Always wear your glasses. Always.

Pros
Great fun to shoot. Reasonably accurate. Co2 lasted longer than I expected. Kid thinks it looks cool. Light enough for comfort.

Cons
Used for half a day. About 14 co2 cartridges (7 changes). Next day ran 1 set of co2. Next set it leaked . Bad seal in cartridge clip I think. Only lasted half a day. Disappointed kid and dad. Other than that it was a blast. Ordering something different . AGD customer service was top notch when I called. Sorry I had to call though. Would have given it a 5 if it had lasted a year.

Be honest I love the accuracy with power the whole thing is fun and awesome. I actually bought four of these I like him so much same issue trigger failed every time I even baby them then over oil Captain clean and still has failed. Suggestion to Umarex beef up the harder plastic shell more beasts trigger mechanism Etc and you'd have a great I would definitely be on board just need some rework that's all. Until then please give us how to fix this problem if it's replacing spring Auto Parts please give us some feedback the ones we have incapacitated.

Pros
Accuracy fun easy to use.

Cons
Trigger mechanism leave you hanging little too plasticky .

Ive owned three of the Steel Force airguns, bought my two boys and myself one. All three quit working within 2-3 months, just wouldn't fire anymore. I suspect something to do with the cheap cast internals and trigger design. I'm disappointed with the junk quality. Went out and bought a Crossman break barrel which is top notch quality imo. But I applaud Umarex for at least attempting something cool. Was a blast the very short time it lasted.

Ok where to start with I had big fun with this til it stopped working after less than 4000 shots sent it back to umerex got another and lo and behold the exact same failure before 4000 shots you could no longer charge the gun period very disappointed with this cause it so so much fun while it worked it's the kind of thing if you bought your kid this for Christmas by the first week of January your done no durability at all what a shame this happened to BOTH of them

Pros
Very fun while it was working

Cons
Both samples I had failed before I got thru the 4000ct bottle of BBs

I was getting ready to check out when I saw this for $109. Yep, add to cart. What a blast!!

Pros
300 BB reservoir, two co2's go a long way with mine. Six-shot bursts are really cool.

Cons
Sometimes it seems difficult to reload from the reservoir quickly. I'm trying to find the best "angle" to shake the bb's in.

Only put a few hundred rounds through it but it is fun. I don't care for the fixed sights so I added a green laser and sighted it in today. Thought I had a issue today as it went into auto 6 shot mode while set on single but then realized it was very low on air pressure. 2 new cartridges and all is well. Since it holds ~300 bb's I measure out by weight and store them in some old prescription bottles. Also made a funnel out of one which makes re-loading a breeze.

Pros
I like the single shot for most of the time but it's still nice to use the 6 shot auto mode now and then. Since it's only 6 shots it wont break the bank (and have to reload too often)

Cons
Like I said earlier, not crazy about the fixed sights as they are off a bit. You have to get use to 'Kentucky windage' to use them.

This little jewel from Umarex is a piece of junk. After only a hand full of c02 canisters the gun took a total sh%t. I am very happy with the customer service at Air Gun Depot for dealing with my issue so fast.

Pros
Accurate

Cons
Total sh%t after a hand full of c02 canisters.

How are the CO2s loaded into the magazine? I've only bought one air rifle before this and it had a CO2 mag that led to a lot of leakage when you put the canisters in.

asked Christian from USA

Here is the manual. https://www.pyramydair.com/airgun-resources/manuals/py-3105-manual.pdf. CO2 loading is explained.

Are any parts off of the umarex steel force changeable with the umarex EBOS. IS THERE A SCOPE AND GREEN DOT THAT FITS BOTH. WHAT ABOUT MAGIZINES AND OR EXTRA BB HOLDER FOR THE EBOS.

asked Derrick from USA

The description says it feeds pellets but then says bbs witch is it?

asked Rolando from USA

This gun fires .177 caliber BB's, sorry for the typo, I have gone a head and corrected that. Thanks for your question!

Scott from USA

Is there magazines that you can buy that don't come with the gun

asked ryan vernon

Yes, there is a possibility, you can buy the CO2 magazines for the steel storm, Airgun Depot does sell them. these are exactly the same, only the plastic covers are different, but they can be changed with only two little screws. I leave the two screws off, so i can change an empty magazine quickly with a full one by sliding it in the plastic cover. So the CO2 change is much quicker. You even can buy the steel storm bulk air kit and use bulk CO2 or HPA, that's how I use it mostly.

Does this weapon fire metal .177 cal. Bb 4.5 mm bbs like the daisy bb guns ?

asked robert

it shoots .177 daisy.just figured it out :]

will

I just bought this air rifle and I love it. It is a very loud gun though. If I buy a compensator off this site will I be able to mount it on the Umarex steel force?

asked RYAN

Suppressors are legal for air guns as long as they cannot be fitted to a firearm.

Doug

Suppressors are legal for air guns as long as they cannot be fitted to a firearm.

Doug

Under federal law, only guns that use explosive propellants are considered to be firearms. Therefore, air guns, of any kind, are NOT firearms, and many come factory stock with built in suppressors.

ashley

Under federal law, a gun is only a firearm if it uses an explosive propellant. Therefore, air guns are NOT firearms, and many are produced with built in suppressors so as not to scare your neighbors. Suppress any air gun you like however you like.

Ashley

Under federal law it's illegal to suppress any sound on any firearm including a air gun unless you have your state issued tax stamp. However its not illegal to add a mock silencer cause its not a regulated firearm. Only mock suppressor I found that will fit the Steel Force is the Gemtech Madbull Halo. It does not in anyway change the noise level but gives it a more balanced feel and tacticool look.

Tacky

how is the gun, does it have great fps

asked john

Oh my gosh.... I was so impressed with the airgun from the moment I felt its weight while still in the box. Great to hold and great fps from the dual 12 gram powerlets, which I had to try at least once. I only tried the dual 12 grams 'once' because I had ordered, along with this air rifle, the conversion kit which allows you to use a large tank--and it is really nice with large continuous air supplies. . So now, I have a very impressive rifle , long lasting-fps consistency--since I attached a 48 cubic inch, 3000 psi max bolttle. Don't know yet how long a 48 cu tank will last.....but it looks like it going to be impressive, thus making me glad I got that conversion kit cause it will be well worth it as much as I shoot, and given the cost of the small 12gs. Plus, the great price on the gun, , allowed me to apply the savings to the equally well priced conversion kit. Super fun rifle straight out of the box. and I am really enjoying the large bottles of co2. I wish I had some pics...I just must be having too much fun shootin.

Anthony from USA

There are many reviews of this gun on YouTube, which led to myself, "making the plunge" and I as most are pleasantly surprised, there are chrono tests that put this in the 430 -500 range, but that depends on the freshness of the co2,s my first experience having the gun for 2 days, is it's really wicked, , it will destroy CDs, and burst open beer cans filled with water, at 40 feet, it has an awesome raspy loud "chi chigger chig chigger, !, you really get the sense you are shooting an automatic weapon, and you quickly realize that this is a weapon, and not a toy, as we can all visualize our body, and how easily we bleed, this can easily be a lethal device, at the minimum, your not going to laugh, your going to the Er, so that's the only thing that's a problem for me, as this needs to be only in responsible hands, so if your into destroying stuffing a safe range, you will not be disapointed, as far as feet per second, it's fast enough to wreck things, and it can also kill or hurt beings very bad, so it needs to be treated with respect

Michael from USA

In single shot mode the FPS is as advertised. If you are in rapid fire mode, the CO2 cartridges quickly get cold and the FPS drops considerably. It is still a "fun" gun to shoot, don't get me wrong. I'm glad I purchased it. This gun would benefit from some type of compressed air paintball tank setup, as with the Umarex Steel Storm.

Brian from USA

1-10 rate? how long do you think it would last? is there any cheaper version or combos for this gun?

asked t bone

I had 2 of them, one lasted about a thousand shots and the other one only lasted three hundred shots. They are a lot of fun while they lasted.

mike keating

It's about a 4 on your scale. All plastic. I got 25 CO2 cartridges with mine, it had issues after 6 CO2 cartiridges and now I have to cock it before/after every 6 round burst. I have only had it for three months and never abused it. For the money, get a Gamo pump.

Robert

It would a last a long time, given proper care and use. Best price I could find at this level. Works with just one co2 cartridge if you like, tried it , it works.

Ronan from USA

Is this gun decent for hunting small stuff like birds and squirrels? Was the gun worth your time and money based on accuracy and how long it lasts?

asked KEVIN

I wouldn't say it would humanely kill pests as it's only 430 fps. Its for target and plinking.

Yote

Does it shoot pellets or bbs or both?

asked Bill

It shoots BBs only.

Matthew from USA

What's A Good Scope To Put On UMAREX STELL FORCE?

asked John from USA

I did not put a Scope on mine as the 7.5 in, Sooth bore barrel that it has and full auto burst, I wasn't looking for it to be a tack driver. Although at 25 ft. I was able to put a full reservoir of BB's into target on once charge of CO2 with pretty good accuracy using the sights it has alone. I did find a UTG Red/Green Dot Sight- 30mm size to increase the accuracy and a Laser sight truly worked the best for an additional device. If you are really dead set on a scope for it, I would try out the Leapers Bug Buster with the quick disconnect Weaver mounts. I truly like that scope for a lot of applications on air guns.

Michael F. from USA

So, this gun has a burst option, as well as a full auto? or is it just Full auto

asked Dizz

Dizz, This gun is capable of firing both semi and full auto. If you have any more question feel free to email us back. Sincerely, The Airgun Depot Customer Care Team

Scott from USA

Does this take care of pests?

asked Ruary

you do want a higher f.p.s. RIFLE and one that shoots PELLETS not BB'S remember bb's will bounce of anything hard , wood for example a pellet will not as much

barry from USA

Well, this fires .177 caliber pellets at a velocity of 430 FPS, so you may be able to kill something as big as a squirrel. Even then, I do not recommend killing pests with a gun such as this, as it is suited mostly for plinking. To be on the safe side, I suggest purchasing a rifle with something more around 900+ FPS to kill something the size of the particular pests in your general area in the United States.
