The Stoeger X50 is the magnum choice for all air rifle chores and challenges, from plinking and target shooting to pest control and small-game hunting. A robust, spring-piston, break-action system gives you the power to drive .22 alloy pellets at a potent 1200 feet per second. The airgun has an ergonomic cocking grip that assures fast and easy, single-stroke charging on each and every shot. The blued-steel, rifled barrel provides accuracy and years of service. It comes with standard, fiber-optic front and adjustable rear sights. Target acquisition is quick and easy with red front and two-dot, green rear fiber-optic inserts. All X50 receivers feature an integral dovetail scope-rail. For added security, the X50 features an automatic, ambidextrous safety, easily accessible on the rear of the receiver. The trigger assembly can be screw-adjusted for second-stage length. X50 models are mounted in Monte Carlo-style stocks for improved control and target acquisition. The raised, ambidextrous cheek-piece lets you shoot comfortably, regardless of hand preference. Checkering on the pistol grip and fore-end ensures a firm grip in wet weather. A rubber butt-pad provides a solid shoulder mount.

Powerful 22 cal air rifle, sights hard to set, use a rest. Put scope on after breakin
July 29, 2014
I didnt buy from airgun depot because of shipping regs. I bought an X20 first and had an abundance of problems barrel wouldnt close and pellets had to be forced in, so they replaced with the X50 cannon. Its heavy but without the scope its not bad.I stand when I cock it so I am pushing down, it will make you the strongest guy in the niehborhood. Very powerful gun.
Pros:
Shoots extremely hard!
Cons:
Hard to cock and hard to shoot without a support. Its just too heavy.

way to long

It is very long. It does not shoot the 1200 fps as advertized. How do i know this? I have a crony tester. I know what sellers do to decieve people they use the lightest alow pelet they have to do there testing. I have used the lightest alow gold plated on the market and still didn't get 1200 fps, SAD.

Stoeger Arms X50 .22 cal

This is an excellent airgun with incredible punch. It requires about 42 lbs of cocking pull. It is accurate and well balanced. I would call it the ultimate heavy game air rifle that is well priced. Airgun depot is where I purchased this item and I am 100% happy! I like Crosman .22 cal hollow points with this rifle.

has any one actually achieved 1200 fps with PBA ammo? ive seen a ton of chrony results showing in the high 800s no shops around me carry this rifle so im looking for as much info on this one as possible before i order one. what does everyone think is this better then the walther talon magnum in .22? thanksfor your time and effort in answering me.

By Conor from Sunnyside, WA on February 11, 2012

Answer:
No, 1200 fps can't be reached...possibly 980fps, but that is a max. I'd go with the Walther Talon.

By librim from LI, NY on November 24, 2011
Is a scope really necessary for this rifle?
By Conor from Sunnyside, WA on February 11, 2012

Answer:
No, you can shoot open sights if you want.
