S&W 6866 CO2 revolver

I have 18 CO2 air pistols and revolvers: this is by far the best, both in terms of its realistic weight, heft, appearance and accuracy. It must have a red dot sight or scope to achieve the accuracy it is capable of. Using R10 pistol pellets at 15 feet I place all shots in a one inch group - better shooters than I am might improve on that. I have not yet tried it at a 10 Meter distance. Nor have I tried lighter pellets. I get about 40 shots on a CO2 capsule .. then power drops off radically. In my book, that is just fine. I bought this refurbished, not only to save a few bucks but on the theory that whatever caused its return has been fixed (so it won't happen to me).
So far so good ...
Pros:Just an outstanding CO2 revolver, more accurate than my equally costly Umarex/Colt 45 clone. Buy the appropriate rail to mount a scope or red dot. Note: skip the $20 red dots .. they are junk. I put a Center Point "tube type" Red Dot (about $60) on it, and so far have no complaints about the sight. Excellent grips, very good fit and finish.Cons:No dislikes. |
