Powerful gun

Best Air Rifle I have ever seen for the price. I would give it more stars if I could.
Pros:EverythingCons:It is a little bit too loud to fire in a residential area. This gun is very hard to cock in the beginning, You have to pull the safety out very far and slap behind the muzzle to cock it easily. |

Bought a .177 refurbished one for 99 bucks. Definitely a steal. Lots of power and accuracy. Changed the scope to a Centerfire 3-9x40 making it easier to take out any pesky varmints on my property.
Pros:Power and accuracy shoots like a real rifle.Cons:The rear adjustable sight but doesn't matter when using a scope. |

I received my air rifle and put a tasco 3-9x40 scope on it. It's on within 3 cm. I've taken out squirrels, raccoons, and birds with it. Overall, it's a great gun and I enjoy it.
Pros:Plenty of take down power Great for hunting Very accurateCons:Screws come loose Front sight was cockeyed Truglo strips come out after shootin it a few times Heavy |

Powerful rifle!

This rifle is good quality, powerful, and accurate. The scope that is matched with it has a hard time with the recoil from this powerful a spring piston gun. It tends to loose zero and eventually break. I have heard you should break the gun in with 100 rounds before mounting the scope.
Pros:Rifle Power AccuracyCons:Scope |

Perfection achieved by Ruger

I received my new Air Magnum 3 weeks ago and waited to write this review until I had put about 300 pellets through it for break in purposes. Turns out that this wait was unnecessary as about the only change I have noted is that the rifle quieted down after about 50 shots. Right out of the box, it has been a hard hitting and very accurate shooter that appears indifferent with regard to pellet profiles. I removed the scope during the break in period and as you can see from the attached target the rifle leaves little to be desired even when shooting with it's barrel mounted open sights. I was making 2 inch groups at 50 yards on open sights.
Should you decide to purchase one of these air cannons I strongly recommend applying loc-tite blue on everything accessible that has threads as this rifle packs a screw loosening punch with every pull of the trigger. I am going to mount a BSA Majestic 4X24 scope to this rifle to take it to it's full potential. I suppose if one were going to limit shooting to 25 or so yards the scope that comes with the rifle would suffice but with this rifle's capability, shooting it with a 4X scope is an injustice.
Pros:Price, power, accuracy, and consistency.Cons:Came out of the box with loose mounting (stock to receiver/barrel) screws. |

My Favorite in my collection

This was the last rifle I had bought, and I have to say it is amazing. I can shoot tight groups with this gun. How tight? How about 20 shouts in the size of a penny. The only down side to this gun is cocking it. You have to somewhat strong to cock it.
Pros:It shoots true.Cons:It can be hard to cock. |

I purchased a.177 model and love it! It loves being fed 10 grain pellets anything lighter are all over the place.I can easily snipe lizards at 30-40yds and squirrles 90-100 yds!! It can punch holes in steer signs and coins! Add a laser/light combo and it owns the night!
Pros:Power! Scope is nice, accuracy is excellent! Hide the jiffy! Rats beware!Cons:Loose fasteners! Clean and lock tight everything! |
