RWS 54 .22 Details:
A totally recoil-less, spring piston airgun seemed little more than a dream before the recent appearance of the Model 54. In order to realize this goal the engineers spent years experimenting with different systems until they created this mechanical marvel. Simple but durable, the 54 uses a floating action riding on rails to achieve a totally recoiless system that stands up to the pounding of our 1100 fps system. Not only does this arrangement prevent transmission of felt recoil to the shooter, it also permits the rifle to excel in the accuracy department. When the rifle is fired, the action moves back lightly within the stock, absorbing the recoil, and permitting the pellet to exit the barrel before any of the spring vibration affects its travel. This system dramatically improves the accuracy potential of this magnum air rifle, making it a first class choice for either long range pest control or the precise demands of field target shooting. This side lever cocking magnum rifle's other features include adjustable T06 trigger, adjustable rear sight, scope rail, Monte Carlo stock with cheek piece and checkering, and an automatic safety. Lifetime warranty.

Astounding!!!

Purchased the 54 with the Hawke scope & mount combo a couple of months ago. Ruined the scope after 50 shots or so (Hawke quickly replaced it). I have now put several hundred shots through it with no issues. It just gets better!!
I have access to a good rifle range and shoot from a bench rest. At 25 yards, I'm obliterating a quarter sized dot within 10 shots!! Amazing accuracy from a 'Springer'!!!
Have tried several brands of pellets. The rifle loves Beeman, FTS, domed, copper plated pellets!! Also, the Beeman and RWS hollow points. Took a squirrel off the back deck last evening, at 37 yards. He was SCD, (stone cold dead), and didn't move a step!!
Pros:Quality of workmanship, (the plastic trigger is fine), adjustable trigger is light and crisp. Accuracy is astounding!! The Hawke scope is terrific with Mil-Dots and lighted reticle!! (Never mind the first scope's problem). Overall, a great purchase!!Cons:Weight and bulkiness!! (I call it "The Beast"). I carried a M1 Garand in the military and this combo weighs more!!! Not for a "walk around" rifle. Needs to be shot from a rest. Cocking effort is much and it has a long stroke. One needs quite a bit of leverage and strength to accomplish it. |

RWS 54 Combo in .22 Caliber - Amazing
June 13, 2012
![]()
The recoilless operation is amazing! It lets you see the pellet landing on target (as well as when you pull a shot). Works well with lots of different pellets, but so far likes RWS Superdomes (14.2 gr at 810 fps) and Benjamin Discovery Hollowpoints (14.3 gr at 795 fps). Best 5-shot group at 25 yards was with Benjamin pellets and measured .25" CTC with Superdomes close behind at .35" CTC. The Hawke Scope with lockdown mount are rock-solid.
Pros:- recoilless operation - power (800+ FPS as measured with Chrony using .22 pellets in 14 gr. range) - accuracyCons:- weight, but that is a tradeoff for recoilless operation. Save money on gym memberships with this rifle. |

rws model 54

This rifle rocks. It is a bit heavy but most of the better made rifles are heavy. Excellent German quality. Very Powerful. When I first shot it, I couldn't believe it. No recoil. Unreal!!! All of the demonstrations for this rifle are true. I bought the 22 cal and it hits hard. This is one rifle that you want to shoot all the time. It is on the pricey side but worth every penny. You can buy one great rifle or settle for several average ones. RWS makes several great rifles but this air king model 54 tops them all.

RWS 54 is stellar
June 10, 2010

My friend got me on an air gun kick recently. I started doing research and settled on an RWS gun. I really wanted the 54 because, well lets face it, it's awesome. But my budget was more in the 48/52 range. I went to the local gun shop where I buy my "real" guns and what do I find? An RWS 54 (.22cal) with a Tasco 3-9x34 on consignment! We contacted the owner and it was an older gentleman who had only put about 200 pellets through it. I walked away with it for $450. Needless to say I'm very happy! It's a tackdriver, and I'm looking forward to upgrading the scope base and scope next. I am nothing but pleased with the RWS quality. Note: at 9 pounds its heavy, feels like 20.

RWS 54 .22 Combo

Absolutely superb rifle in every way. Beautifully made, and deadly accurate. I bought the combo deal which includes an excellent RWS300 scope and 'c' mount which on there own are worth $200 - hence the combo price is a great deal. I zeroed the rifle for 50 yards with RWS Super domed - easy 1/4" grouping if not tighter at that range - and for squirrels I use Crow Magnum pellets. This gun is amazing - NO recoil and not overly loud considering it's a magnum rifle. 5x squirrels with 5 shots - they didn't know what hit them ! Thank you RWS and Thank you Airgun Depot.

RWS Airguns- Model 54 .22 cal
February 29, 2008
![]()
Quite simply the best .22 Magnum you'll ever have the pleasure to own and shoot. Totally accurate, NO recoil at all, and not too loud. Beautifully made, and finished. This is a very powerful rifle - not for the weak or faint of heart, as it will give your arms a work out cocking it - but it's well worth it. The combo kit is an added bonus as the RSW300 included scope and 'C' Rail mount would cost at least another $200 if you bought them separately. 1/4" groups at 30 yards with a sight rest - I'm astounded by the power and accuracy of the gun. The RWS superdome pellets simply destroyed my $30 Beeman Pellet trap after 50 hits.....squirrels, pigeons and vermin beware ...there's a new sheriff in town.
You get what you pay for - and this beauty is worth every penny. If you are considering a Magnum air rifle look no further this does it all.

RWS 54, 22 caliber

This gun is an impressive piece of engineering. Even though it has a powerful spring, there's no "jump" recoil, which is great for accuracy when shooting from different positions. It's really something to just squeeze the trigger, feel nothing, and yet the pellet hits the bullseye with great force. And I just want to say here that I appreciate the great service and honesty of Airgundepot.

It's the finest pellet gun I have ever owned. It's accurate and powerful and I love to shoot it. I only wish this site had 22. cal round ball pellets, but until they do these rws superdomes will work nicely

This gun is great!! It is the best spring piston rifle I have ever shot. The accuracy is great shooting a pretty flat trajectory up to 50 yards with crossman premiers. The only down side is the rifle is huge and is pretty heavy so could be a problem if hunting for extended periods of time. A bit pricy but worth it you get what you pay for.

Answer:
You would need to contact www.umarexusa.com .However, warranty depends on what is wrong with the gun. If it was damaged or misused then they wont warranty it. If it was mechanical failure they will. Either way they should be able to fix it for you.
