If you enjoy pest elimination and hunting with your air rifle but are worried about bothering your neighbors, the 1400CS air rifle has a sound suppressor on the end of the muzzle. Winchester says the sound of your shot will be reduced by 50%! This air rifle is loaded with accessories. The bipod is attached to the sides of the rifle's forearm and is there when you need it to steady your aim but can be flipped up out of the way when you don't need it. No clumsy or confusing bipod adapter needed! Lots of shooters like the option of attaching a sling, but it's a pain to attach the sling swivel studs. Winchester's already done that for you. Just pull the sling through the swivel loops, and you're good to go all day in the field. The gun will be there when you need it without weighing you down when you're on the move.

This is the most powerful break barrel .177 I have ever owned. I own a large assortment of air rifles, but this is my go to. It takes time to break in this rifle and I recommend getting a better scope, if not, better scope mounts will help. What I like most about this rifle is that it offers a humane kill. Even if I miss the head or vitals, the kinetic energy is powerful enough to stop the heart or rattle the brain. I use heavier grain hollow point .177 pellets, but it works well with standard Daisy, Benjamin or Gamo pellets found at most sporting good stores. Great rifle.

Pros
Power, bipod, accuracy after break in period, velocity and knock down power

Cons
None that I can think of after owning one for 6 years

I read complaints about not accurate here . Like most rifled springers , It has a breaking in period . It takes about 300 shots . This gun is very acurate . as the pic will show you , this gun has the power . And trigger is metal with plastic coating , so have no idea how it could have just broke off like on review says . The pic is is a shot from 35 yards . No twitching , not even a step

Pros
power and accuracy

Cons
heavy

Broke the gun while trying to sight in the scope. While cocking the rifle, it broke right at the trigger. About 30 shots into sighting the scope. could not keep a grouping on the scope, was all over the place.

Pros
not much

Cons
Very long, need to rest gun on bipod for accurate shooting.

What dose this rifle really weight? The specs from the website says "Gun Weight 4.99" pounds. The box I was reading in a retail store stated the weight at 9 pounds.

asked Robert from USA

This rifle is very heavy. It is as heavy as my 12ga shotgun. At least 9 lbs.

Scott Compton

It certainly won't be 5lbs. My guess is 9 with the scope which would be typical of this style gun in this power range.

Todd

How good is this air rifle

asked Kenneth from USA

It's one of the best air rifle I've ever seen I have a big collection this is the best one. You'll need a better scope ring and that's all but overall it's the best air rifle I have I've killed a lot of squirrels with this gun if you want it get it you wil love it.

Aaron

This gun is amazing with its range and knockout power. It's a little heavy and long but the sling and bi pod fixes that
