This Walther Talon Magnum Air Rifle is a powerful .22 caliber rifle that features a robust spring piston break barrel mechanism for maximum velocity with just one cock of the air rifle. At an amazing 1000 feet per second with a standard lead pellet and a zooming 1150 fps with a hyper velocity pellet, this .22 caliber air gun is an ideal air rifle for small game hunting, plinking and small pests. It's made of a strong, weather resistant synthetic stock. It's topped with a sturdy rail for holding the included 3-9x32 air gun scope with duplex reticule. It also has TruGlo fiber optic sights for use without the scope. Unique to this pellet rifle is its adjustable length of pull provided by removing or adding the included inserts between the vented recoil pad and the stock. This magnum rifle also sports a Monte Carlo stock design with a right-hand cheek piece and checkering in the grip and forearm. This Walther rifle has an automatic safety and large muzzle brake to ease its operation and handling. This Talon Magnum air rifle by Walther is one of the best quality, high velocity rifles with a black synthetic stock on the market.

I am on a fixed income at this time! I wasn't looking to spend big money on some of these high prised air guns, so I decided to buy a refurb! When I opened the box what a surprise! No visable evidence of any sort that this was a referb! Put scope on, Went out to the back yard and started putting rounds thru it! Nice and accurate, 25 shoots and scope was tuned in! Very nice gun! I have many gamo rifles, This by far is the best I have! And it's a refurb! Shortly after playing with this rifle I went in and ordered the .25 caliber walther! Soon to review this one to! Great rifle for the money! You will not be dissaponinted!
Pros:Built like a real .22. Weight, cocking, and noise!
Walther Talon .22

Overall after breaking it in it's a pretty good shooter. The scope that came on it lasted about 50 shots, it rattles now. Put on another scope I had and put another 300 rnds through it, groups kept tightening up as I got more lead down the barrel. It then quite grouping so I stated checking things out and it seems it sheared the screw off on the scope stop so retapped it 8-32 and everything's going good now. I've tried Crosman, Daisy, RWS & Predator Ballistic Tip and Big Boy pellets. At 30yds the Crosman, Daisy and RWS got about 3" groups, the Big Boy's got a 4" group and the Predator BT's got 1" so I'm sticking with the Predators. I would have given it a solid 5 stars had the scope & mount not given me issues, while I can forgive the scope because the rifle has a surprising amount of recoil the scope stop shearing was unacceptable. Looking forward to Pine Squirrel & Marmot season now.
Walther Talon refurbished .22

This is a powerful rifle that shoots accurately and really, it's not that loud either. Only drawback for me as a riflewoman is the cocking effort... I literally have to use both arms and usually step on the thing too (bad form, I realize this). Probably not the best gun for a kid or a lady unless dad's along to help in that dept.

i was afraid that a refurbished gun wouldn't hold up but as soon as i got it an shot it for the first time i was totaly conviced its power dont even get me started. a deer was in front of us (my dad and i)well he shot at it because he new my walther wasn't strong enough . he missed and i shot at the deers neck and it dropped! my dad shot it again because it was suffering. walther has out done the game

this gun is a real good gun it shoots hard and kicks harder than a 22 but i have killed more with this than my 22 the first week i got it i killed 11 birds a squirl and a possom i yous rws supperpoint for hunting and accuracy but i found out that crossman field points are alco really good pellets if you need cheep pellets so this gun is a good gun but make shure you keep the bolts tightend up

Great refurbished rifle. Plenty of power for great penetration. Shoots well now and after it's broken in I have hopes that it will shoot even better. After about 40 pellets the cross hair wire broke so it's off to warranty repair. We'll see if they stand behind their products.

Answer:The Talon .22 without a doubt has the stopping power for a raccoon. I have owned many .22 rifles, and while the Talon is tremendous in power, it requires an inverse amount of shooting capabilities. If your willing to give it time and have enough strength to cock it, it will be a primary hunting weapon.

Answer:I have no doubt it is powerful enough to kill a raccoon. Like the taking of all game you must put your shot into a vital area. It has great penetrating power.
By Conor from Sunnyside, WA on February 8, 2012
Answer:Yes, it is capable of killing a raccoon out to like 40yds.
