For a full review of Stoeger Airguns by expert Tom Gaylord click here. With the powerful, spring-piston break-action of the Stoeger X20 air rifle, you can propel .177 alloy pellets at a potent 1200 feet per second. The ergonomic cocking grip permits quick and easy, single-stroke charging. And the X20’s rifled, blued steel barrel provides accuracy and years of service.

The airgun comes with standard fiber-optic front and adjustable rear sights. The fiber-optic inserts—single red front and two-dot, green rear—make target acquisition easy in varying light and weather conditions. All X20 receivers feature an integral dovetail scope-rail. For added security, the air rifle has an automatic, ambidextrous safety, easily accessible on the rear of the receiver. The trigger assembly can be screw-adjusted for second-stage length.

X20 models are available mounted in a Monte Carlo-style stock that makes target acquisition quick and easy. Stocks are available in hardwood, black synthetic, and genuine Advantage Timber camo finishes. The raised, ambidextrous cheek piece lets you shoot comfortably, regardless of hand preference. Checkering on the pistol grip and fore-end ensures that you’ll have a firm grip in wet weather. A rubber butt-pad provides a firm shoulder mount and steady control. Features an adjustable two-stage trigger; integral dovetail scope rail on receiver; non-slip, deluxe rubber recoil pad and an ambidextrous safety mounted on back of the receiver.

The X20 is ideal for plinking and all kinds of target shooting, and takes the field with sufficient power for pest control and small-game hunting.

Will it be reliable?
September 12, 2013
First of all I have to commend the personnel whom I dealt with at Benelli USA.. They could not have been any more pleasant and helpful to deal with. Unfortunately I have had to return the gun to the factory 3 times since I purchased it in June 2013. The first time I sent it back was due to a decrease in velocity which turned out to be a spring and seal problem. The second time was an accuracy issue which was due to a broken spring behind the locking lug and a loose barrel joint. The third time was a cocking issue. It just wouldn't cock and I haven't received it back yet from the factory. In spite of these problems I really like the gun for many reasons. It is extremely smooth and easy to cock, requiring very little effort. It is very accurate and powerful and it is no problem to shoot quarter size groups at 25 yards and 1 to 2 in groups at 45 yds. and 2 to 3 in. groups at 65 yards. It is relatively quiet and is not too heavy for prolonged shooting outings. It is not real pellet fussy and Crosman hollowpoints and domes work well in this gun. If you purchase this gun get ready to probably buy a scope and a replacement trigger from Charlie Da Tuna if you want to get good results with it. I mounted a Hawke 4x12x50 scope on it which I purchased from Airgun Depot which does a good job.
Pros:
Easy to cock. Accurate. Not too heavy.
Cons:
Terrible trigger.. Basically in the same price range as several other guns which offer so much more for the money such as the Hatsan 95 which is far superior in every aspect.

Deal of the Day
August 1, 2013
This rifle was a deal of the day. Price was too cheap to turn down. All my other pellet guns are 22 cal so I wanted a cheap 177 for my grandson to shoot. I put an NC Star 4 X 16 scope on it and it shoots great. My grandson loves it when he can get it out of my hands. Shoots on the mark everytime and hits hard. Better than I expected
Pros:
Cheap and shoots straight and hard
