BSA XL Tactical Air Rifle .22 Caliber
January 5, 2012
I owned many air rifles in the past, price ranges from $100 to $500 up. At a price range of $350 in my opinion, BSA XL Tactical .22 is one of the best break barrel air rifle in the market today. When used with the right ammo, this rifle can take out any small game in the back yard! Like many quality air rifles, the BSA XL Tactical .22 doesn’t come with scope or open sight! Please do not use a cheap scope on this rifle! Save your money and buy something nice! You’ll be very impressed with its accuracy and power!
Pros:
Almost everything!
Cons:
Inside the grip there is a small storage area, you can access by removing the grip cap. The recoil of the spring loosen the grip cap to come off, making it useless! I creasy glued mine and it’s all good. BSA If you reading this! Please make it tighter or just seal it!

Q&A
By Darrin from Spokane,Wa on November 26, 2011
Are the new BSA Lightning XL Tactical Air Rifles you are selling still manufactured by BSA in England or are they the Spanish Gamo versions?
Thanks!
By Tommy from New York on January 6, 2012

Answer:
Hello Darrin! I must tell you that, I am not associated nor sell merchandises for Air Gun Depot, LLC.
I have recently became one of their customer by purchasing XL Lighting Tactical. I gave Airgun Depot an excellent feedback for their reasonable price and fast shipping! Thank you Airgun Depot!!!
And now to answer your question Darrin: My BSA Lightning XL Tactical was made from small town in Birmingham, England.
I like to tell you a little history about BSA Company. BSA has been making fine quality air rifle since 1861. That's 151 years of experience of craftsmanship!
You have a good taste in air gun Darrin! XL Tactical will be gone soon, get this while it's in stock.
Good luck!

Answer:
From what I gather BSA was purchased by Gamo in the mid 80's. BSA spring rifles or most of their parts are made in England shipped to Spain for assembly then shipped back to England for distribution. I read somewhere that BSA has focused more on PCP rifles. I have recently purchased a BSA XL tactical in .22. It's very powerful, accurate, quiet, light and not too hard to cock. I have no doubt this can easily take a raccoon down. There were some quality control issues early on when the first models were being assembled by Gamo but these issues seem to have been sorted out. I don't know exactly how long after being purchased they began being assembled in Spain but any serial number on these that begin with an S were assembled in Spain. My barrel reads BSA Guns UK LTD and my serial # begins with an S.
