The SOCOM Gear R700 is modeled after the Tokyo Marui VSR10 with a "real shock" system. The "real shock" system gives the rifle a small caliber firearms recoil similar to a .22 caliber rifle. This makes this rifle excellent for people looking to train young shooters or perform realistic target shots while not loosing any kind of realism.
In our initial tests of the SOCOM Gear R700 airsoft rifle we were astonished and mystified to see BBs traveling accurately up to 200 feet on only 250 feet per second (measured with .20gram BBs)! We were able to hit a 5 gallon bucket 3 out of 5 times at 225 feet after adjusting the hop-up and rear sight. Even though it is low powered this rifle is one of the most accurate we have ever seen! Because of the opens sites you are able to accurately track the trajectory of your BB and compensate on the fly while not being constrained by a scope.
This rifle also comes with a one piece Ghille cover for your rifle. This makes it perfect for use in a authentic sniper setup. It also uses the common VSR10 style magazine used by the TSD Tactical SD700 so replacements are readily available.

crapy gun, got it for $80 on a sale on a diff website (same gun tho) and it sucks. really, please please please dont waist your money. NOT WORTH $20, let alone $125 not only will you be outranged by AEG's but you will own the worst gun in the world. why? see pros and cons DONT EVEN GET THIS FOR A KID? BEGINNER! SO BAD, ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO USE!!!
Pros:nothing really. just the fact the plastic is grated, not shiny and smooth.
Cons:CONS: - cant mount an optic or scope - terrible power and range - very loose bolt, doesn't fit well (jumps when shot, and it slides to horizontally to far, so when the bolt is pushed back in it gets caught -cant shoot through cardboard -has fail "artificial kick" and worst of all: ***BB's WILL FALL OUT OF FRONT OF GUN*** slide right out of the barrol, which btw just floats around internally (decreases accuracy)
