The X10 is a European-style air rifle that offers state-of-the-art performance and power. Its reliable, spring-piston break-action with ergonomic cocking grip for easy charging give you the power to propel .177 alloy pellets at a potent 1200 feet per second. The straight-comb-style hardwood stock of the airgun is a hunter’s favorite. It is fitted with a rubber butt-pad for a solid shoulder mount and improved control. The X10 is also available with a lightweight, all-weather black synthetic straight-comb stock. The rifled, blued steel barrel of the Stoeger X10 guarantees accuracy and years of service. It comes with standard fiber-optic front and adjustable rear sights. For added security and control, the X10 features an automatic, ambidextrous safety mounted on the rear of the receiver. The trigger can be screw-adjusted for second-stage length. This is a great airgun, and Stoeger is an excellent German company, (although this is made in China, but very well!) This is a great intermediate scopeless air rifle, with great fiber optic sights, a muzzle break, and nice wood! It is very accurate, rather powerful, and well made to Stoeger's specifications-it also has a two year warranty! I highly recommend this air rifle.

First of all I should mention that I am 70 years old. I had my first rifle when I was in the Greek boys scouts. I was 12 .It was a Diana air gun. 6 years later I moved to Arlington, Va. everything was beautiful. Except one thing. My first love wasn't with me. So a few months later and I went to Silver Spring, MD to a gun-shop and bought a BSA 22. Then later I bough a nice air rifle with the letters eco on the barrel. No fiber optics .They all had the metal sights. I was under the impression all the guns I had were the best available. They all had the wood stock. They all were beautiful, still are. I bought all types of airguns as long as they had the shining wood stock. You think I am a fanatic? Maybe because when there is something wrong with my car, or when my air rifles aren't around, and my PC is not working I cant sleep. So you decide. Don't like firearms except my hunting shotgun, a German made double barrel, which was originally registered under the name of Sen. Ernest Hollings. I Still have it in Greece but in a better shape that ever was.To the point two months ago, I bought my Stoeger. Why? because its a beauty. At first it was too hard to cock. Now its a breeze. At first, it wasn't so accurate with cheap pellets. Now I can hit the same hole over and over again at 8 meters. You only see one hole sometimes a little bigger than the one shot. Its the best looking airgun that I have owned and I keep them in display on my small motels reception . Once in a while I take it down just to touch it and run my hands over it to get that feeling.

Pros
For the price, I think is the best value in the world. Even just looking at it, it is worth the money.

Cons
Takes a little time to tame it but for most guns thats normal.

Would this gun be able to kill a squirrel?

asked joe

You could pretty much say this guns was built to shoot squirrels! Basically rabbits or crows and smaller are ok for this gun, but squirrels, rats, starlings, etc are ideal size. The power and accuracy should be good to 50 yards, but within 30 yards or less would be ideal. Use good pellets like the Stoeger, JSB, Crosman Premier, H&N and in the 7.9 to 10.5gr range and you're good to go. I'd say the H&N crow mag would be especially effective because it's a top of the line hollow point and it has some weight to it. Don't buy Gamo or other cheapie pellets, it's so worth it to pay the extra for nice ones.
