and many of which are refurbs and have required TLC. I say this so that you understand that I don't mind working with a gun to get it shooting right. I bought my Mark I new at a different store and I have never been able to hit anything accurately with it no matter what I do to it. I tyried scopes and adjusting the sights and tuning it and finally just gave up and took it apart for potential parts gun for other things. Biggest waste of time ever. This is only AG I have ever regretted getting.
Pros:NothingCons:everything |

Really nice, well balanced pellet popper, I can use it on tin cans all day and am never left unsatisfied. It has a strong spring, so get used to that, but for the price, there is none finer than this.
Pros:Accurate Strong, Simple to useCons:I wish I had more of these ! |

Rugged and accurate

One advantage, other than the low price, of buying a refurbished gun is, instead of a clam shell, it comes in a nice box for storage. I installed a red dot sight on mine, and after cleaning the bore with dry patches, I was shooting tight groups. It did diesel for a while. There is a trigger travel adjustment just in front of the trigger. I screwed it down until it was tight, though I'd appreciate a few more turns. If there's anything standing in the way of accuracy, it's the trigger; it's smooth, and breaks nicely, but it takes a bit of effort to pull it back. I'm hoping it gets easier with use. This pistol is well made, and the grip assembly, held by 3 screws, is made from a sturdy plastic. The safety is not automatic, which I enjoy. It doesn't seem to be fussy about pellets, shooting consistently regardless of what I use. The cocking aid fits tight to the muzzle, which favors leaving it in place while shooting. All in all, it's a fine, fun pistol to shoot. The one I received looks brand new.

Decent gun, Clean it.

I got it new from Walmart. Two of them broke on me. This was when it first came out I have since bought my brother in law one. I had accuracy issues the brother in law shoots it same hole on the paper over and over so it will do as much as you can make it do at 30 feet. It has a bit of power and a decent kick. Clean it well. I clean both of mine (mine and the one I gave as a gift). They were filled with some light machine oil and even with cleaning dieseling was unavoidable.
Pros:Power Price AccuracyCons:Clean it. |

Ruger Refurbished Air Pistol

I ran out of elevation on the rear sight. I am at the end of the threads to raise the rear sight. The glow dots are pointing down at a 45 degree angle. I have to aim 1 1/2 - 2" up to hit the target at 10 meters. The front sight is too high for the rear sight and there is no more elevation adjustment that can be dialed in.
Pros:Price and quality.Cons:Sights and adjustment are not quality |

Great Price For A Powerful Air Pistol
May 2, 2012
![]()
I have been very happy with this break barrel air pistol right out of the box. I shot close to 100 shots with it the day I received it. I have an indoor airgun range in my garage and an outdoor range with shooting stations at 10, 20, 30, and 100 feet. This pistol is extremely accurate at 100 feet using the open sights or a red dot scope. I have had the pistol for a couple of weeks now and have shot another 300+ shots with it. A great plinker - No problems at all, just fun-fun-fun!
Pros:Nice power. It destroys any small breakable targets-bottle caps, cans, plastic action figures. Just plain fun to shoot.Cons:Not really a dislike, because I like the power generated by the spring - but the recoil is quite strong. If you put a sight or scope on it, make sure it is designed to take the strong recoil. |

Great high powered pistol, fantastic price, 3/8" dovetail allows for scope, sights come with it are fiber optic and very easy to see and adjust. well balanced pistol. Great for target shooting or for plinking.
Pros:Great quality air gun at a fantastic price. I am considering buying another of the same model.Cons:strong kick, doesn't bother me, can be a little jarring at first. |

Hummmmm...

I just got this today and ran about 100rds through it. The rear sight leaves a lot to be desired and the screws all need to be tightened and have locktite on them.
The weight is pretty good as is the balance. I managed to hit soda cans at about 12 yards and I think with a decent red dot or scope it would do much better. Cocking effort is avarage for a break barrel gun and the cocking aid really helps.
Pros:Balance, weight, shoots hard. price seems ok for plinkingCons:Long, heavy, trigger pull with a lot of creep. Rear sight leaves a LOT to be desired Screws HAVE GOT to be tightened and have locktite, they come loose extremely easy. |

Refurbished Ruger Mark l air pistol .177 cal- 600 fps

This pistol is fun to shoot. My friends where surprised as will. easy to cock and load rounds. Good power for hand spring gun. The only issue was the rear site adjustment. We ran out of travel on the windage adjustment. Easy fix was to install a BSA red dot. Took 5 shot to lock in the red dot site.
Pros:Lots of fun to shoot. Don't have to mess with CO2 cartridges.Cons:Rear site adjustment. Had replace it with BSA red dot. |

Good air-pistol for the price

This pistol has the same problem all cheaper air guns have. The trigger is really bad. It's 2 stage too and takes some getting used to. There is a screw to adjust the first stage but it really isn't long enough to provide much of a difference. This gun is accurate, pretty powerful, and has good range, but the trigger pull is crazy long. I'd describe it's loudness as "medium".
Pros:Short Barrel Accuracy Decent PowerCons:Cocking the short barrel. The extension it comes with is cumbersome, no where to put it when shooting and easy to forget to take off. The trigger pull is crazy long. |
