With the powerful, spring-piston break-action of the X20, you can propel .22 caliber alloy pellets at a sizzling 1000 fps. The airgun comes with standard fiber-optic front and adjustable rear sights. The fiber-optic inserts—single red front and two-dot, green rear—make target acquisition easy in varying light and weather conditions. All X20 receivers feature an integral dovetail scope-rail. For added security, the air rifle has an automatic, ambidextrous safety, easily accessible on the rear of the receiver. The trigger assembly can be screw-adjusted for second-stage length. The raised, ambidextrous cheek piece lets you shoot comfortably, regardless of hand preference. Checkering on the pistol grip and fore-end ensures that you’ll have a firm grip in wet weather. A rubber butt-pad provides a firm shoulder mount and steady control. Add an extra level of performance by selecting any of the X20 Combo models with factory-mounted, 3-9x40 parallax adjustable rifle scopes. The X20 is ideal for plinking and all kinds of target shooting, and takes the field with sufficient power for pest control and small-game hunting.

Stoeger X-20 "Artemis"
March 18, 2013
I purchased this rifle as an upgrade to my previous air gun. Unfortunately, I messed up an address, but the people here at AGD were very helpful and soon she was on her way. I also bought a scope and mount to pair with it since they are not included in this particular deal. When I got it, I pulled it out of the box as fast as I could and just stood in awe for a moment. The beautiful wood stock, checkering, and raised cheek piece all consolidate to make a great looking rifle. Once I snapped somewhat back into reality, I used Stoeger's bore cleaning rope to fix that grimy barrel filled with the unwanted residue from the factory. I oiled it and went outside to put some shots through her. At first, the gun seemed pretty wild with shots just flying all over. Actually, when I looked at the first shot it had gone straight through the wood backstop ( which I believe was at least a 1/2 inch thick probably larger). Also, the sights are actually quite nice and look pretty cool. As I continued to blast away at the wood, the shots started to calm down but the cocking motion was very stiff and inconsistent. One stroke might be a bit stiff and then the next it would be like trying to pick up Thor's hammer in comparison to the previous. To fix this, I went back inside to clean and oil it a bit. That helped tremendously and it really started to smooth out. Once everything was straight, I put my new scope on and headed out once again. When I got it zeroed, it was just dead on striking perfectly pellet after pellet. I really recommend getting a scope for this gun because it helps bring out the full potential. Some say that you need to get a high mount to see over the sights, but I have a medium mount from Hawke and everything is fine! I have not taken any critters yet, but I am positive that this will stop them cold in their tracks. I call mine Artemis after the Greek goddess of hunting. If I can say anything it would be BUY IT! BUY IT! BUY IT!
Pros:Powerful Accurate Beautiful
Cons:You have to wait for it to ship

Stoeger X20 in .22 caliber
March 21, 2012
I had been wanting a medium powered break barrel airrifle in .22 caliber the didn't break the bank, and was light and handy. The Stoeger X20 certainly filled those requirements at 7 1/2 lbs and 42 1/2 inches in overall length. It took several hundred pellets to get the gun to settle down but it is now shooting 14.6 grain H&N Field Target pellets at an average velocity of 715fps. It will consistantly shoot 1/2 inch 10 shot groups at 20 yards, and this is shooting with a shooting stick not benched. The cocking stroke is easy and smoothed out nicely with a very secure barrel joint and lock up. The trigger while not a Rekord is not really a bad trigger after it starts breaking in. It's predictable and does just fine as a hunting trigger, and there are aftermarket trigger options for the X20 that work extremely well for minimal expense. Airgun Depot sells this model X20 for 119.00 in either wood or synthetic ambi stock. I am a lefty and preferred wood so again the X20 delivered. The stock is nicely done, feels good and has a rubber butt pad.The stock checkering is not sharp but provides plenty of extra grip, the satin finish is also smooth and consistant. The rifle comes with open sights that are well thought out and hold zero if you choose not to scope this rifle. If you do prefer a scope the dovetailed receiver allows for plenty of room for the scope of your choice. . The overall finish of the gun competes with guns costing 2 or 3 times the X20 amd it gives up nothing in the accuracy department, I couldn't be happier. I've been shooting airguns for quite sometime and have owned and used all the big name springers.
Pros:Fit and Finish Accuracy Power Cocking effort Barrel lock up Sights Ambi Stock design Cost Weight Overall length Resetable Safety
Cons:It reminds me how much money I wasted on springers costing much more The trigger while adequate could be better
